Gustoso in Swindon

I had to spend a morning in Swindon and wanted a nice breakfast. This place delivered in spades. Very nice staff, and excellent breakfast. I had Colombian Eggs which I had never heard of before, it's basically scrambled eggs with chopped chorizo, and was delicious and quite filling. My wife opted for a Half-English breakfast (half the size of a Full English), and a slice of fried bread. All of the ingredients were to quality and she pronounced the fried bread to be perfectly cooked. Will definitely visit if I am ever in Swindon for a morning again.

This is ALWAYS our go to place for brekky or lunch, has a great atmosphere staff are friendly, nothing is ever too hard to do for you and must agree with other reviews that the coffee is very nice.....see you guys soon.

Without doubt the best breakfast I have ever had. Mushrooms were amazing. Can’t stand hash browns normally but these were lovely. Coffee great too. Service first class. Def be going back. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was good, service was friendly and efficient even when busy, only complaint is that it is closed Wednesdays.

Really good experience here today. Friendly welcome, good service, and very good food (veggies panini and drink) at a reasonable price. It was busy but the two young ladies on duty coped admirably. Well done !

Best breakfast! We usually end up at Gustosos after our Sunday morning walk. The breakfasts are reasonably priced and the food is excellent. The staff are welcoming and friendly every time. Recommended.

to be honest i personally think this is the best spot in town to have a nice coffee or breakfast :) we just wish i could be a nice weather allways we go there because we like to seat outside

The flat white coffee I had on Gustoso today was definitely the best one I've ever had! My lunch of grilled halloumi, sun-dried tomatoes, hummous and rocket panini was also amazing. I'm so glad I've discovered this place!

Overall experience was really good. The menu has everything on it you would wish to see for lunch choices. The staff provided a very good welcome, and the friendliness and good service was a consistent theme. The quality and standard of the food was very high, and the good presentation a bonus. Also very importantly the standard of cleanliness was high.

Clean, safe and friendly during lockdown. Sanitizer available and great staff. Well organised. Food always great.

After weeks of being in lockdown I was excited to hear that my favourite cafe was opening for takeaways, food and coffee. On my arrival the owners made sure every safety precaution was in place such as floor markings for distancing, wearing protective gear and hand sanitiser was also available for customers. Enjoyed my usual caramel latte and as expected the breakfast muffin was amazing!

What a breath of fresh air! As vegans we ordered jacket potatoes with no butter and baked beans as there wasn't much choice. To our complete surprise the chef came over to our table and offered to make us a vegetable medley with soya cream! It was absolutely delicious and blew us away. As vegans we often find eating out can be limited but this sort of effort deserves recognition. I highly recommend this place.

Good friendly service and this was very obviously cooked from scratch. Creamy, very tasty and a massive portion! So much that I had a doggy bag and had it again in the evening! Thank you 🙏

I love this place, especially now the weather is getting better again, it's so nice to sit outside. Staff are friendly and food always spot on. Huge portions for the price, highly recommend the eggs Benedict!

Visited on Sunday morning with partner and dog, fairly quiet at first but tables began to fill up as time went on. We ordered a panini each, very nice and good value for money. It's the service that warrants the 5 star rating, a warm welcome, the dog was made a fuss of and offered a dog treat, I accidently spilt my drink, staff immediately on the scene to clear up the mess and I was offered a refill. All in all a charming, friendly and well run joint, highly recommended.

Last minute arrangement to meet the husband for lunch ended up with us popping along to Gustoso, as sun was shining and you can sit inside or out. There’s a good range of items on the menu, including options for Gluten Free and Vegetarian diets. The BLT baguette was freshly made to order, served with a dressed salad and tortilla chips. It was really delicious with quality ingredients. The Cake selection was great and the Lemon Drizzle we chose was lovely- light and fluffy with a crunchy lemon topping. Be careful that you don’t miss this hidden gem when visiting the Old Town area of Swindon. You’re definitely missing out if you don’t give it a try!

First visit and won’t be our last. Stumbled on Gustoso on a wintery weekend walk and had planned to just get take away coffee. Just as we were trying to decide who was going to stay outside with the dog, the waitress came out and invited us to go in with the dog. We ended up having the most lovely breakfast. The chiapatta with sausage, bacon and omlette was scrummy

We came here because we are always with our favourite companion and take her everywhere with us, the staff were very friendly and happy to greet our dog with treats and water.The food was very nice the breakfast ciabatta especially, it was unlike anything I’ve had before I loved everything about it, the salsa is a very nice touch indeed!We are not local, but have family in Swindon so we will be back more often now. This is the first time we called here. The small breakfast was great value and very good quality. The menu on offer is simple to understand and reasonable price. Mug of tea just £1.50.

Popped in here for lunch with a friend. Nice lunchtime menu, gluten free bread on offer, although it was frozen so needed to be toasted but impressed they had it. Good coffee and nice to sit outside people watching

Dog friendly and very welcoming good quality products and coffed. Nice to sit iutside. Sometimes too many kids.

I popped in for an afternoon drink and cake. The cake was lovely and so was the toasted tea cake. Great ambience and all round great experience.

Really nice food and friendly staff . We had a late breakfast on a Monday afternoon and the food is lush . I had eggs Benedict,my fiancé a full English breakfast and our friend a burger . Highly recommend,we’ll come again !

Working breakfast on a busy sunday morning. Breakfast was pretty good on the whole. Customer service was reasonably good. Breakfast was good although the bacon was a little too dry for me. overall good experience.

Passed by this place many times but this was my first visit and not sure what to expect. Had a flat white while deciding what food to order. This coffee wastruly superb. My chicken and chorizo panini was served promptly and made a very tasty meal. Would have liked to linger over a second coffee but the seats (inside) were too hard or long term comfort.

Was really impressed with this little place. We both had smoothies and bacon sausage and cheese omelet served on toasted ciabatta. The tomato salsa was a great addition. Good quality produce and well cooked for a very reasonable price.

I have always walked past this place and wondered what type of place it was and on Saturday I found out. It’s actually a nice little place to sit outside and watch the world go by, the food is of a good quality and well presented. I will definitely be going back

After a busy morning in and around Swindon Old Town, desperately required a ' shot of caffeine ' so ducked into the establishment, which serves up. in my humble opinion, the ' best Americano ' in the area and a good variety of snacks and meals as well. Worthy of a visit, if you find yourself, if in the vicinity.

This is a really nice, well sited café/restaurant in Old Town. Plenty of seating and a nice outside area which is popular in hot weather. We have been visiting for several years and it's our first choice for lunch when in the area because of the quality of it's food and overall ambience. Great value for money and friendly, pleasant service.. we'll keep going!!

Had a lovely lunch with great service loads of choice for the kids! The salads were fresh and the food we had was delicious! Will visit again. :)

This place is just great .good food cooked fresh and you can taste the difference my steak and red onion baggette was the best i have ever had cooked medium rare and bursting with flavour the rest of my family had other items off the menu and where equally as impressed . This place is clean and tidy and the owners obviously pay attention to every detail ..

Second time I've been here for a light lunch. Throughly enjoyable, I had nachos followed by a latte, strong but not bitter, and then a delicious slice of carrot cake.

This cafe has a great atmosphere, small but fits plenty of people in. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food and coffee, well priced. Dogs are very welcome here.

Popped into gustoso for lunch and come across the special's board, the Angus Beef with homemade onion chutney, rocket, Gorgonzola and Parmesan shavings served on a toasted brioche bun not only sounds lovely but taste beautiful, something I would highly recommend while it's still available!

I love this place! The staff are really friendly and the food is fantastic. They allow well behaved dogs and always bring over a bowl of water and a treat. Great in summer to sit out in the sun or cosy inside in the winter.

I've been to Gustoso time and time again an to be honest I don't know why I haven't left a review already. Gustoso has all you want from a town centre bistro (and more), from Saturday afternoon wine and beer to a Sunday morning hangover cure and everything either side.

Bueno expreso. Tuve el tamaño normal. Usted puede elegir si necesita más grande de cafeína. Desayuno parece muy bueno; tendrá que renunciar a la tentación para la próxima visita.

Vimos este lugar en nuestro camino de vuelta al coche después de una breve visita a la Ciudad Vieja. Aprovechó para tomar un almuerzo ligero y bebidas como el tiempo era bueno y tienen una gran zona de asientos al aire libre. Precioso, un personal amable y servicio, sándwiches sencilla y deliciosa ensalada con patatas fritas. y Precioso lugar y sentado al sol, hizo que el día fuera para nosotros hoy!

El desayuno fantástico y Carbonara. Personal muy amable y acogedor. La comida es realmente de primera clase y el valor de la calle 1 y muy bien situado. Perro también amable.

Humor hasta un poco más tarde de lo normal el sábado y decidimos tener un desayuno completo para mantenerte hasta llevar al curry.

Popped in as we were hungry..Had the mini breakfast.Comprising of Lincolnshire sausage, good egg, fresh tomato, smoked bacon toast pot of tea...lovely..just enough.. Reasonable price.. Go. Visit..would recommend.

Have been here three times and enjoyed it so much. Tasty bread, dips, excellent olives and fresh capers started our group meal. The olive oil and balsamic was really good, too. All of dishes looked and tasted good. Friends loved the creamy chicken dish, asparagus and ham. I really enjoyed the permit mussels, bruschetta and halloumi. All good good good. Only minor retraction is the slight need to work on the light/ambience here. This place serves food every bit as good, sometimes better, than Los Gatos - it is great for a group meal and not so noisy. It suits cosy and large meals.

Gustoso is a lovely place to eat, the food is nice, paninis, and chilli chicken are my favourites here, the breakfasts and tapas are gorgeous too.You always feel welcome here and everyone is friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble.

we were in old town one afternoon as visited the dentist,were were so hungry and wanted just a little bite to eat in a cafe. so we went to the cafe which we've been to before but when we went in they have had a power cut as well as a few shops on the street and they said all they could do was sandwiches which we didn't want,so we came out and looked everywhere for another cafe we might like,and then we came to gustoso,had a look at the menu before we sat down and saw delicious things on the menu so we took a seat,i ordered a simple jacket potato with beans and cheese which was cooked to perfection and was very tasty,my mother had a chorizo panini which was recommended by the staff as she couldn't make her mind up what she wanted,and she ate all of it and said it was to die for which obviously meant it tasted amazing. Great friendly service and outstanding food would definitely return and tell friends to go there too.great outdoor seating to enjoy the sun whilst you enjoy the food and drinks.

After an early start, missing my breakfast, I did what I often do, popped into this handily placed Cafe for a lunchtime mini breakfast and a couple of cups of their excellent Americano coffee ! Friendly Italian staff - very reasonable prices - now quite a regular haunt of mine !

Beautiful location just off the Main Street in old town. Attended on a sunny day and beautiful place to sit outside and enjoy. Carrot cake was delicious, fresh and moist. Friendly staff who were professional and helpful.

Went here for a cup of tea with a friend and came out smelling lie I'd been sat in a greasy cafe for 2 days!
