Gusto 272 in Brent

A nice Mediterranean / Italian style restaurant and whilst quiet on the lunchtime we chose, we nevertheless had an enjoyable a relaxing hour and a half. Service was attentive and the food good and in adequate portion sizes. If you have not tried Gusto 272, do do, especially if you are attending Wembley Stadium / Area, just get the Metropolitan Line to Preston Road (1 stop), cross the road, turn left, find gusto and enjoy. You won't be disappointed, A bit of a hidden gem given some of the local offerings.

A weekday re visit after a year or so Again not very many diners in but at least it gives the opportunity to enjoy your meal and make conversation with our companions we all started with a tomato dish on an Italian style bread which was very nice 3 of us has the lamb chops which were enormous portions delightfully cooked with fries and one thought he ordered a spaghetti which arrived as a risotto and he could not have been more delighted with his mix up The lamb chops were delicious and at the menu price exceptional value If you are going out for a nice inexpensive meal as opposed to a special its unbeatable, shame we dont live nearer

Attentive and friendly service, reasonable selection of menu and all our dishes were excellent. I liked the vibrant atmosphere.

We are there round about 6pm on a Saturday evening and we were the only people in there. If it wasn’t for the pizza oven we wouldn’t have known from the decor that it was Italian. Very bland boring interior. Although it was empty it was noisy when a waiter set up a new table scraping the chairs across the floor. They were playing a soundtrack of music which was very irritating to the point that we were glad to leave. The food was average and my starter of calamari worked out at £1 for each thin little battered ring. I paid a lot for a very bland glass of rosé wine. If this is the best they can offer then we won’t be going there again.

We were late booking dinner at wembley stadium for a concert and so couldn’t get booked week of concert anywhere for love nor money …. So glad we didn’t now - such a beautiful , incredibly clean , friendly restaurant ! The food was gorgeous too and nothing was too expensive . We spent 2 hours here and didn’t feel rushed at all .

Not your typical Italian style restaurant although very nicely put together unfortunately the evening we chose to visit there were very few diners so somewhat lacking in atmosphere The menu consists of the usual pizza and pasta with limited Entrees Our group of four had bruschetta to start and pasta mains all nicely Presented and perfectly pleasant Very attentive and good service and reasonable price although the menu had a mixed grill for £70 for sharing for how many it didn’t say but if for two a bit heavy

Lovely Italian restaurant, nice place. Arrabbiata pasta was lovely with the cheesy garlic bread. Ordered two pina colada mocktails and they gave us diluted pineapple juice with soda water and lime with a little froth on top. Definitely not a pina colada. After complaining, they still made us pay £12 for these drinks. We offered to pay for one as we had drank some. Disappointed in the way they handled this. Fries are not fries but dry steak chips.

Checked out this local Italian restaurant last week with some friends. Lots of happy diners so a nice buzzy atmosphere. Staff were friendly and efficient, all were wearing their masks correctly. We all knew that we wanted to try out the wood fired pizzas, so shared a couple of starters to leave enough room. Calamari had a light crispy coating with tender squid inside. Would have preferred the tomato sauce for the arancini to be on the side to allow the outside to stay crispy. The pizzas soon followed and they were HUGE! with lovely authentic looking crust. I had the Gousto pizza which had fior de latte, rocket, Parma ham, cherry tomatoes, burrata, and Parmesan. It was delicious! However, we were all only able to manage around half each, and got the remainder boxed up to take home. There were some handy re-heating instructions on the box and I can confirm that the pizza still tasted good the next day! A couple of "even better if" points: - Would have preferred a little more space between tables on the right hand side of the restaurant as you enter. It was a bit of a squeeze to get into my seat with the chair back pressed right against that of the person sitting directly behind me. - Some slightly sharper knives, as I struggled a couple of times to cut through the pizza toppings Will definitely return to check out the rest of the menu! I originally booked through OpenTable, and received an e-mail confirmation plus an e-mail reminder the day before. However, after reading a review where someone said that the restaurant had no record of their OpenTable booking, I also rang to double check. They told me that they had parted company with OpenTable as there had been problems with bookings not being received. Being local and seeing the extension at the back when visiting my doctor's surgery I wanted to try what I thought was an Italian restaurant. Being of an older generation I have over many years developed a conception of what most Italian restaurants have in common. A very welcoming staff, a display of starters, maybe olives on the table. Slow service when empty and quick when busy. This place was nothing like an Italian restaurant I remember. My first mistake was not to be ready when the charming waitress came to take the order. After that I had a long wait. My wife thought the portion of prawns whilst nice was too few. My Calamari was better than many a decent amount. The house red nice a bit expensive at £22.95. The lamb chops plentiful but over cooked in my opinion. A small salad at £6.96 seemed expensive. And then there was a mandatory 12.5% service charge. What did press was the copper domed pizza oven and a decent selection of freshly cooked pizzas. A definite to try next time.
