What a find. Great food and excellent service

We had buffet lunch in Gurkha Village today and also ordered chicken Chow Chow and Chilli Momo . The food is very nice and we really enjoyed. However, when I asked some napkins paper , the waiter has given only three napkins paper as we are four members although. I hope the management would certainly look in to it and will put some positive measures to give their customers utmost satisfaction

Top Quality Meal in lovely Atmosphere with Excellent Friendly Fast Service. Popped in after day at races & Staff couldn’t do enough to cater for us with my son in a wheelchair. Food was to die for & Loved the Nepalese Lager. Exquisite taste of spices in our 3 mains. Wished I lived in the area…. Would visit Every Week.

Delicious food from Gurkha Village as always. Always arrives hot and tasty - went for the Gurkha lamb and Momos. Portion sizes just right. Arrived earlier than the estate but that's great as I was hungry.

The food was excellent, and the service was great. Good value for money. The menu has something that everyone liked. My son had butter chicken and said it was the best he’d had. I had a Himalayan dish I’d not tried before which was delicious. Would highly recommend

I had another excellent meal at Gurkha Village yesterday evening. The food was great as usual but what really makes the experience wonderful is the staff who are always very happy to offer advice about dishes and chat about life in Nepal. Asjun is particularly lovely and went above and beyond his professional role to make us feel welcome and relaxed and asked the chef to make us an authentic chai tea. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The vegetables were uncooked We asked the restaurant who sent a replacement who then argued with us that they were cooked Very poor customer service ! Do not recommend

Has been good in the past, but missed part of my order, then didn't respond when I contacted them about it.

This was one of a number of visits to this restaurant, when we are in the area. The menu is very wide ranging catering for all tastes and dietary requirements can be easily accommodated. The food is excellent with generous sized portions, and the service is very good. We felt that the costs were a little expensive but this would not put us off making further visits.

We had a lovely meal for my Birthday, Arjun provided us with excellent and friendly service. We are always enjoy coming here for food.

Thoroughly recommend the food at Gurkha Village! I had a great chicken and lamb curry, and the chicken momos shouldn't be missed! The service was attentive and quick.

Food was lovely. Just make sure to book a table in advance to use a tastecard. We were not allowed to use ours as a walk in.

Ten of us went to the restaurant for New Year's Eve Celebrations. What a fantastic evening we had with live entertainment and as always superb food. Thank you to all the staff for making it such an enjoyable and memorable event.

No refund for giving meat dishes to vegetarians. I complained and received no response. Very disappointing

This is for staff behaviour,the person took bookings but didn't allow you when you go to the restaurant even if you reach on time or you have already booked table. He only decides whom he would allow to sit. I want to draw attention to the management if they are interested.

Don’t bother. I ordered a vegetable biryani. I’m a vegetarian When I arrived home it was a meat dish. Accidents happen, but when I escalated to just eat I received a response to say they would apply a refund as it ‘goes against policy’. Apparently if you’re collecting you need to check every dish before you leave to ensure there’s no meat in there. I’ve never left a review before but was shocked that just eat (and Gurkha village) were willing to risk future business for an 11 quid refund. Crazy!

Nice pub with table tennis , board games and lots of unusual antiques all around. Drinks are a fair price but they need a good draught ale on tap.

A beautifully cooked Gurkha Special Mixed Mash Karahi curry with the best keema Naan I have ever eaten. The meat and fish were perfectly cooked. The spices come by through the curry.

Delivery early foods still hot and test delicious perfect price I am well recommended.

Food not bad, but we ordered a take away and it took 2 hours We had to phone up after an hour and a half and then they promised 20 minutes 30 minutes later it turned up with barely an appology

Terrible I used to order very often delivery time was never great but doable, today I had to wait 2 hours. My sister called in and the man who picked up the phone said someone was on the way then she asked can we pick it up as were local he then said that it was still in the oven therefore he lied about someone being on the way. She asked if we would get a discount or something in return he said thank you bye and hung up in her face. Never again will I order here and I’ll make sure those around me know.

Gurkha Village is a very welcoming restaurant with friendly and attentive staff, an attractive and comfortable place with excellent Nepalese food. We particularly enjoyed the lamb curry and the garlic naan were delicious. We arrived soon after opening time so the atmosphere hadn't really had time to build, but there was a steady stream of customers arriving and it was clear many were regulars. A very enjoyable meal!

Food was tasty but thought the portions were small. I had the Gurkha curry and had 7 small pieces of lamb? A little disappointed.

Jalfrazi was unreal but not impressed with the lamp chop starter, two of the skinniest lamb chops seen for £8 that's just shocking

Very disappointing takeaway tonight. Choik tka marsala runny, very little meat. Chk tka madras also runny, meat sparse and at least vindaloo hot. As an avid curry eater I was surely disappointed. Shame, previous experience excellent but it's been a while and standard of food tonight poor.

Have visited this restaurant previously and this occasion was a family lunch. The menu has a wide range and is reasonably priced. Dietary requirements can be easily accommodated. Drinks were served quickly, although the ordering and serving of meals took a little time - perhaps because the meals were freshly prepared. When served the food quality and portion size was excellent. A very enjoyable occasion.

Always perfect! We are so lucky to have this gem in our village. My partner and I go regularly, as do my parents, grandparents and all the family! They're always professional and welcoming, the food is always top notch - it's a lovely and warm place to spend an evening.

We went here on Sunday 27th for an evening meal, and it was by far one of the best Nepalese meals we have had in a long time. All the meat was lovely and tender and the flavours were outstanding. We live a long way away, but next time we are in the Oxford/ Kidlington area this will be a must!

First time visiting the restaurant and have to say.. could not fault the experience,VERY friendly,courteous and attentive staff, but not overly clingy,nice courtyard area which we sat and drunk our drinks before making our way to our table,which was perfectly presented,we were there for an anniversary and our host had even made note of our names and the occasion,as he made reference to it as we were seated,great customer service.On to the meal, could not be faulted,a few poppadoms with various sauces and chutneys to wet our appetites,then onto our starters which comprised of Dahl soup and chicken momo's all of which were lovely,and again, perfectly presented,then onto our mains,mixed noodles with chicken and prawns and gurkha special,which was chicken and lamb pieces with tomatoes,capsicum and coriander, basically a beautiful curry of medium spice,one word. . gorgeous,we personally couldn't find fault with any of the food,and we will be returning to sample some more of the extensive menu. Highly recommended.

If you are passing or are staying within 20 miles ... add this to your list as the food is superb and the staff really friendly. The selection of Nepalese dishes is extensive and the staff will guide you (if you need it) to find a great selection of tempting dishes to make your evening a success. The restaurant can get busy and (as the staff give you good service throughout), you may have to wait a little between courses ... but it really is worth it !

Was ok. Didn’t seem very Gurka at all. Seemed more Indian. I ordered a traditional Gurka curry and nothing like I expected. Traditional would be served on the bone. I won’t be going again in in the area.

A real good welcome and chat before I sat down and feasted on delicious food. I asked for typical Nepali dishes. I got just that . The staff are polite and friendly. Nothing us too much. Wonderful experience with the real Nepali touch.🙏🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

Went there for dinner and the service was quick. Pradeep and his colleagues were very nice and welcoming. The food was great and the portions are generous. I recommend the momos and the biryani.

An absolute jem,never had a bad meal here, and the staff are amazing. Can highly recommend a visit to those who have never been.

Estimated time for delivery was much longer than this restaurant would usually take especially during the week. Delivery time was extended making it even longer. When I called they didn't have an excuse, but did apologise.

This place is a real gem. Have lived in the Oxford area for almost 20 years and havent come across it before. They deserve to be noticed. I had nan bread, lentil soup and a meat samosa. All piping hot and extremely tasty. The pastry...

We stopped in here whilst working locally in the area and the food was exquisite. We arrived late as so we were the only diners but that meant the service was attentive and personal. Highly recommended. If you like a curry then you will love this place

Obviously very popular, arrived at 1730 and people were already waiting. Food is very tasty a little pricey for some dishes which was a surprise, namely a Dahl side was nearly £7, but I suppose that's inflation for you. I'd definitely eat here again though.

Amazing food, great service and excellent value. Really great authentic restaurant. My wife spent 10 week in Nepal and said this was the best Nepalese food she has had outside of Nepal.

I come in with all my football friends on Wednesday evening. Consistently get great pints and great service. Would definitely recommend lovely place

Not the best experience ordering this time. Order arrived missing 2 items the rice and the starter. Called the restaurant up and they did send someone back out with the missing items but it was a 20min wait. During this wait I noticed instead of the tandoori mixed grill I had ordered they had delivered tandoori chicken instead which was rather disappointing and no salad to go with it. I called the restaurant back but the driver had left and they did not want to send someone out again. When the driver arrived the order was still not quite right with incorrect rice. A final note as the order was over £50 I had sort of expected a free potato curry or poppadoms or something but none not even after the order was messed up, delayed and delivered incorrectly.

Last time we were here was 21st June 2019 according to Google memories. A bar on one side and a wonderful Nepalese restaurant on the other. Food superb again and Sushma who looked after us was amazing. Great quality, great service.

I have ordered take away from Gurkha Village a few times, using Just Eat. While the food is ok (at the best), the quantities are very little for the price they charge. Got extremely little portions for the mixed grill platter and often they give only 4 pieces of momos and charge £5.75 for it . Not worth it. Go somewhere else as most other other places are simply far better than this - both in terms of quality and quantity of food.

This is a great little place with a wide choice of good food. Our meal was terrific, service was quick, and the surroundings were very pleasant.

Food was early and when it got here it was lovely will def go again.

This is a fabulous place for a takeaway or a stylish evening out. The food is out of this world - classic Indian cuisine but with amazing chefs specials. Just had another brilliant takeaway but have had many delicious meals in as well. Can’t recommend...

Absolutely superb food, and lovely service too Thank you. It was always one of our favourite restaurants, but we hadn't been for a while, and it was better than ever.

The food was just wonderfully made to perfection. The staff were so polite and friendly as well. Best place to have Indian/Nepali cuisine with friends and family in Oxfordshire. Easily accessible by bus from Oxford and just on the main road. The owner was very cordial and humble which was an extra plus. Would love to visit again.

I only had time to pass by to use toilet with my nephew...the smells were incredible as we're the friendly nature of the staff

I used to be local but still end up going back occasionally. I love the food. The service has never been super fast but you won't regret it. They also do the best cheese naan.

My son ordered a order via Deliveroo and only got the rice when he rang and said the order was rang he got laughed at was told they don't use Deliveroo absolutely b.s, We took him to explain the issue they gave him a curry and it was so watered down like a frozen meal 😡
