Lots of tanginess, mustard oil smell all over food, be it chicken or goat curry. Never had such an awful taste and experience ever. Total waste of money. Highly NOT recommend!!

The service was great. We went there in the evening. The momo was good. Chicken 65 was amazing 10/10 for that. Mutton curry was a bit undercooked, very chewy. I recommend this place for sure 👌🏻

This place has been my favorite out of all the Indian food places I’ve tried before, the chicken tikka is delicious and it already comes with rice when you order it unlike other places that you have to pay for the rice also the garlic naan is amazing and the size is perfect for someone that loves bread as much as I do, people that work there are always welcoming and the food comes out fast and the quality of the food has always been great! Definitely recommend

Great and wallet friendly Indian restaurant

Food poor, I felt quite ill during the night following the meal. Gave the restaurant a second chance after my wife was ill after eating there a few weeks ago. A friend noticed that all our curries had the same visual appearance.

I had a lot of food, that tasted really good. The atmosphere was really cool and they had good service.

I took a lunch special. Great service and excellent food. I love the garlic nan and chicken curry medium spicy!!! All that with a chai tea I paid $20 😀

The food was amazing - visited several times now and never a bad choice of dish. The tastebuds were singing. The restaurant is nicely decorated and staff attentive and amenable. The only downside is if you bring a car the car park is very limited.

Definitely our favorite Indian restaurant. We all had great food ever single time we come over take home. My favorite is the Lamb Sagwala (probably misspelled sorry) it's Awesome. And is a dish I don't find in other insurance restaurants much or they miss the mark in the Curry by a mile, so I end up ordering it 90% of the time.

Exceeded my expectation in every possible way with food and service. Would love to see this place updated. Kind of bland looking place.

I had a lunch special, which was worth every penny. Curry dishes had depths of flavor. Oh, also the rice pudding looking dessert was awesome. Some people make it just sweet but this one had a nice balance of savory, sweet and cinnamony-! I will definitely go back soon. Update: I came back again and had Lamb and Paneer. It was good. Whoever you are in the kitchen, you are awesome~! I visited again: Still fabulous food. I had lunch special, dumplings and garlic naan. I think it is one of the best foods per what you pay. Keep up the good work~!!

I had the butter chicken. This is some of the worst indian food I've ever tasted, it's bad enough to ruin a good day. The chicken tasted okay but the curry did not taste like butter chicken. Not authentic.

Couldn’t recommend enough! Lovely authentic Nepalese food. We ate in the restaurant but we are also regulars for takeaway. The food is always of brilliant quality and lovely warm welcoming service. Delicious range of starters, mains, and sides - highly recommend

Very disappointed with the food. Ordered a chicken biriyani and chicken chowmein, both were below average. No wonder why the place is very slow. Sorry truth be told.

Great food. Great service and a calm, clean atmosphere make this a great place to eat. Also, it's priced incredibly for this area. The Naan was fresh and both of the different types of chicken meals that we ordered were amazing. This is a place we will definitely come to again.

First time visiting as here on holiday and wow we had some of the best curry we’ve ever had. The service was friendly and welcoming, the menu is not huge but more than enough choice. We received our food quickly and it was absolutely amazing, could not fault it in any way and to top it off the price was very reasonable too. If we ever come back to this part of the country we will definitely be going back !

Third time here and it just gets better each time!! They have increased their tables and seating now as more people are discovering this little gem in Witney!! The food is consistently excellent, as is the service. We were here for a birthday this time and the staff went out of their way to make it an extra special occasion. The whole evening and experiences was perfect.

We skipped starters and opted for lamb raja rani and butter chicken for mains. Unfortunately we were told no butter chicken so korma instead. The menu is fairly limited but some good options (if they have them). We also had pilau rice, and garlic naan. Pretty average as we're the main courses. Standard quality but nothing special. Staff however were wonderful, very polite and friendly and the ambience really good and nice decor. Quality does need too improve though

We ate early on a Sunday and the restaurant was quiet. The waiter was polite and attentive. We ordered butterfly prawns, Takka dahl, garlic naan, pilau rice and a chicken vindaloo. Warm plates on the table and the food were all good. I would recommend.

I saw this restaurant as I was staying at the hotel and I hadn't been to Nepalese restaurant outside of Nepal so I was quite excited at the prospect of authentic Daal Bhat or other curious culneries. Unfortunately all of the food was Indian, most had prefixes of "Nepalese style" but quite frankly there was no difference. The good thing was that the food was actually quite tasty and certainly flavoursome, spiced well and the quality was very good. Unfortunately, the setting left alot to be desired. The restaurant part could have done with a lick of paint and lacked ambience. The bar was very old fashioned and shabby looking, couches and settees surrounding coffee tables seemed to be the theme and it was difficult to relax in these surroundings. Toilets were dirty, no toilet paper in the toilet, which is pretty essential in a curry house and the bar ran out of draught lager on a Tuesday waiting for a delivery on the Friday. For some reason they didn't like you to run a tab for drinks unless you were seated in the restaurant which i found kind of amateurish

We have driven past the restaurant regularly since the signs first went up. We decided to call in without booking, the other evening, The staff made us feel very welcome from the moment we stepped inside. There was a great range of food on the menu and we thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful of every dish. The accompanying wine was well priced and went down only too well! This is a restaurant we will definitely be revisiting.

Lovely place in Witney, not enough people know about it. Food was absolutely delicious, lots of different dishes were eaten. All great and a lovely ambience all round. Super friendly chef who couldn’t do enough. Highly recommend.

Made a last minute decision to eat here after a quick google search of ‘Indian Witney’ as it’s so close to home. Rang and asked if they have gluten free and vegetarian options available as well as a high chair, and it was a yes to all. Although it’s not Indian, Nepalese food is quite similar and if I was to compare with all the Indian restaurants/takeaways in Witney, this is without doubt #1! As we’d never been here before we tried a few different dishes and each one was excellent in its own right. Full of flavour, great textures, nothing over cooked and not not too hot but you can choose whether to have the dish mild, medium or hot. The restaurant itself was very quiet, you enter through the rear of the building from the car park and we were the only table, almost questioning whether they were in fact open? We were greeted and seated and a few moments later another couple arrived. Drinks were served to us and it wasn’t long at all before the food arrived. We couldn’t manage it all but were offered to take the rest away - which we did! It could be the old sign on the front of the building that still reads ‘Gurkha and Nepalese restaurant opening soon’ for the reason they were quiet, or could be that we went out early and actually later on in the evening they get busier, or could even be that they are busy with takeaway orders and just not too many people eating it. But, this will now be a firm favourite of ours to dine at and I hope more people follow suit!

Amazing food, but the staff was pretty over it. The waitresses were pretty unattentive. Despite this, the food was just flat out delicious.

I placed the order over the phone and was given a 20 to 25 minute estimate. I arrived in 35 minutes. The food was still not ready. I went next door to Kroger's did some light shopping came back 10 minutes later. Food was still not ready and was told just a few more minutes. Unacceptable they this is consistently the practice at this location. They over promise and under deliver The food tastes great. The service leaves much to be desired. I'm done after many of months of ordering here at least once every other month. I'm tired of this wasting my time and being told an estimate that never comes true

Food was amazing!! Carefully prepared and presented. Service was excellent. Nisha was very attentive and friendly. The staff is the best! Will definitely return to try more items from the very extensive menu. Another visit and Gurkha Bar and Grill did not disappoint! Delicious food, both vegetarian and non-veg and stellar service!!

Easily the best Indian food in DFW

I usually go Gurkha Bar and Grill for my any need of catering, regular dine in or any events. I organized my 2nd anniversary of my Paralegal Services of Tarrant County. It was really awesome experienced. Dedicated staff provide us really amazing service. The food was really great. I love the chicken chilly with Chowmein. The Program Hall is also great with the good professional setting. I highly recommend this place for any private or public event as long as your regular dine in or carry out. Thank you for the entire team.

My first time in Dallas I asked me fried to take to me get some good Indian food. I was a little surprised when I arrived to the location in the gs strip mall. Everyone in the restaurant was extremely helpful, and happy to help. The food was excellent. We had about 6 different items on the menu. All was fire!!!

Ordered a lot of food from this restaurant. Gave us a old stinky momo sauce. Didn’t even said sorry. I am not a free person to just pick up and drop off the food. Please this is ridiculous. Health and safety department should visit this place for sure.

This place is one of family favorites. We have really loved everything we’ve tried but the Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala are our favorites. The Naan is so delicious and highly recommend the vegetable Samosas. The staff is so kind and helpful with suggestions. We usually get take out and they are very good with being punctual.

This place is a regular go-to for us. The staff is very friendly and the food is fantastic. I highly recommend the place for food and drinks. UPDATE! K. So I'm moving away from Texas tommorow, and just want to say how much I have enjoyed this restaurant over the last two years. Just a great group of peeps and fantastic food. i order for take out usually. I love their boneless chicken biryani. its the best. The only thing I don't like is you get 1 raita in very tiny container. They should give atleast 2 raitas. I bought over $60 worth of food. Hopefully they will fix that. I have been buying from them for over a year now.

Dec. 2021 We ordered to-go... Tandoori Chicken, Chicken MOMO (dumplings), Gurkha Ambrosial Goat Curry, and Garlic Naan. We loved the goat curry and tandoori chicken. The garlic naan was fantastic! 2019 We ordered the chicken MOMO, Ambrosial Goat Curry, Shrimp Korma, Mango Lassi, and some naan. The flavor on all the dishes were excellent. All the staff provided fast and friendly service. The chef even came out to greet us and ask about the food. I only gave it 4 stars because I thought the korma was a bit light on shrimp. I believe I would have had more meat if I had ordered the chicken or lamb. Still tasted great and we took the extra korma sauce home. They also have extra space for banquets and special events.

I had never had such worst goat Sekuwa paratha and chicken chowmein ever in my entire life. We were so eager to try our orders from them but ended up starving ourselves because of such unexpected food. I was trapped by google review, Let me tell you all if you know the real taste of any authentic Nepali food, you will be immensely disappointed😕

Definitely tasty, but you have to be careful with the oil they use. I think they use high fat butter or something like that. Some health officials should investigate the type of oil they use.

Worst fried rice I've had in a long time , completley lacking in flavor or taste . Tasting like plain rice with random vegetables added in it with pieces of chicken . I would recommend Chihiro Sushi for better fried rice to be honest .

Had a long lunch there w/daughter. Website advertises as Napalese and Indian, "Nepali food is a typical mix of Indian, Tibetan and Thai origins." Was not busy Friday about 2pm and we enjoyed delicious food with beer and wine. Host was polite & helpful & attentive. When ordering he explained the levels of spicey hotness of the food. Place was not busy but was clean & food hot & tasty. Were there last year (we don't get out much) and was the same. I love this place & highly recommend. Shame lovely spouse does not appreciate...

Portions are great here. The naan bread was well seasoned and the right texture, the rice was great, and the chicken tikka masala was good even after being reheated (I had a long drive home). I’m not a big fan of the momos, they needed some sauce or something but they weren’t bad just nothing to call home about. Pretty quick takeout service too.

My wife and I go hear all the time. We have been to several other Nepali & Indian restaurants in the area and this is the best. All of the food we have tried has been excellent. Our favorites are Chicken 65, the MOMO, Chicken Tikka Masala/Korma, Goat Curry, and the Mutter Paneer. Also the tea and naan bread are always good. The lunch buffet has excellent portions and great value if you can catch it. The staff is gracious and polite, and the few cases where there have been issues with the food were addressed immediately, with the owner going above and beyond to make things right. Never had any issues with service. This is probably our favorite local restaurant in Euless and we will continue going here because it's a place where we can relax and feel at home while dining.

Good food at this family run restaurant and bar. Friendly service. The Chicken Chilli was as good as back home. Decent momo's, the Gurkha Lamb curry was decent as well. Garlic Naan was perfect. Kendal was amazing from behind the bar and made some pretty decent recommendations on the drinks. A must try.

Momos are very good. Both veg and chicken However on North Indian Punjabi dishes there is room for improvement.

Delicious food! Have tried the chicken biryani, butter chicken, chicken tikka, lamb saag, korma....all wonderful! Must try the lamb chops also! I'd show the picture of the rice pudding, but I ate it all.

Great place for some Indian and Nepali dining experience! I was really impressed with the customer service. The food tasted really authentic and reminded me of the food back home. The Chicken 65 is a must and the curries were full of flavors! I’ll definitely be back if I’m in Dallas.

Great establishment. Awesome music, three big TVs to select different channels for, full bar, fresh made Foreign food. Staff is amazing fast service as well. I will be going here again and if you have read this and you should at least go there once.

I never dined in here but visited for take out order. The restaurant itself looks good and reasonably clean. The quantity was reasonable. The quality of the food quite is decent. The taste of the food from this restaurant is typical for restaurants if Indian subcontinent in the DFW area. I will go back if I am in the area and in the mood for some Indian food.

This is by far my favorite place to eat. The food is absolutely amazing and the service is even better. You just know the food is made with love. This place just makes me happy. I can hardly wait for my next visit and I barley finished my plate.

Rediculously delicious. I am writing this from what I believe to be a full on food coma. I can't even move from the amount of amazing things I just ate. The korma was superb. The rice was perfection. The garlic Naan was outstanding.. Coupled with the best vegetable samosas and gulab jamun I've ever had. 10 stars. Will return a thousand times, again. I can't wait to eat the rest of my left overs!

Very clean, sprucey Indian/Nepali food. I am addicted to their chicken tikka masala. Also great momos and naan. Been coming here since they opened up. Friendly, caring owners. Everyone I refer to the Gurkha gets hooked!

After a year of hiatus I wanted to give this place a try again but it continues to disappoint me. The only meal that tastes any good is the momos, (only reason it’s not getting one star) EVERYTHING else lacks flavor. This place is 5 mins down the road but I’d rather drive past it & another 15 to irving and pick ANY restaurant off beltline. I just wanted some home cooked meal but after an $80 bill for 2 entrees and a couple of appetizers I was still hungry with leftovers.

Wife and I Eat there for the first time and the place was clean and food was outstanding. We'll be going back soon eat more of their delicious food 😋😊.
