GUILIN STREET FOOD(桂林粉坊） in Leicester

If you eat here you will be transported to China! What an absolute gem of a place, this is real authentic Chinese street food! Absolutely delicious! I had the chef special and I especially enjoyed the crispy pork. I can't wait to try everything else on the menu!

In the past two years, my wife and I have been here almost every week and have spent easily over £1500. The food here has never once let us down. I can honestly say the consistency of this little stall is the best you’ll ever find in the UK. My favourite is the chef’s special!

Advice from someone who has stayed in Guilin for four years: Eat with confidence! Eat a lot! I dreamed back to Guilin in one second, it was so authentic.

Slow service. I had to tell Chinese students to stop smoking in the covered area. They were angry with this. I said it is illegal in the UK. The following day I had the worst sickness I have ever had.

Fantastic noodles. I cannot vouch for the authenticity but the clientele are all from an oriental background. Good portion size and very yummy. Be aware that the eating area is covered but not heated so bring a jacket and gloves. I think eating in a tent adds to the experience!

Proper street geniune street food for Chinese noodle soup. Had a limited list of about 10 dishes, so chose a hearty beef brisket noodle soup for £8. Came out 10 minutes later and had a few condiments to add - black vinegar and homemade chilli sauce. Just a splodge of each, but the chilli was rather hot! (So beware if you can't handle spiciness that well!) The noodles were softer than I would have liked, but the broth and beef was really tasty. I shall highly recommend this especially when it's so cold this winter. The outdoor seating was plentiful and it was undercover as well. Value for money as other eateries of similar nature were at least £10. Thanks to the chef/owner for being nice and friendly.

What a short neck! It hurts so much that I can't even lift my hands! After scraping, cupping and meridian massage! Heal instantly! The most important thing is that it doesn’t hurt! just!

A one-of-a-kind gem. Either type of rice noodle is delicious, but if you're trying it for the first time, recommend the classic one. Small portions are just £8.50. And the fried chicken thighs is £3.50 and there is no denying its flavour.

Noodles are great and authentic. Outdoor seating is great on warmer days. Can get really busy as they do get a lot of takeaway/delivery. £8.50-£10 per bowl. Nice street food experience. Self service.

This is hands down the best most pure clean natural straight from the hands of god that you can get! I literally come every other day since I found out about this place!!! You must try it. This man deserves a Michelin star or two for sure!!! Someone give him a restaurant space!!!!

Best noodles place in Leicester! The owner is really humble and treats every bowl of noodles seriously. It gets really busy in lunch hour so be prepared to wait for quite some time but I can guarantee you it worths.

Absolutely tasty....we are coming every week from Loughborough just to eat here.

Me and my boyfriend visited here for the first time today and will definitely be coming back. The food was fresh and hot and delicious. The man serving us was very helpful and friendly and informed us of the authentic way to eat the dish we ordered. Eat half, then come back to add the soup. Each dish was £8.50, would definitely recommend!

住係Leicester附近如果你想食米線只要搵就會搵度黎間舖頭 一般米線舖都只會主打一種湯底 但佢提供既湯底非常多 而且仲要係都好食! 第一次黎建議試下最多人叫既二食卤粉 本身佢無湯 食落好似拌面既感覺 由於調得夠味 味道唔錯! 記得留返少少餸喎 因為食到一半你可以叫佢幫你加湯 然後就到湯面既食味 湯底濃厚 同譚仔好唔同~值得一試! 唔夠辣仲可以自己加辣! 小食建議食口水雞, 讚! 仲有炸豬扒 都係非常有水準~ 估唔到係英國都食度咁特別既米粉 其他酸辣同老友粉都係不錯選擇! 有機會建議試晒佢~ PS: 由於佢係座位係戶外 又唔多個位 建議落雨就唔好黎啦 免得要避雨等位之餘 仲要同其他人迫埋一舊

Excellent fresh food. Great price (£8.50 regular dish, £10 large). Cash only. Sometimes we have to wait for a table but it's absolutely worth it. Seats are outdoors under a gazebo so not sure how it's going to work in winter. Great authentic experience.

Loved the noodles, even in the winter the soup will still boiling hot, the down side is sitting outdoors, but it worth it.

Hidden gem in the Leicester market. Service is a little bit slow as this is a single person shop but the food is out of this world.

Very authentic rice noodles from Guilin, Guangxi province of China. Friendly owner. Minor thing is the a-bit-long waiting time as there is usually only the boss himself cooking and serving. So u can order first and shop for a few minutes in the neighbor Leicester market lol.

Just had lunch there day and have to say it well worth a try. Had their 'special' rice noodle dish and it was fab.

Just had lunch here today. Location is a bit difficult to find given it was hidden behind the green tent but definitely worth all the effort :) The food was great, I had the Spicy Beef Ho Fun, with egg and beef meatball. Large portion, super tasty. The boss is nice and his family is also lovely. I think the 1 star comments below are not genuine. Ignore them.

As the only Guilin noodle bar in the West Midlands it's as close to authentic Guilin noodles as you'll get. Slightly thicker cut pork would be nice.

If you are a big fan of rice noodles/pho/noodles, you will love this place. The boss perfectly restored this authentic Chinese food. By the way, there are many delicious snacks you can add, such as fried spiced chicken wings, soy milk with dough bar, spiced eggs, etc. Sometimes there are limited snacks, such as the Xiaolongbao in the picture.

I visited here today after being recommended by my brother. I had pickled vegetables with beef rice noodles and soy sauce egg. Honestly was authentic and best tasting since I lived in China a few years back. The kind man caters to adding spice to your taste and was very friendly. Thank you and I will see you soon. (I forgot to take a picture of my dish so here is one taken the other day by my brother).
