GUEST DINING in Kirklees

We held a party here for my mother's 90th birthday. The event had to be postponed from January to June and there were inevitably a lot of changes between the original date and the actual event. T he staff could not have been more helpful during the whole rather prolonged process and I cannot praise them enough for their service and their cheerful and helpful attitude throughout. Just as importantly the food was absolutely excellent and the atmosphere on the day was just right for the event, We have had nothing but compliments from our guests who spanned a large age range and I am very happy to pass on our thanks. We must now start planning for my mum's 100th!

With the help of Amanda and Jo we held our celebration gathering for our Golden Wedding here. It wasn’t just the food, it was the ambience but most of all it was the staff. From the planning to the actual day everything was so smoothly organised. We got exactly what we wanted an informal gathering of friends and family. The children were made welcome, the less able were considered and yes the food was fantastic. So thank you for a lovely afternoon. Christine and Richard

We attended a golden wedding afternoon tea celebration here , and had a wonderful time. There was ample parking and there was a garden for the children to play in, which was in full view of the function room. The food was excellent. We had lovely canapés on arrival, with Prosecco and fruit juice. The afternoon tea was splendid - lovely range of freshly made finger sandwiches, fruit scones with butter, jam and cream, and a huge range of lovely small cakes and macarons etc. So much choice, and everything was yummy. It really couldn't have been better.

OMG What can i say the food on this night was amazing, the atmosphere was incredible, and the Dj what can i say it was like we had just come off the slopes! We all had ski wear on and even managed a snow ball fight :-) or two mini Cheese choux balls mixed meat antipasti. French Onion Soup with a large Gruyere crouton. Beef Bouillion with Tarteflet and Hot vegetables. And chocolate Mousse. It was pre booked fixed menu well worth checking out the other theme nights ( Please do a MEXICAN ) Absolutely incredible evening would love to get dressed uo

We have been for a Thai Tapas night this evening and it was superb. Gorgeous flavours! We live locally and have been regular customers for over 3 years at different theme nights. We always have a great dining experience, whether it's on an evening or for sandwiches and coffee. We always look out for our next event. It is a lovely venue, not too big and the staff are friendly and attentive. We also had our wedding reception here, it will always be a special place to us!

Lovely place to sit out in the sun. Polite and helpful staff but very disappointed with the selection of cakes and lack of choice. Bacon sandwich was very basic and the white sliced bread nothing out of the ordinary. A nice scone would have gone down a treat. You really need to up your game if you want to stand out! Please rethink your menu as the coffee was good!!!!

Delicious food, attentive and polite staff and an all round wonderful dining experience. We felt extremely safe in the restaurant and all Covid standards were met.

Called in for lunch again yesterday. Really nicely presented restaurant, all very Covid compliant. Food and service excellent. Lovely place to dine.
