Best chippy ever ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐'s isn't enough.....we drive past other fish shops to get theirs, it's only tiny but I would recommend them to anyone ☺️.

stale chips, cooked and then reheated absolutely disgusting ate a few then threw them straight in the bin where they belong. Glad i didn't bother waiting for the fish- 0 stars

Absolutely by far the best fish shop around. good staff busy full shop was still only waiting 6 minutes got a large fish buttie you couldnt close the box can not recommend enough 😉

Had some delicious fish & chips from here last week: the fish was succulent, the batter thin & crispy & the chips were exactly as I like them: crispy not pale & soggy. My partner watched the guy cook everything, expertly, from scratch. If he does the cooking, we'll definitely be back.

My fish was dry and over cooked i thought the batter wasn't to my liking and seemed under cooked in all it was pretty tasteless. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and a credit to the shop. I just disliked the food.

You really .Just try the chicken tikka and chips, it's better than anywhere else local!

Ate haddock and chips last night. Fish cooked fresh and lovely big chips. Portion size is generous and easily justified £8.40 price - We had two portions between three people. Have been in twice recently and staff are very friendly. Highly recommended.

Always cook your fish to order I found and there battery is so good

A very unpleasant visit to the Grove Fisheries today. We only ordered 2 large and 2 small bags of chips, waited around 15 minutes before we asked the lady behind the till how long this would be for her to say she was busy completing a just eat order for 19 bags of chips first.. When she finally did our order she said ‘here, your portions are quite small it’s all I have but I’ve thrown in a bread cake for you’ Not exactly what I ordered.. we received the dregs of the fryer by the looks of these when we got home.

Lovely old style fish and chips in a shop that probably hasn’t changed in years. It’s nice to find little gems like this. I would recommend the shop to anyone passing….

Awful food. No customer service and is like a pre school when it gets busy. Beat off going up the road to Denby Dale for better food and an organised service. I went in a week before this review and got recorded in the same frame as fish being fried for what I can assume is for the owners social media and there was no consent and he tried to hide that he was filming his customers and the reason for not asking is probably because he doesn't really know English.

Staff were super friendly. I turned up 10 mins from closing when they were getting ready to shut up for the night but they sorted my order and we're very chatty.

I'm not the biggest fish and chip fan these days. But thoroughly enjoyed these. Good sized fish, not greasy. Good portion of chips. Friendly polite service.

Absolutely scrumptious and great price too After another long hard day I decided to call for a chippy tea I ordered a lite bite tea which consisted of fish, chips and peas I paid extra for curry sauce. There was lots to chose from on the lite bite menu Imagine my delight when I saw the ‘small fish’ was actually 12 inches in length There was plenty to eat I couldn’t finish it all and at £5.50 what a bargain

Decent chippy. The Chips I consumed were decent, a little burnt, but still nice. The value was excellent. The service was also excellent. The gravy was pretty good too!

Nice chippie. Shame that they are cooked in oil instead of the tastier and traditional beef dripping, I would use them far more often if they were.

Very reliable and consistent. Chips are fried in vegetable oil, good for haters of the "Yorkshire Beef Dripping Obsession"
