Nice and airy. Food was ok. Comfy seating and freindly staff.

Amazing! I have been a regular at the whitechapel branch for about 3 years now, this branch is closer to me. Lovely atmosphere, kind staff especially our server Zara who was super friendly! Will definitely be coming back more often to this branch.

Wonderful lunch, delicious salads, a lovely freshly pressed apple juice followed by a perfect cortardo coffee, with excellent service from our server Fede, thoroughly recommend!!

Cute and modern coffee shop with good coffee and delicious brunch. The space is bright and airy, they’re playing good music and the interior of the cafe is rustic and fun. Laptops are not allowed between 11am-3pm but apart from that I wouldnt hae ve anything to reproach.

first day visiting london & came here with family. we had very good experience with waitress Zara. we ordered 3 burgers and shared the chocolate fondant for dessert. highly recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting. thank you Zara😁

I came here this evening with my partner and we had the most loveliest vibe. The food was 10/10- I ordered the Cajun chicken burger with sweet potatoes fries. My husband ordered a chicken avocado salad. The service was of high standard- I was served by a lovely girl called Zara, she was attentive, charming and very friendly. Thanks Zara. We will definitely be coming back here again next weekend!!!

I had a fantastic brunch at Grounded in Bow with friends and couldn't be happier with our experience. The English breakfast, Shakshouka, and scrambled eggs were all absolutely delicious, and everything was served promptly. The staff were incredibly friendly and polite, making us feel right at home. The atmosphere was lovely, with a warm and inviting ambience that made our meal even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a great experience, and we can't wait to return!

Simply the best burger I have ever tasted, wonderful atmosphere and great service

We went tonight as a family of 7. Firstly we the salad we got was wrong and they had to take it back, when we did get our three salads one of them was still incorrect but we took it as we'd already been waiting quite a while. The salad was definitely not washed hence there was so much left over in all three plates, the chicken and avocado was decent. We ordered two burger and chips but our first burger had to be redone as they added appleslaw in the burger when we clearly requested it to be taken out. They also bought us an extra burger which we didn't order, but that wasn't charged for. We was told that would be taken off our bill which it was and that we'd be given complimentary desserts. The burger was taken off and a service charge for over £15 was added, we paid it even though the service was terrible. We then ordered two brownies which were meant to be complimentary but we were charged an extra £7.40. Quite bluntly this was shocking and I'd never be coming back here again and nor will I ever recommend this place to anyone.

I’ve been here twice, once when it first opened and today. I enjoyed it the first time but today was a shambles. Terrible service, we were one of two tables in the whole place and our order was messed up multiple times. We had to ask twice for forks because the two waitresses were standing and talking instead of bringing us the extra cutlery and my salad hadn’t even been washed, just dumped from the sealed bag straight into my bowl. Paid over £100 for a horrible experience, I was looking forward to it but after the service I received today I would never come back.

We had burgers yesterday evening me and my friends, the burgers were cold and the bread on the bun was soggy there was more sauce than the burger and the lettuce and tomato had a funny taste like it was rotten

First time trying here as I saw it opened recently. It was a delicious brunch with amazing fresh smoothies. We got the açai 6 berries and green 6 pineapple - everything was 10/10

Terrible and disgusting food, really bad service. Dirty toilets, took forever. Burgers were overcooked, fries were oily. Avoid this place.

I got the omelette with the choice of free toppings on sourdough bread, that came with complimentary salad. The sourdough was perfectly malty, eggs well done and tomatoes roasted just like I wanted. The carrot juice was very fresh and not too sweet. The customer service was top notch and we got a table within 15 minutes. You'll spend on average £15-20 quid for a nice portion of food.

Came here with my cousin in the morning. I ordered the beef sausage breakfast. Whilst the food was cooked well, it was nothing too special and was presented nicely. I also ordered a mocha which was really good. Service was excellent as the mainly lady at the checkouts was warm and friendly, and the Arab waiter was courteous and friendly.

Strange place. No laptop policy between 11am and 3pm on weekdays. Seems very odd. Been twice. First time I had coffee and chicken wrap. Coffee was good as any indi place but the wrap wS terrible. Second opted for veggie breakfast which was good. Bit on the pricey side imo. But the deco and vibe was good.

Absolutely lovely and welcoming staff. I would definitely recommend. It was my first time coming here and I’ll definitely be back next time i’m down south. The staff reassured me that the menu was halal and that there is no alcohol in any of the food and premises. Food and drinks were 10/10, couldn’t ask for more. I wish I had the opportunity to leave a more positive review. I was really disappointed to be turned away because the policy is no laptops in the weekend. As a business owner in the same industry, I’d urge the owners to reconsider this approach. I arrived at 9am and the cafe was about 20% full. If the staff member just managed my expectations and said i may be moved on if it gets busy, I’d have been okay with that. But to have been profiled before I had the opportunity to even sit down was really poor. I’m sure if I brought in hundreds of pounds of custom, I wouldn’t have been turned away, which I guess is the ultimate reason behind this no laptop approach.

Can I please change the mushrooms on the veggie breakfast for vegan sausage No you can't swap veg for meat I don't eat meat Yeah but its a sausage No, it's a vegan sausage, so there's no meat You can't swap veg for meat There is no meat in a vegan sausage Yeah but it's a sausage I don't eat meat and there is no meat in a vegan sausage Yeah but it's still a sausage It's swapping veg for veg I need to check with my manager Yep - he's saying it's a sausage too I'll delete this as soon as you confirm you are making a change to your staff training

I came here today (Fri 28.06.2024) around 9pm with my wife, son and sister. I didnt know quite what to expect as it was my first time here. I was blown away by the wonderful environment and decor, this restaurant had a wonderful unique feeling, the food tasted fresh, wholesome and came with excellent presentation, was so comforted to know it is 100% Halal. We were served by *Zara* who appears to be the most pleasant and quite possibly the most wonderful waitress in London, she has the most exceptional smile and customer service and at 18 years old she seems incredibly confident, knowledgeable and mature, we knew we were in good hands. I would certainly come back here again and would highly recommend everyone to give it a try. Thank you Zara 😊

I recently visited the Grounded London Bow Branch and had a wonderful experience. Sara assisted with my order, taking the time to clearly explain the menu and offer recommendations. Her suggestion for which tea to try was spot-on and added to my enjoyment of the visit. Ellie was also fantastic, bringing a cheerful and helpful demeanor despite the high volume of customers—over 200 that day. She managed to engage in a pleasant conversation with me while efficiently serving everyone. Overall, the service at Grounded London Bow Branch is exceptional. Both Sara and Ellie made my visit memorable, and I highly recommend this location for anyone seeking great tea and excellent service.

This place is so disappointing. It’s a beautiful building with a great interior and the staff are really sweet but the food is dreadful. I’ve requested scrambled eggs or an omelette on three occasions hoping for something better each time. The scrambled eggs are absolutely appalling. I think the chef puts an egg mix in a pan, waits for it to cook and then cuts it up. It’s like cut up rubber on a thin slice of sourdough. The coffee is usually lukewarm. The burgers are a little better. It’s such a shame, as this could be such an amazing place to eat.

Absolutely delicious, each bite tasted better than the other. The mac n cheese was one of the best we have tasted.

Went here today to celebrate my birthday, i feel like they struggled to deal with a big group of people. I think it may have been different if it was a smaller group. Food was lovely but took quite a while to come out, i had finished my meal and still the salad i had asked for was not given so i gave up. All in all the staff were pleasant and accommodating, thank you for having us

This is a great brunch, coffee place to relax, catchup with friends, maybe read a book. Has large windows that make the place bright when it's sunny and has a very comfortable atmosphere. Food and coffee was also great. They give you a Jug of water without having to ask which is nice. Staff have been incredibly nice so far! It's right next to bow church DLR station. Highly recommended!

Although it’s been a while, I have been to the Whitechapel branch many times and love their full english breakfast. We decided to visit the Bow branch and I was disappointed with the breakfast. I found the sausage and turkey bacon to be soo dry and flavourless! Even the mushrooms were dry and not juicy as you would expect. I couldn’t finish it. I hope they change the sausages in future at least. Service and atmosphere great! Clean and friendly cafe

I went yesterday with my partner for dinner. The food was very nice but the service was poor .There’s only one gentleman work in the floor.there was a other 2 ladies continually talking behind the bar .one with hijab and white hair. They doesn’t care about the customer.their enjoying their time when other men working all alone and most of the table are full . We needs wait a long for asking something.. Management needs to take care such slow service.

After 25 min waiting for our food the waitress came and said in a rude way that the grill it’s not working and we gonna need to wait 20 min more or maybe more. They already serve our fries in a wrong table… we live close and we always want to come but after this poor service I’m sure we will never come back.

Excellent menu with a wife range of breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Plenty of healthy options with not so healthy options too 😉. Food was excellent and quick to arrive. I was really impressed with the service too - very attentive and friendly staff. Takeaway options available too.

I was incredibly dissatisfied with the service at this establishment today. First of all, after placing the order - which included food, two soft drinks and water - we had to ask two times to be given our drinks, after the food had already arrived. Not only that, but after asking we have been given the water in two glasses, whereas the other customers in the establishment were given the water in tall metal pitchers. When it comes to the food, the burger was absolutely horrible. The bread was stale, and everything inside the burger was falling out. The meat inside the burger was even worse- it was overcooked and smelled sour in some places while at the same time some parts were raw. The staff seemed also very preoccupied to have fun and dance behind the coffee counter with customers waiting to be seated. overall a really bad experience, will not recommend and definitely would not visit again

Great hidden gem! Discovered it by mistake while cruising Bow. Was looking for a speciality coffee place that wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg and here you go! Grounded team prepared a great coffee foamed to perfection, also I got a puffy spinach and cheese sandwich which was delicious and all of this was under £8. You can tell the team has a great relationship and they were very kind and helpful when I was indecisive to choose my sandwich. It looked very well taken care of and clean. Will come back for brunch.

Qt and Big café much bigger than expected. I love the layout really cosy. Good customer service kitchen is a view away seems to be quite clean and take hygiene into account. The food was good. I order one English breakfast and one gourmet burger and chips. I prefer the English breakfast. Really nice appearance and good quality. Regards to the gourmet Burger heavy on the bread, dry chips. Pricewise, I personally think it is quite overpriced, but I would come again for the atmosphere.

I ate at Grounded multiple times. I had the omelette for brekkie and the next day I had the salmon and poached eggs, the food was delicious and plentiful. I really enjoyed the carrot juice with ginger for kick. Would thoroughly recommend, the staff were friendly and atmosphere relaxed. Didn’t try the cakes but a really good selection to chose from.

The boss is particularly mean to his employees, working for three hours continuously without a break and being docked half an hour's pay, and as long as you went to work that day no matter how long you worked you were docked, regardless of whether you had a break or not. No overtime pay. No trial pay.

Had an upset stomach straight after dining. Mashed up the toilet 6 times already. Such a shame, staff were amazing (hence it’s a 2-star and not a 1). Won’t be coming back.

Came here with my friends for brunch. My friend had to wait 20 minutes to get a table. Every time I drive past it is always busy. Cleanliness not an issue and we had good service. Staff was very friendly and approachable. We got two turkey sausage breakfast, Pancakes and Salmon & poached eggs with avocado. Me personally, I enjoyed it. It was nice but it was missing a wow factor which is why I didn't give it a 5* rating. Also, the price we paid was quite a bit if you take this into consideration. Beef Sausage Breakfast was 15 qudi which is a lot for a basically full English. We also got ice latte with hazelnut syrup which was okay nothing amazing. Also - side note they forgot my beans but quickly rectified by giving me 2 pots of beans as a consolation. Will I come again? Yes definitely.
