GRILL on FIRE in North Warwickshire

Got lunch time special menu burger + chips..the chips where so over cooked they were basically crisps, hard with no potato left. Burger was burnt. The pizza was over cooked hard and lacked topping. Just because the lunch time special menu is at a lower price should not mean poor food being sent out.

Ordered a donner kebab it was small the meat was dry, the bread was good so was the salad but what really ruined it was the hot sauce it was store bought Lion brand I think, food went into the bin make fresh chilli sauce not store bought muck.

Donner kebab was horrible, I had to throw it away the kebab was dry and the hot sauce was nasty it didn't taste of anything it was just hot, I'm sure the sauce was from a supermarket and not make fresh..

Really good kebab, delivered slightly ahead of the stated time, so all good.

Good ingredients, well cooked and for a takeaway felt relatively healthy. Oh and good sized portions.

Had an incredible burger last night - the Hot Valley burger. It was epic. Kudos.

Just eat app said 50 minutes on the order, but 20 minutes on the collection time. I arrived after 20 minutes and it had been sitting. Food is great, they just need to sort out the app experience!

food arrived cold. chips not fresh and had to re-heat burger which was cold both were horrible. Bf ordered a Shawarma and it came with no naan and the tiniest bit of salad. won't be ordering again.

Recently moved to the area and had this several times now, delivery always quick. Food is fresh and tasty, not usual cheap greasy takeaway kebabs, more authentic. Chicken thighs are great and massive portion. Good burgers and pizza aswell.

Had a couple of deliveries when this place first opened, deliveries were within 20 minutes and the food excellent. The last two deliveries one was over an hour and the other 45 minutes the food had obviously been reheated or left to keep warm for some considerable time, everything was dry and the Garlic bread black and crispy in places on the outside! Sadly now like other takeaways in Glossop, won't be using again!

Well what can I say the best tasting kebab every time. And I drive in from Northenden to buy tasty, tasty, tasty 👌

If anyone likes turkish style grill, this is the place to go. I ordered mix Chicken Shish & Adana Minced Lamb Skewer for £11.50, Absolutely worth the money. Enjoyed the dish. Staff and drivers are always friendly. Well done to you guys 👍

My favourite takeaway in Glossop right now! Love the pizzas and lamb chops with naan. Chips were great too. Meat was cooked perfectly.

Definitely not as good as usual. Portions were smaller than usual

Ate from here a few times and never had any issues however on this occasion pizzas were freezing cold and the delivery driver was not only rude but didnt have enough change so effectively stole a pound from me. Not happy from this occasion and I wont be ordering again.

the food was fabulous red hot full of flaver and cooked to perfection the owner is a brilliant guy!

Did something change. The chicken and lamb weren’t chunks of meat anymore. The chicken was like shredded chicken thigh and the lamb was like soggy, not like meat and tasteless. Like a Birds Eye grill steak. Not the same as when we have ordered lots of times before

Meat quality not up to usual standard -almost tasteless - shaved well too thick, like Bacon, not thin like usual. Texture is very important. Not up to your usual standard. Not happy on this occasion.

Best food in glossop I should know I've ordered 70 times plus..give it a go just don't put any requests in the comments box because they just ignore them.

This place uses great quality meat and fresh ingredients. I'd have given this 5 stars, but the chilli sauce is the cheapest nasty bottled stuff which completely let's this place down. Make some nice home made chilli sauce and keep away from those pound shop bottles.

This place is amazing. You heard the say you pay for what you get. You do indeed. Love this food, excellent treat.

Order was wrong, what was delivered was stone cold, item missed off completely, would send missing item, no sign after half an hour, this was the first time and the last!!

Food arrived quickly but was incredibly salty. Two eating and both only managed a few mouthfuls and had to leave the food. Won’t order again.

Pizzas were average, the dough could be improved. Shish was very good.

Absolutely beautiful food, very tasty, by far its the best takeaway I've had in Glossop.

Tried the grill on fire special kebab and it was ok. I thought the portion size was small for £15.90 and I must admit that I was expecting more. There was not much doner meat and I think it’s fair to say i’ve had much better. The 3 pieces of lamb were cooked on the well-done side but lacked seasoning. The chicken was ‘chicken’ and again lacked seasoning and tbh were a bit bland. I would have liked some homemade hot (in the pan) chilli sauce but the sauces appear to be store bought. The star of the show was the “Adana’ which was delicious, well seasoned and full of flavour. Overall, expensive for what you get but it is serviceable. Unfortunately, it doesn’t stand out from the other standard takeaways. If I do order again, I’ll be just having the Adana kebab.

Not a nice donner kebab. No flavour except for salt. Guy serving was charmless. We can't recommended this place. Norfolk pizza beats it hands down.

Donner kebab was really oily. A large amount of solid fat in the bottom of the tray. Really salty with no flavour. Portion wasn't brilliant. Salad and chilli sauce were fine. Not much charm in the guy that served us. Far better kebabs in Glossop from nicer people. Won't be going back.

Absolutely lovely kebab! Pizza was slightly garlicky but it doesn't take away from the quality and care that has gone in to it. One of the best take aways I've had!

The best kebab not only in Glossop but in the UK. I felt like I was on holiday. Finally a proper kebab on flat bread (as it should be) and not those awful dry pitta breads you get everywhere else. Well done guys you have nailed it.

From the appearance of the place I expected much better than what I got: weird-tasting lamb on extremely plain and boring rice. I don't know if it was off or if their seasoning is bad. Some of the other stuff looked OK, but so did this, and it's expensive enough I won't be risking another nasty meal from them.

Lovely. The only thing that was lacking was salad but it was the nicest Chicken shawarma I have tasted in a long time .

Ordered the mixed Kebab but it was mostly Donner Kebab. Covered full of sauce.. so couldn’t even taste the meat. Go to Norfolk pizza for a good kebab.

My god!! I've lived around here since 2004. I've Waiting for a place like this far too long!! If anyone likes the curry mile grills? This is the place to go. Had the lamb chops, with £15.90 mix grill. Enjoyed the food that much I forgot to tidy my plate! 😋😋😋😋

BEST KEBAB IVE EVER HAD AND IVE HAD LOADS OVER THE YEARS!!!!!!

First time ordering from the Grill on Fire, so was looking forward to what they had to offer. Liked the menu lay out, plus the nod to local area in the naming of the items was a nice touch. As a last minute decision we ordered at 10.55, a 9" meat you later pizza and their signature Grill on Fire kebab. The order arrived at 11.15 with a smile and wrapped well to keep it hot and intact, the kebab box was a great idea. Both where excellent; nice soft naan, fresh crisp salad and tender meat all well presented.The pizza was fully loaded and definitely the best in Glossop. The only caveat was the salt levels, especially the pizza. Now I know each person will have a preference but for us both were over salty. That saying would definitely purchase again!

Food all cooked on charcoal no gas used it is a mouth watering experience highly recommend everything from here

We are on holiday for the week staying in a little remote cottage with our dogs so decided to have a takeaway or two whilst we are here as we can’t go out for a meal and leave the pups. We called Grill on Fire to check they would be able to find us after having issues with with a pizza delivery earlier in week and they were really helpful, we ordered a halloumi wrap, chicken shawarma and a portion of chips…everything was really good, my halloumi wrap was really great value for money and partners chicken shawarma was really good too…he could only manage half..the chips were super crispy. The delivery driver knocked on our door twenty five minutes after ordering…we were fully expecting to have him phone us and for us to walk out and go find him like we had to do earlier in the week but he found us with no bother and was lovely…already decided that next time we come back to glossop we will be ordering from grill on fire, excellent food and customer service.

I'm not impressed at all. Usually can't fault this place but last night spent over £34 on take-away. 2 items were Chicken shish on naan and chicken shish with rice. Hardly any meat whatsoever basically spent a load of money on rice and salad!!!! Also an extra £1 for cheese on top basically was pointless had the tiniest bit of cheese on. Really not impressed as could have spent all that money else where and got a good amount of food for almost £40!

This is our 2nd order as the first was lovely.. really enjoyed it. Tonight? Massive let down, like most places in Glossop, good for the first few weeks of opening then goes downhill. Ordered kebab, same as last time. Naan bread inedible because it was swimming in grease. I felt the need to go and get my snorkeling gear and jump in. Kebabs are more expensive than others in the area and not as big a portion. But, if it's nice you don't mind paying it, 1st time we definitely didn't regret ordering ( although bad gas the next day) Tonight we do regret not ordering elsewhere. Kebab meat itself was dry and bland ( we had to add our own seasonings) the tub of salad we received with the order, I've never seen such depressed tomatoes and they were stodgy. Unfortunately our 2nd order will be our last for a while. Hopefully if we do order again the food will be better and less swimming gear needed. Same owners as Norfolk pizza

Best donner meat in Glossop area (more lamb than in that of the competition). Excellent taste. Good delivery time - took half an hour on a Saturday. Will order oagain and would definitely recommend.

I've added to this review as I ordered from here again. The food was excellent especially the burger. Also it was lovely and hot. Definitely my new favourite takeaway. First time ordering from here and ordered the mixed donner wrap and the cotton mill burger and chips. All the food was excellent especially the burger. I'd go so far as to say it's the best burger I've had locally. Delivery was quicker than stated which was fine by me. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that the food want especially hot. Maybe putting it in a thermal bag would help. Other than that it was very good and I will definitely be ordering again.

The food is the best in glossop, open charcoal pit to cook on along with the chicken shawarma is 10/10 , crispy and fluffy chips to go with it. Great experience and going to be using this place regularly

Traveled from Essex for a stay in glossop and tried the mix kebab and doner meat and chips and some sides and really enjoyed all the food was 100 times better than any of our local kebab shops.

Just tried this place on a whim, and honestly it's the nicest takeaway I've ever had. It's now literally the only place I order from because nothing even comes close.

Hope there isn't anything wrong with your order as customer service doesn't seem to be something you will receive. My delivery went to the wrong address and when it did finally arrive wasn't right. I used their website to let them know, but this wasn't even acknowledged. I can only assume they don't care as they already have my money. Flip these mamma jammas right up the wrongun'!

Ordered from Grill on fire 4 times now, the food tasted great every time. My only critic is that the dough on the pizzas is really thin or soft so that when I pick up a slice the toppings including the cheese just fall of the slice and i end up scooping it up in my hands or eating it with a fork if they can sort this it's a 5 star all day

A great new "Kebab shop" in the centre of glossop Food was really good and mine (lamb and chicken shish) was cooked to order. The shop was quiet but was very busy

I’ve been waiting for somewhere like this to open in Glossop. The food is unreal. 100% recommend.

We tried this new venture shortly after they opened. We had Donner Kebabs. I was unable to finish mine as the meat was excessively salty. I phoned them the next day and said I wasn't after a freebie but the Donner meat was excessively salty. They thanked me for my feedback. A month or so had passed so we thought we would try the again. This time a mixed platter for 2. Sorry to say they have not improved as again, everything was excessively salty. We were unable to finish the food and spent the rest of the evening drinking large glasses of water. Such a shame as the other Kebab takeaways in Glossop don't have this problem.

Fantastic kebab, great quality food and delivered piping hot.

Food was Amazing and it was delivered in 20 minutes which was the fastest ive ever had food delivered .One thing though is on there website it says the bottles are 1.5 litres but when it was delivered, it was only 1.25 litres which is that much of a difference but its the little things that count.

2nd time ordering from here. And again, its absolutely banging. Best kebabs in glossop. The turkish sucuk sausage its banging too; its just rather expensive, but it is expensive to buy so can appreciate that.
