Lovely local old school village pub. Ran by the same family for 50 years. Open fire, dry board and a piano. Really friendly behind the bar. Reasonably priced. One ale on along with usual but no stout. Recommended 🍻 🎯 🔥 🎹 CASH ONLY 💷

Had a bad experience there with my wife, the pub was nice and the staff were brilliant but went for a drink there when we got outside a few locals we think followed us outside and I was set upon by about 5 blokes don’t know why maybe because our faces didn’t fit as we were not local just passing by, this happened outside one evening so if we do ever pass that way again maybe pay a visit to the plough instead, or just bypass gresford altogether.

Lovely atmosphere friendly staff

Best wet pub in the Wrexham Chester area. Beautiful and immaculately kept old school 80s decor. Friendly staff and locals, and an amazing landlady Jean who keeps the beer perfect, and on occasion treats the pub to a turn on the piano. I'm retiring to the seaside and this pub, and the people within, is the diamond I will miss most from living in the very desirable Gresford / Chester area. Simon.

First of all what a lovely landlady,Jean was very welcoming, friendly and informative about the pub and area,beer very good too,we had been to the nearby park and duck pond with Family, good place to finish the afternoon off,will visit more often from now on.

Still provides some the best maintained beer in the area.
