Family run business who puts love and effort into the food, really nice man who runs it and great food, highly recommended.

Ordered chips and a lamb donner kebab for pick up..got there and that's when they decided to make the order. Owner when asked said he had customer come two hours late and complain the food was cold . The meat looked pink..so I enquired and he said if it's not cooked bring in back. After tasting the lamb donner I can say it doesn't taste like lamb donner..

A great improvement since the new owners have taken over. Really nice fish and chips and friendly family owners. Highly recommended 👌

Lovely crisp chips not greasy at all. Generous portion. Vegetarian chips fried separately which was great. Owner very kind. It was my first time in there and I didn’t have cash. He kindly offered for me to pay later on.

Great tasting chips that are freshly made that are fried separately from the meat and fish products. They have a lot of the usual offerings and also offer a wide selection of vegetarian items all for a reasonable price!

They forgot our curry sauce but was still charged. Pickled egg was off which is crazy considering they are meant to last! Good portion of chips but not very tasty.

Hardly ever open the times it’s supposed to be open. Can always go on a Saturday afternoon after 1 and it’s still closed.

Waste of time. Went there they were closing up even though the opening times suggest they were open. Looks like a gritty place inside.

Best chips ever!! and fried in veg oil separately. Great place to get your chips from if you are a strict vegetarian and don't like your chips fried in the same oil as the fish is fried in. We always have our chips from here.

Best masala fish and chips in leicester

Brilliant chip shop, highly recommended to anyone that's vegetarian as they fry the chips in seperate oil. Thus I'd our regular & the staff are very friendly as well.

Best Fish and Chips I've had for years by far. It's very difficult to find somewhere this good. Quality fish and the batter is not too heavy (it's just right). Chips tasted very fresh, people say they fry them separately from the fish.

The most underrated chip shop around. Owners are friendly and humble as well as hard working. Their chips with salad and cheese is my favourite go to. !! Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. You won't be disappointed

Simply some of the finest chips in Leicester! Rare to see chippies with all day opening hours too (open from lunch til late). Combine that with quality chips fried fresh every time and you got one of the best chip shops in Leicester. I used to think Gypsy lane and Blue were the best and would only ever visit them but now Grewal has my attention! Large portion sizes and to those that care, chips are fried in separate oil to fish etc. Keep up the great work. (P.s. The only down side is parking problems. Best to park on Martin St and walk across.)
