No salt and vinegar on my chip nor was I asked. Kebab meat in one big chuck not sliced. No sauce on the kebab wasn't even asked. Found a raw chip in my food. Not visiting this place again, wasted £22 on the dodgy food.

Hair in the batter. It's only happened one's, we have been many times. We have wonderful food, service is brilliant The atmosphere is amazing friendly I have recommended Greg's to my friends and family I give you 8 out of 10

Very long wait times as they don't seem to work together on orders and its just a free for all, i have been in there waiting 20+ mins before while they make other peoples orders before mine, longest i have waited is over a hour just for a fish special! prices have sky rocketed and the quality has dropped, chips are disgusting now i just throw them in bin whenever i get them with like the burger meal. Chippy for us now is a rare occasion, price you pay here for portions you could get better food from a takeaway, wait times are too long probably because they just hire really young people who take no notice of anything.

This is the best chip shop, me and my mother travel all the way from Mansfield Woodhouse for this beautiful fish. The staff are lovely and my autistic sister loves her batter bits. Amazing chip shop.

Excellent food . We ordered online and picked up which was very easy and a good idea as it was busy. We will definitely be going again.

Always busy but very organised I always let them know I want 2 big fish … it takes around 10 mins to get your food … piping hot not greasy and great tasting good portions

Greg's Fish bar is fantastic. They do ok fish, but their kebab is truly amazing, good value for money, friendly staff. The chips are amazing, if they up their game on the fish then I would say this chippy is the best out of them all, better than pappas if they upgraded the fish. I'm just adding extra to my ongoing fantastic experience from Greg's Fishbar, I had a problem with my order... I messaged them via Facebook and they resolved the issue quickly, fulfilling the order, Greg's Fishbar went that extra mile to deliver the missing items asap. Greg's Fishbar is the best chippy, my number 1 choice, I'm never disappointed and I look forward to the next time I order from them again!

Called in for a bag of chips at lunchtime, really looking forward to them as not had any for ages but really disappointed. Chips far too greasy, soggy, some undercooked and possibly refried. Also cost £8 for bag of chips, curry sauce and a sausage. Wouldn't recommend!

I did up till recently rate this chippy very highly. Over the past few weeks standards appear to have slipped. Portion size has dropped dramatically also the quality of.the food. I put this down intitialy to the training of new staff not being upto standard. However these team members are now still there and still in my opinion now not offering the standard of quality or amount this chippy used to offer. Big shame as now I will go elsewhere that appreciate customer loyalty.

Easily the best chip shop in the area although they have started making a few mistakes with missing peas / gravy lately, it's happened 2 out of the last 4 orders and we travel 25 mins each way to pickup so we don't realise until we are back home but the positives outweigh the negatives.

Food is nice when you get what you asked for. The last 3 times in a row I've been I have received different to what I've ordered. 1st time no sauce on kabab meat, 2nd time missed off a fish and chips altogether and 3rd time asked for mixed meat and chips but got donner meat. Odd mistake is fine but it's a regular accurance.

Came down from Manchester for work purposes and came across the chippy , it was 10/10, the customer service was unreal, even tho i kept coming in and out and was annoying they remained polite and friendly. Women that served us was absolutely beautiful Will be returning if i’m ever down there again.

Waste of time I ordered food at 10 past 8, 40 mins delivery time and just because they apparently tried to call me 3 times and had no answer which I have no miss calls, they didn't deliver my food...... why not just knock on the door and I'll answer it as you have the address for delivery!!! And because they closed at 9pm they won't deliver the food that I ordered at 10 past 8....... waste of time never ordering from here again!!

The food is lovely but you really need to do something about your click and collect orders, I don’t understand the point of ordering click and collect when you still have to queue and then wait for everything to be made as if you ordered at the counter? The staff could be friendlier

By far the best chippy in the area! It's that good we've now started having a chippy tea every Friday! I know we shouldn't but when it's that good you can't help it. Staff are really friendly and always remember a regular face.

When I visited it was full with queue outside so took a little while to get served but the wait was worth it -food tasted delicious and staff friendly.

Fetched a couple of fish last night and they were the best I've ever had. Literally solid slabs of Cod. That's why I won't go anywhere else, and neither should you. 6 stars.

Always busy but excellent food, service and price. For the healthier option they also do jacket potatoes, which is a lifesaver if you're following Slimming World but the family want chippy tea!

Always been such a good chippy. Yesterday I went in and came out after 15+ mins with nothing. Not a glimmer of service or acknowledgement from any of the four staff in there. Two of us walked out. Came home and made a meal in less time than we waited. Disgraceful!😡

Used many times but after our latest, never again. Website said not as busy as usual. So ordered online and told an hour wait.After two hours six phone calls which weren't answered. Three texts and a Facebook message. They arrived. Stone cold and the worst fish and chips ever had. Chips hard fish l could hardly chew.

Always decent grub but was shortchanged by about £5 by the delivery driver Jade and she shouted at me when I questioned why she'd turned up 20 mins before my time slot luckily I'd just got in from work and she shouted back "COS IM BUSY OK" just spoke to owner and he made me feel I was wasting his time complaining shouted he was busy and got rid of my call never again 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

This time I am really regretting doing this, as Im usually quite pleased but, I feel I have to.... Saturday night tea, looking forward to it all afternoon. One small doner kebab for me and one large doner kebab for the other half. First of all, you dont do SMALL doner anymore. So I ended up with nothing as I didn't want anything on offer.. Secondly, the pitta bread was obviously in the toaster too long as it crumbled when the other half tried to fold it. Thirdly... Kebab meat was like 'eating old boots' (hubby's words not mine) So moral of the stories is the 'Saturday night tea' didn't go down very well at all... From a very unsatisfied couple..... 😔

Moved into the area a month ago and was recommended Greg’s for fish and chips. Probably had 7/8 meals there in 4 weeks. Staff are super friendly, food is great. Highly recommend. Ben, Molly and baby Adalynne

Just ordered through the website. Tried just eat first and minimum for a small chips 4.00!! Here large 4.20 I believe; and you get loads fed my family of 6. Everything is delicious!! Cannot believe how fresh it is. My twins absolutely love it. Thank you. Fed six for 14 quid and excellent quality. What more could you ask. Edit: came in 20 minutes.... wonderful

Tried this place a couple times now. The service was slow, rude staff, food tastes like how much it costs, cheap. Cheap products dont get you anywhere if your your trying to outdo your competitors. My meal consisted of 2 mini fish and chips, which i ended up throwing in the bin. The chips were hard as if they fried old potatoes and the fish had a funny smell to it. The batter was thick this time too which will obviously mean it would be soggy inside to which it was. I dont recommend this place unless your drunk out of a##e and stumble in by mistake

Been going there a couple of months now. 8% price increase on the mini fish special and seemed to be smaller portions too. Will give it a rest for a while.

Called in just before closing and the portion size for chips was huuuge. Friendly and efficient service, great value for money.

As always, it’s worth a weekly visit to Greggs as we can guarantee on a lovely meal. There’s more than plenty to go round so you’re never still hungry, in fact it’s difficult to finish everything. Ring your order through in advance and you won’t have to wait as long! Highly recommend the food, prices and the staff!

Always the best fish and chips in town and the service is good. There produce is freshly prepared and they are usually popular so it may take 5 or 10mins for your order to be ready, but that's a good sign 👌🏼
