Beware of Parking Fines at This Filling Station - Greggs Customers Be Cautious! ⭐ Rating: 1/5 I recently visited this filling station with my family, hoping to grab some warm food from the Greggs shop located on-site. Unfortunately, the experience turned into a nightmare due to the strict and seemingly unreasonable parking enforcement. Here’s what happened: We parked briefly, planning to be genuine customers at the Greggs inside the filling station. However, after walking over to the shop, we found it completely closed—lights off, doors locked, no sign of operation. With no way to purchase anything, We returned to the car and left within minutes and we thought nothing more of it. Days later, I received a £100 parking fine in the post for “unauthorized parking.” Despite the fact that we fully intended to be paying customers, the mere fact that we couldn’t complete our purchase due to the shop’s closure has now left us with a hefty penalty. It seems that this filling station enforces strict penalties for parking, even if you’re a customer with genuine intentions. There were no clear signs warning about fines for customers who cannot make a purchase because the shop is closed. If you’re thinking of stopping here to buy something quickly, be very cautious, as even the best intentions could leave you with an unexpected and unfair fine. Recommendation: Avoid parking here unless you’re certain all shops are open and that you can complete your intended purchase without any issues. Otherwise, you might end up paying a lot more than you bargained for!

Greggs is a family favourite with us however I would urge you not to make the same mistake as we did particularly if you suffer any health or medical problems that might require you to use the bathroom! We queued to fill up our tank at the Shell Garage initially in the pouring rain. My daughter could see there was a Greggs inside so insisted we parked up and ordered our favourites, sausage rolls and a steak bake. With a handy coffee machine too we were set for the day! Little did we know that if you are in the queue (including waiting for fuel) for more than 10 minutes, an external parking company will hit you with £100 fine. God forbid you need to use the toilet facility which unfortunately my daughter did due to a medical condition. This does not seem to matter at all - even with medical notes. The receipt for the fuel and for Greggs was shown in an appeal as well as a medical note re: my daughters condition. My point is. This is not a suitable place for a Greggs to be situated because after fuelling up there is it enough time to queue for any other service and Greggs should display a big sign to say: you can’t stay longer than 10 minutes or you will be fined £100. It is the responsibility of the garage, Greggs and the Costa coffee to highlight this to customers as I was completely unaware and would not have stopped to purchase food or use the toilet had I known this. There are signs outside near the trees apparently which in the pouring rain I can assure you, nobody is going to stop to read the small print. Greggs, please choose somewhere less risky for your food locations.

Low quality restaurant with low quantities. In addition, the staff are unpleasant and do not hesitate to make fun of foreigners because of their accent. First and last time here.

I was extremely ill with d&v after eating food from here. I cannot believe this place is still trading given the reviews. I reported my illness to the council who told me I'd need to give microbioligy samples to confirm where the germs causing my illness had came from, my symptoms passed the next day so i was unable to. Avoid avoid avoid.

Food is terrible. Bread is hard and not fresh at all. Sausages texture disgusting. For a cafe everything should be fresh not feel like it was made 3 days ago

Please avoid frustration. On the signboard outside, they claim any pizza is for a half price before 9:00 pm. But once you are in to buy, they will charge you full price. I asked the owner for an explanation, he has not had an answer but mumbling. I would not recommend
