Whole service station is terrible, don’t bother stopping. Caravan parking is in urine soaked lorry park and if you do have a caravan and can’t climb stairs you will at least be saved from a dreadful service station

There are few certainties in life more prominent than having to visit of services once in a while on a long journey. Be it for food, drinks or bodily functions, a station is designed to accommodate all needs to the weary traveller. If I was a weary traveller who had committed war crimes or general life atrocities, then this would be the services for me. Granted, my need was only for a coffee (provided by the nation’s favourite mug of grit - Costa) and thus this review can’t fully incorporate the rating for this location. However, after ordering a flat white for a small mortgage and receiving a goblet of burnt milk I felt compelled to. Firstly, service. I think if I served a coffee to Jeffery Dahmer I would’ve been more polite than how I was served. The order was incorrect and completed as the ‘barista’ was on her phone. I guess TikTok is really that important. Secondly, the coffee. I think I’ve had mouth ulcers that were more flavoursome than this hot cup of plain milkshake. I decided to throw it in the bin as I feel rubbish would enjoy rubbish more. I think in the days where I could’ve had a coffee made by a machine next door; let’s just say ‘Welcome’ to our robot overlords.

Ghastly. Cold, grubby, not accessible from services lobby but by separate entrance. Horrible sausage roll, greasy. Seats back in main lobby are v basic. To be avoided.

What a filthy muck hole of a place 4 out of 6 toilets out of order the ones that were in order were smelly and dirty, The M & S no gluten free option the Burger King no fries available has to make do with Crisps and coffee at Costa Coffee only one CCS car charge point which was in use and a type 2 11kw if I didn’t need the charge I’d have carried on elsewhere wouldn’t touch this place with a barge pole

This place is filthy, drive past or stop at an earlier one. Needs closing & cleaning as a minimum! Not sure who is responsible, if anyone, but they need to have a look around the site.

The service stations vary quite a lot. Some are pleasant and easy. This one is grim. First off, it is cramped outside with no greenery. Inside, the toilets are upstairs but worse are dirty and smell of P. No larger child-changing or disabled cubicle. The cubicle wc had some kind of plastic cover on it that I've never seen before and I had to spend time messing around trying to get it off. Not the nicest task ever. Downstairs we went to Burger King. 4 screens to order, 2 not working and I don't get fast food often so preferred to order via the staff instead of the screen but they were nowhere to be seen. I think they hide in the kitchen waiting for an order to come through on the screens. Eventually got what I wanted but wasn't cheap at of fourteen quid for a burger for me plus child, drink and chips. Burger almost warm enough.
