Greggs in North Ayrshire

Food always cold.they say they don't sell hot food .yet they put food in an oven and heat it up before selling it cold .greggss seem to have no idea what a bakers is. Bakers sell hot food. Aswell as this the prices go up weekly and they charge extra 20% to sit in with your cold food. Seating is simply a couple seats next to a open door. Crammed and not really suitable for sitting area. Certainly wouldn't pay 20% on top of the standard rip off price. If u want something hot n fresh. Go elsewhere. This place is a joke. Disgusting way to run a shop. There is aulds just around the corner. Cheery staff. Option of hot or cold. And a real seating area without an extra charge. Even has a toilet. Something else gregs don't give you even though you pay extra to sit in the cold, don't waste your money in gregs.

I went here for my lunch and was greeted by a complete ball liker who just ignored me. Then i asked for a Yum Yum and was giving a empire biscuit. Then asked the young man to swap it and he gave me a face full of abuse.worst of all my Yum Yum was stale and tasted of complete dog poo. what a let down

We hopped off a cruise ship in Greenock and walked around a bit before we happened into Greggs. It was just what we needed; warm Latte, sweet eclair and super fast Internet. If I was a local this would be a regular stop.

I absolutely love this place. Really well priced food. Great chocolate muffins. The sandwiches are extremely good.

I was in store at 10am on the 8th of August.I ordered scotch pie and sausage roll.woman was cleaning tables then proceeded to serve me by putting my order into a bag without washing her hands, using tongs or wearing gloves.she actually walked behind put her dirty cloth down then handled my food.DISGUSTING.We're talking about basic food hygiene here and it's not acceptable what if I was a young child or elderly person.if this goes on in front of house goodness knows what happens back of house.needless to say incident reported to head office.I won't use here again as it's the worst greggs I've used.also give the breakfast deal a miss, it's consistently poor.lack of choice and inedible bacon.This greggs needs an overhaul clearly down to poor training and weak management. AVOID

You always know what to expect with Greggs - same great food, same standards in all outlets.Credit though this time to the male assistant who found what I wanted when they were not on display, and, opened a bag of 4 to sell me 1 - very helpful.

I was in Greggs yesterday 13th June with my sister we ordered coffee and cakes.We sat at the table to enjoy this but watching the guy behind the counter put us off our cakes and had to bin them as hygiene has obviously not been trained in this store. He kept sniffing and wiping his nose on his hands then touching the food without washing his hands before.Disgusting,Then the older guy came out to refill the shelves and on seeing that one of the tables had crumbs on them he swiped his hand across and threw the crumbs on the floor then proceeded to fill the shelves! I don’t know why gloves are not worn when handling food !,

Visited here on Saturday for a scotch pie and when I ate it approx 2 minutes later the mince was only lukewarm.this seems to happen a lot here. I would avoid and try elsewhere.for the price they charge it should be better than that.far to inconsistant with there hot foods.still having problems with breakfast deals especially if you go in later, often all ingredients unavailable.

Really poor greggs. Hot food never very hot and when you purchase the breakfast roll and coffee deal they never have all the breakfast ingredients available

hot food is luke warm especially mid aftenoon. should not be sold as HOT food. Staff even appologise for serving underheated food

Great place to go. I am also a fan of the sausage Jesus! It had great comedic effect and I enjoyed it. Thanks Greggs!

This is really just like any other Greggs. It is in a very good position in town and easy to get to. And yes.....it does our favouite divine and delicious cheese puff pastry pasties.Cant resist them. They are scrumptious !!

Had lovely lunch here, staff were nice, nice lunch & cuppa,was not expensive either which is good in this day & age

What can you say about Greggs as they are pretty much the same all over. Only poor thing was the food was on the cool side. Place is very tidy and the staff are very friendly and efficient.

Usually very tidy and clean bakers, with several tables if you wish to sit in, staff friendly, can get extremely busy at times, food always tastes the same.

Pasties are OK but they are lukewarm, not hot. It's OK to sit in for a quick snack though, and the coffee is quite nice.

You can't go wrong with a Greggs grab a sandwich and head off to the sea front. Place is clean well stocked and staff are friendly

Got sausage rolls for my granddaughter and she loved it very friendly staff chatty away to my granddaughter all the time

a coffee, sandwich and bun ideal for eating on the prom in the sun, but be careful of the greedy seagulls!!

Cannot beat the yum yums and the caramel pecan cakes they do now. Great choice and not normally a long queue.

As with most Gregg stores the range and choice of sandwiches and cakes is good and it speaks for itself when you go in around 3.00 nearly everything has been sold. Staff very friendly.

This is a baker that also does a great take away coffee, Soup or sandwich. Ideally situated in the main street. Good service

Very reasonably prices food, excellent coffee and nice people serving. Lower calorie and healthy options.

With their sausage rolls and chicken bakes it no wonder Greggs is so popular. Friendly staff and ideal location in the main street.

I was in Largs today and I was passing Greggs around lunchtime and noticed that they had several tables,so thought I would go in for some lunch. Big mistake!! I selected and paid for a chicken wrap and a tea and went to sit at a table, which didn't look like it had been cleaned all day. There were two other tables which were just as dirty! The floor was covered in food droppings and didn't look like it had had a clean in weeks. The bin where you put your food wrappers etc was overflowing. Possibly the muckiest place I have ever eaten in. The food was good though as were the staff (all two of them). Maybe that was the problem, understaffing! My thinking is that if it is like that front of house what is it like at the back!! I certainly wont be visit again
