Terrible terrible service. And utter rank H&S. The hot food containers did not have the lids on, and when I questioned if the food would still be hot, the surly response was yes AND IT BL00## WELL WAS NOT!! 1 person serving, 2 chatting amongst themselves. No apologies, no friendly service, no eye contact. Just terrible, awful. Hate the place

Gave me an ice cold pastie, I don’t see how I’m meant to enjoy cold beans and sausage.

YUK! I am vegan and this morning I wanted a snack so stopped here. The young tetchy boy serving couldn’t be bothered to actually tell me what vegan options they have; instead, he had the cheek to print it off and tried to serve other customers in front of me. I chose a truly vile ‘Mexican wrap’. GROSS FOOD & DREADFUL STAFF WITH COMPLETE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS.

Absolutely Awful! The woman who served me was rude, snotty and wasn't happy I was ordering more than 1 pastie for my family of 5 . Didn't like that I had my own tea bag and cup like it was loads of effort to put water in my Gregg's cup,she burst my tea bag and got real stroppy when my husband wanted a bag to put 12 pasties in. In a rush we left to get to the ferry port to find that half our pasties weren't cooked properly and had to get something else to eat that was fully cooked. Had to wait until we got home to the middle of Ireland to cook our pasties to enjoy without food poisoning. Giving 1 star because the toilet was clean

There's something about national trust cafes. Overpriced service is always poor and the food is always substandard Paid £3.30 for a bottle of water. There was no filling station for us to refill ours.

We live local and go to Bala New china takeaway, far superior and how it should be done. if I had a dog I wouldn’t feed anything from this takeaway to it, gave it 2 chances but as little as we order takeaway food, this is unedible.

Decent pub but what made it for us was Lewis behind the bar. Played an excellent mix of music and was very engaging with customers including us. Lewis also played a few requests and was very knowledgable music wise - it was great chatting to him about music in general and he was spot on with his recommendation of Imelda May’s cover of the Northern Soul classic Tainted Love (which a certain band from Leeds may have covered early 80s too). Regular live music nights are very busy so while generally dog friendly, probably best to avoid taking the dog on live music nights. Thanks Lewis - your happiness was infectious and you made sure our last night in Aberdyfi spent at The Brit was top!
