Greggs in Manchester

Went in today at 12.10pm only to find that all the tables and chairs had been removed. We wanted something to eat and drink and sit in to eat it but couldn’t. My friend started eating her sandwich whilst waiting for me and was told (by the security guy) she had to go outside to eat it. It was cold. We had hot drinks and food and didn’t want to eat/drink outside. Absolutely ridiculous!! Also, very poor selection of hot food and not very friendly staff. Won’t be using this place again.

Their chicken bake is awful.... Too much salty and the white material is litrelly un palatable.... Please just review your recepies...

Depressing in all degrees. Queues to get food, miserable employees and an angry man who shouts at you when you put your coffee down briefly before exiting.. the worst side of Greggs in one store - I won’t be back

Just out for a morning walk and passing by Greggs mean veggie Sausage roll. Busy time so slow service which is understandable. Good location especially for the commuters on their way towards station.

I LOVE the coffee from Gregg's and the staff is always very friendly.

Essex definitely needs a drive thru like this. Food is very hot freaking freshly cooked and delicious. Staff was AMAZING. COME ON GREGGS YOU NEED TO COME DOWN SOUTH AS A DRIVE THRU

Staff member didn’t have an apron or hat on but it was a male Indian man I assume. whilst I could see him making breakfast and I was put off by this majorly. I’ve noticed he does it a lot and the preparation of food is shocking. And I customers are always receiving the wrong drink orders.

The service is horrible. I requested for a large hot chocolate drink, the attendant was off focus she served me in small cups then I complained and someone else attended to me and literally gave just hot water like chocolate. What’s the point of buy hot chocolate when it doesn’t taste like it, it was so watery. This is so terrible!

It was most lovely and great experience

Come here with my colleagues twice a week for our morning walk to get snacks, great food as always. There is a lovely staff member, I THINK her name is Claire, she's always there in the mornings and she's really sweet and funny, top customer service. GREGGS, give some recognition and reward to her, she's always running around, hard-working.

I got an order everything was fine except the Easter bunny biscuit it had a hair in it cooked inside I would put a picture up if I could

Ordered on Uber eats a bunny biscuit and it was cooked with a hair absolutely disgusting they said they have been wearing hats to cover the hair. But how can a hair be cooked with the biscuit contaminated biscuit 🤮

Shelves always empty at lunch , that photo is from 12noon. Que always huge, will get worse now as they have started doing Deliveroo. Has a seating area that closed in Covid and never reopened, don’t know why. Staff are nice enough, just not enough in number to manage demand

Staff where amazing, friendly and the food was fresh. Ordered 8 cheese and onion pastries. Best Greggs I've ordered from. Highly recommend this place. Thank you soo much guys.

For god sake always have a long queue like it’s been 3 days I wanted to get a coffee and I’d rather leave instead of waiting for half an hour why most of the shop have only one staff working? Is it how you saving money?

Can't beat a Gregg's. Coffee is good value compared with the specialist chains, cappuccino a favourite.

@Greggs shop Manchester piccadilly m1 2da on 25/11/2023 I was on my own with my 9 year old son visiting Manchester for the day. When walking past greggs my son fall over on the grid in the middle of the path, I went into greggs get some tissue and the staff were amazing and thoughtful offering water etc. Compliments again and thankyou

This same woman always serves me after I finish work and my god is she a misery. Never smiled and always acts like serving me is a chore. It’s the woman who looks like a crackhead, I don’t think customer service is for you lovey.

How at 9.50 am do you have 1 member of staff on and you don’t think to tell the line of people that you’ve ran out of bacon and sausage due to not restocking when your running low …. But better that let everybody still wait rather than say nothing left

I went into this store at 18:55 the woman was mopping and moaned when we asked if they was open and snapped at us sayin I am now your in the store isn't supposed to close untill 20:30 me and a lady went in the woman aas moaning that other people were coming into the store and they left after hearing her they way I was treated by this woman was a disgrace I don't think ill be back at one of these stores again after this

The lady who was working when I visited was just rude and Took way to long to get any service.

It's was lunch time and somehow the food was cold and it took forever to be served even though the queue wasn't that big.

Vegan options for breakfast too now. Great for morning breakfast run.

Decent to have quick and readily made pastries. Piccadilly train station is also near by and its adjacent a pub where you can have a relaxing day if you're travelling or visiting Manchester.

Greg's was very good store and I like their snacks as well

was here for job interview, the interview was smooth and engaging. I think i did perfectly well but i never heard from them again. Could it be racial discrimination?

I was quite put off by the attitude of the Staff who didn't 'speak' during the whole transaction. Also a young male coughed all over his hands and then handled food. This was in the 'No seàting' shop in Piccadilly Manchester

Not great. Steak bake I bought not warm never mind hot.

Food was stone cold, think it had been sitting around for a long time. Only a couple of things to choose from. Doesn't seem to be much meat in the bakes these days.

Avoid the queue at the Piccadilly Station branch by walking down to this branch. Hot food and quick service.

6 o'clock in the morning and it's coffee time

Believe me hen I say that whenever I get the chance, I order like 4 sausage rolls, bottle of orange juice and cookies without fail😌😌. It's too nice. You'll realise that whenever you're thinking of sausage rolls first place to come in mind will be Greggs, and that's be cause they make the most exemplar bakery in the UK, for real.

The "Hot" food is alway low temp here, well when I go in it is. The staff are always very friendly even when they're run off their feet.

Poor Hygiene. They handle cash and then immediately they prepare your bacon roll with no consideration you're actually standing there watching them.

Fresh pastries at a decent price in a great location. You can run across the pavement to get a pie and quickly rush to catch the bus right outside. Staff where friendly and professional.

I had a dream that all that could be was and all that should be is, then it came true when I visited Greggs. I had to bite down on my lip just to see if I was still dreaming but I was awake, probably more awake than I have ever been in my entire life, just a shame they don't sell cheap energy drinks.

Really friendly staff, food is usually hot or very warm and a large selection of products.

Good place for snacks which are hot and cold. Also sell hot and cold drinks

Had a bacon sandwich in the morning with an extra omelette + ketchup and it was awesome!

Used to call here daily for breakfast sometimes even twice for a dinner snack. The staff are really friendly and has a good atmosphere. I just wish idiotic people wouldn't put their brew sticks and sugar wrappers down the liquid funnel.

Service was fabulous. Nice and friendly. It was about 10.30am and between 2 of them they were serving an endless amount customers with a smile. The only let down was that the tables were messy ... but there is no way they could have taken a break from serving to clean them.

Called in on Wednesday 15 Feb, the girl serving was the most polite friendly person I think I've ever come across, I pointed it out to the manager too, oh the sausage rolls were lovely too, brilliant staff

Is what it is....a Greggs....sadly they run out of stock similarly to the arndale one quickly, but its kinda to be expected in the city centre but can be frustrating (especially when the ones nearby picadilly station and the one just further up from picadilly gardens rarely seem to run put of your favourites) But here the staff are really nice, unlike the arndale one.

Love the food from here clean and hot

Standard greggs, friendly staff. Good for a £2 breakfast. If coming from the train station, use this one rather than the train station's Greggs.

Staff are very friendly, even at 6am!!

Brilliant value for money on the breakfast menu. Amazing bacon sandwich. Nearly went back for another one!

It's a pretty standard Greggs. PRO TIP: Go to this one, instead of the one in Piccadilly Station, as this one is always much less busy.
