Greggs in Havant

The staff are excellent and always make it a pleasure to visit. 4 stars for food because as with all Greggs they do not keep food warm. It's pot luck if you get a hot or cold sausage roll and as we all know, Greggs sausage rolls are impressive when they're hot or hot but horrible when they're cold. This is not a snub in this branch as they are above excellent, but come on Greggs, would it hurt to keep my sausage roll warm?? 😁😁

I purchased a couple of pastries, including a sausage roll and a cheese and onion bake, and to my surprise, they were both stone cold. I understand that there can be fluctuations in temperature, but this was more than just a slight drop—these pastries were downright cold and unappetizing. It’s really disappointing when you’re expecting a warm, tasty treat, only to be met with something that seems like it’s been sitting out for far too long. It’s not the standard of quality I associate with Greggs, and I’m sure many customers feel the same way. I hope you take this feedback seriously, as I believe that ensuring your pastries are served warm and fresh is crucial to maintaining the high standards your brand is known for.

All good. Recently opened inside Tesco Havant. Clean, friendly and a nice variety of Gregg's goodies.

Sunday 11th Aug 2024. 8.30am. Popped in for bacon rolls and hot drinks, guy behind counter was polite and in a cheerful mood( he'd been there since 5am). Service was great. Rolls were great, drinks made well. Great price too. Thank you.

Good little greggs addon. Gets busy at times and they have limited staff. But friendly and good food.

I hate Greggs and what they have done to local bakeries, but their vegan sausage rolls are premium.

Went on a Sunday at 4:30 when they claim to shut at 5:00 to find that the doors were locked, the shutters down on the food sections and the staff were just chatting behind the till. Why lock the doors when you still have a full half an hour left!

It turns out this is not a Greggs but an Asda in disguise so they don’t except any QR codes for a free coffee or sausage roll offered by octopus yet last week they did, won’t be using them again there is a really nice food wagon in the car park behind them on the Billy line

Wanted pizza, a three cheese in fact but it was thoroughly burnt. Staff need to learn the basics of baking and cooking good unburnt food.

The staff here are excellent, really nice and friendly and always have a chat and wish us well, never had any problems here

I do like Greggs but this isn't the first time they haven't got any egg for the breakfast rolls. Deals do make it good value for money. 💰

No issues use this a fair bit while visiting the Island

I work in retail and customers pay your wages.just be nice to people ....we don't know what your through and u don't know what we are going through. Sadly you shouldn't be a manager.

Staff are always really friendly and efficient. Only thing is the pastries I've bought have always been cold...Still tasty just saying.

Went to get some pasties and sandwiches. The staff were lovely but the pasties were cold and stale. Took them back as they were not good and was told they had no heating counter. In fairness the staff were very good but were unable to offer us hot pasties. We finally settled on some luke warm ones not ones we would have chosen. They need a heat counter in there or the waste will end up closing it down. Would have given it a 1 star if not for the staff.

Freshly baked food. Great service. Great choice and most importantly conveniently located as you leave the neighborhood. The fuel station next to it was equally useful. Highly recommended on the way home!

I would recommend to come here in the early hours because later in the day, the shelves are empty, meaning that what you want to purchase is unavailable. However the latte with plant based milk is fine.

We happened upon this branch of Greggs whilst walking the Hayling Billy trail. The service station in which it is situated is visible from the trail, and it is also very close to a small beach. We actually had nice enough weather to be able to purchase a snack lunch from here and then take it to the beach so as to be able to enjoy it whilst watching the sea. Our rolls were tasty and good value, accompanied by freshly-brewed tea & coffee. Due to Covid-19 the eat-in facility here has been withdrawn, so the beach was the next-best option.

Generally Gregg's has a great variety of cheap but good quality food. Suitable for everyone from meat eaters to vegans. They have drinks, savoury (both meat and meat free) and of course sweet. Great place 👍

Although we were fed in the morning and evening it still leaves a void during the day and I really do not think that you can go wrong using one of these places, if you didn't know that this one was there you can quite easily drive past but well worth sourcing for a couple of steak bakes ;-0

Nipped in after feeling peckish having noticed it seems quite busy but was disappointed that even though there is quite a good choice in different savoury or sweet pastries, the food was cold and greasy and there was a long queue too.

Just want a crusty roll, is it too much to ask?

Very Poor service lack knowledge of the own products, i said no sauce and once was down the road realised they put ketchup in wich I have allergy too ,food went straight in the bin ,bacon could not be cooked for longer looked like old leather

Staff changes constantly. Always running out of things and dont tell you until after you've ordered everything else. Shame as it's really convenient.

This Greggs seems to be meeting a need, it is ALWAYS busy. Must have been open for the best part of a year now, but this was my first visit. The lady behind the counter had not come across a macchiato before, and to be fair it does not feature on the printed menu, but with a few words of explanation she made a fine job of it. Clean, comfortable and well lit. And some local B&W photographs of the Island, always a nice touch. Only a couple of negative comments. I know it's June but it is certainly not 'flaming' right now but the aircon seemed to be running full tilt. The lady sitting next to me - appeared to be doing her homework - was well wrapped up in a sheepskin jacket! And the coffee was a touch bitter for my taste. Perhaps just today's roast. We seen this place when we stopped at the nearby garage, and decided to call in on the way back to our hotel, having first checked the closing time. when we arrived (at 4pm) it was closed an hour earlier that the time posted on the door. there was a lady inside near the door when OI inquired why it had shut early, I was just told we are closed. So I can't rate the food or the place properly because we couldn't get in.
