Greggs in South Ayrshire

The shop had a recent revamp, but the game remains the same. The staff have their heads up their proverbial, still ignoring the customers and refilling the shelves and ovens. A roll and link sausage is now £2.50 , with one less link and still the smallest roll in the world. This truly is the last time.

We came in and had meal deals today. My sandwich was about 20p more if I added a cuppa, and the wife was about the same adding to her cheese and bacon pastry thing. Decently quick service, even though the short queue was out of the shop when we arrived. There were tables, but the way they asked if I was eating in or out made me suspect there was a charge for using them. (Unconfirmed.) The food was pretty good through - as was the tea - and we took it down to the beach front and watched the sea.

Bacon and sausage rolls would be a delight, if there was any left after the builders and contractors emptied the coffers . They don’t plan ahead when Joe Soup turns up.

We popped in here for some takeaway food, it was our first visitto this branch, the shop itself very clean and well laidout and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good and good value for money.
