Greggs is always an experience, today was even more magical, Alysha (blonde hair) although working bank holiday Monday was extremely upbeat, chatty, happy and smiling, she helped me choose which drink to have, her colleague Claire or Clare, couldn't remember spelling (apologies) (not blonde) also made the drink as Alysha helped. Both are a credit to the Greggs in the precinct.

We went here today at around 15:00, the staff were very pleasant and helpful, two ladies were serving behind the counter with one other lady clearing the tables etc. Firstly, whose idea is to collect your tray with your food and and beverages on at the serving hatch which has all the dirty pots etc on a trolly about ten centimetres stacked below the serving hatch? Not only is it very unhygienic, but watch out that you don’t get leftovers all over your clothes with having to lean over the dirty pots. Next, the cafe wasn’t very busy, and I wouldn’t class 15:00 as a ‘peak’ time, the tables and seating area was an absolute mess, crumbs and food all over, not only on the tables and floors, but on the seats too, the bins overflowing with rubbish, what really did wind us up was the amount of waste from using paper cups with plastic lids?? All these are just dumped in the one bin??? I don’t believe for one moment that someone goes through all this rubbish separating the plastic lids from the paper cups? What about recycling? It was an absolute mess in there, more like a cheap truckers cafe than a high street cafe which usually has a good name. I want to make it quite clear that this didn’t appear to be down to the staff, no one that works there was stood around chatting, like I mentioned earlier, one lady was working on her own to try clear the mess, and two were busy at the counter serving, perhaps invest in more staff? Unfortunately we won’t be going again due to the lack of hygiene and the risk of getting food on our clothes, not a pleasant experience, well done to the staff for putting up with doing the job that at least 5 people should be doing

Recently visited the pear tree for a family meal. Had an excellent time, great service and the food was gorgeous. We all felt very attended to, and George was especially great with our children, who are usually very shy in these settings.

Restaurant was dirty and not at all kept up to standards. The food was dry and undercooked causing food poisoning for 3 days. I will never go back here again it was atrocious and I would advise anyone else from going.

I attended the HSM Bottomless Brunch in May and could not fault the service of the young lady who served us. She was attentive and made sure our glasses were never empty. The pre ordered brunch (I had french toast) wasn't great though. The French toast was actually pancakes and they were both hard and cold. Was not a deal breaker however as we came for the brunch and definitely got our money's worth. What an absoulte shame my subsequent experience with your doormen and your absoulte refusal to acknowledge any of my messages let down what was a fantastic day up until that point. I am still awaiting the reply where you explain at what point it is acceptable for two male doormen to come into the female toilets to forcibly drag me out when I'm unwell? I completely acknowledge I'd had too much to drink, but I was in a cubicle being sick, was not in anyone's way and did not refuse to leave. I told the doormen I would leave after I'd been sick but that did not stop them from ENTERING my cubicle and dragging me out. Absoutlely disgusting on so many fronts and tbe actions of your MALE bouncers was highly inappropriate. To make matters worse you've then refused to acknowledge any of my emails or messages RE this matter, shows your priorities really. Would strongly advise people to avoid this establishment, once they've taken your money they don't give a damn and clearly an establishment that things it's appropriate for two men to storm into a female bathroom and drag someone out who is clearly worse for wear.
