Ordered a burger and chips meal and it was all stale. Bun, burger and chips all fell apart as soon as I got it home. Nice people but standards are dropping

Good size portion for your money and very fresh - the curry sauce is banging. When we were in there, a lady was recommending to a customer to order food delivery though them directly rather than get it through Ubereats or anything else because they charge more on the apps. It was friendly and clean.

Food was really good and I've never really had a problem here. Got delivery tonight and the driver rang my buzzer like there was no tomorrow. I mean literally holding down the buzzer until I got to the door *a no more than 1 min journey. When I expressed annoyance at that the driver told me to "apologise". I'm unsure if he had a bad day, but don't take it out on us. Or our buzzers. Other than that! Absolutely fab food. Won't be getting delivery again though.

Was recommended by a local to visit them just for their thick base pizzas and he nailed it. Freshly made in front of you and piping hot from the oven, it made my dinner meal a champion. Each slice bends of the weigh of all ingredients. Donner pizza had the meat slices a bit crispy making them even nicer. Meat feast pizza was great too. Price decent. Staff friendly and efficient. Clean place.

Super fun team of people working there! We went there to get some food around 11:45 pm, and all the guys served us with a huge smile. We ordered two chicken wraps, and they were really incredible! Everything tasted very fresh and the portion was quite big. We got jealous of the chips that we saw others ordering and one of the guys let us try some. Since they were amazing, they made sure that they added more into both our wraps. What a great find! Will definitely visit again very soon.

Ordered a kebab with salad no cucumber as I am allergic and for mayonnaise… Got a kebab covered in a pink sauce, chilli sauce and cucumber… unable to eat it… Would not recommend or order again…

Just popped in the shop whilst doing my evening walks around Smithdown road and bought Fish and Chips. Fish and chips were nice and freshly prepared. Chips portion quite generous. I have not tried anything else so can't say much about other food items but Fish & Chips lovely. They could improve the batter quality though and make it more crispy.

Great staff, they were very busy so had to wait but they apologised for v the wait and gave me daughter a drink. Food was fresh and lovely

Awful! First time ordering from here because my usual place was closed. Food was cold when arrived chips looked anemic rice not cooked properly. The only ok part was the sausages. Very expensive aswell not coming here again

Just had fish and chips from greenbank, and this was in the top 5 worst food I have ever had, without a doubt. Incredibly greasy and flavourless, it was like eating a greasy sponge of food without the need to chew the food. It was too late to make my own dinner this time, and actually had to force down the last few bites which made me feel sick by the end. I wish I would be exacerbating, I truly do

Their fish is really fantastic, where they don't use too much batter but it isn't too little either. When it comes to their chips, I'm not that keen on them however they're not bad either. Both their mushy peas and curry sauce are quite tasty too. I didn't try the gravy. I would definitely recommend going here, especially if there's at least two of you as you can get a meal deal with two people buying fish and chips. You can't done in, here but it is a take away after all. I would recommend this place.

Disappointing. I called in and ordered fish, chips and peas, surely their headline dish. I asked for them to be wrapped separately, but this was ignored, meaning the fish batter was steamed, soggy and inedible, having been packed with the chips. The fish was broken into multiple pieces, and I hadn't been asked if that was acceptable. Generally it had the air of having been cooked some time ago and sat on a hotplate. The chips were full of green bits and black spots from very poor quality potatoes, and were also old and soggy. The lady who served me was however polite and charming, and the place seemed extremely clean.

Famous for its fish.. absolutely beautiful so fresh! Tried other dishes too which are equally amazing and fresh. Customer service excellent definately a regular go to now. Thanks For filling us up with your elaborate portions yum!

This is the best chippy in the area for Allerton, Wavertree & Mossley Hill. I order from here once a week and it's spot on every time. Lots of my friends have started ordering from there too.

Garlic bread tasted like just plain bread with no taste of garlic at all and arrived cold. Fish and chips are the same size and taste as other nearby places but cost more here. Better off goin elsewhere

Love the food from here as its always fresh. They cook everything in front of you too while you wait. We love to get it delivered too as it's always hot and delivered with care. If your looking for fish and chips or pie dinners ect this place is a must. Hope you all enjoy it xx

Would really recomend for those lazy Fridays when you can't be bothered cooking and fancy a chip shop treat. Indulge and treat yourself, 2020 was a rough ride.

I don't usually write reviews but felt that I had to. Pale, undercooked chips (chippies have one job to do, cook chips, surely) and tough, overcooked, greasy fish. Made the mistake of going as the other local chippies were closed and now I feel rancid.

We ordered for the first time tonight; and if i was being picky; the delivery was a tiny tiny bit late (5 mins) but the food was really good. Lovely fresh chips and tasty fish , crispy batter and it was hot even though it was home delivery. Delivery was safe distance. Thanks we have been desperate for fish n chips. We’ll be back.

The quality of the food is good but nothing special. However the one thing I love about GBFB is how clean the place is. You could literally eat off any of the surfaces no problem. Not to mention the guys in here are just proper sound. They used to know my order off by heart

Just got 2 cod n chips and 1 haddock n chips peas n can of pepsi. Fish VERY dry peas too salty. Couldn't eat it. Chips not great. VERY DISAPPOINTED as had great food in the past. Feel I deserve a refund.! ☹️

Fairly busy but had to wait over 10 minutes for pie and chips. Pretty expensive too, very small chips and a steak pie cost £3.60.

Food here is exceptional (speaking from experience as I'm a level 5 chef). Delivery is superb and always arrives earlier. I ordered last night (7/11/18) and food arrived 15 minutes after ordering. They've also been very accommodating when I sent a note to the restaurant asking for details of a supplier of something I use regularly and they provided the details. I will continue to give my custom to this restaurant. 1 small criticism tho; the Hawaiian pizza (ham and pineapple) is a bit too salty to my liking. Excellent food, service and delivery. Well worth more than 5* but that's the most I can give.

Terrible service & over charged me in 2 occasions 1st time let it ride. Now just been charged 2:40 extra im not being rude but he was belligerent in his attitude. Will nvr go again

Ordered from here quite a few times now, the guys that run it are lovely and the service is fab. Food is yummy, especially the chicken kebabs, it's usually delivered early and they're really good at putting right any issues if they arise.
