Kas our waiter was 10/10. Cannot praise him enough for such impeccable service. Being in hospitality myself I struggle sometimes when I receive poor service but Kas was exceptional. Big up Kas

I had Zenn booked for a hen party for 19 ladies. Such a disappointment I was so upset with the overall service. It was an absolute disaster I felt so bad for the bride to be. I booked this venue as the lady I was dealing with via email told me there would be entertainment either a Sax player, magician, or violinist. After seeing the video they advertised for their bottomless brunch I thought it looked fabulous. How wrong was I. Every single person in our party was disappointment upon walking in. Absolutely no atmosphere or entertainment. Food wasn't great I was told a platter would be shared between two people. On the day it was changed to be shared by three people, picture attached to show what three people had to share. The service was even worse. There was jugs of cheap nasty watered down sangria on table when we arrived, which none of us liked and two bottles of prosecco between us all. I asked for cocktails, we waited around 35 minutes for our first cocktail. We were never asked again if we would like another drink, so I asked for another round of cocktails which came another 30 minutes later. So all in all we had two cocktails each and a very poor portion of food. I asked for the manager whom did apologies and gave us extra wine. But to be fair we just wanted to leave as it was so miserable in there. We were told to keep the noise down on two occasions. Do not take a booking for a hen party and ask them to keep the noise down.. Im not one to leave reviews but I just don't want another party to be let down the way we did the service is very poor.

Fabulous experience!! Wonderful food and Harris provided exceptional service. Highly recommend. I’ve actually amended this review slightly as once we left the venue following our bottomless brunch we realised that not a single person was remotely drunk/tispy. Including those who do not drink normally so the drinks should have definitely had an impact. The cocktails must have been incredibly watered down. If you’re doing the brunch, I highly recommend you stick with bottled wine/prosecco. Having an entirely sober group of hens following a bottomless brunch was not on the agenda! 🤣 Everything else still stands, great service and lovely food. Just way too weak drinks if you’re wanting to get a party going.

I can't believe this place is still open...

I’ve been here 3 times over the past few months for birthdays and it’s been a shambles every time. Watered down drinks, random bills added on, hair in food, snotty receptionist etc. On one occasion we were told we couldn’t have our £700 table to due a ‘big event’ that was on, not the mention the blonde girl on the desk was fully arguing with one of my friends because she asked when she asked how long it would be. On another occasion, there was glass all over the booth from the night before. Not realising it was glass one of my friends wiped it off and cut all her fingers. To apologise, zenn offered us a few bottles of wine which we took but they then tried to charge us at the end for the bottles they’d offered! Me and the 15 other people on the 3 occasions we were here gave Zenn the benefit of the doubt but not one of us will be coming back here.

Absolutely fabulous venue, we arrived at 11am and left at 730pm the service was outstanding Danielle was amazing alday. Best bottomless brunch in Liverpool 18 of us to look after and not a single complaint, every single person had a great time we were well looked after would highly recommend.

We ate in the terrace and from we arrived the staff were an absolute nightmare. We only got 1 drink and a meal and had about 5 different waiting staff which we had to constantly ask for. Food wasserved with no cutlery and the portions were very poor. I was served sour wine and then charged double the price for a drink that I complained about. Service charge for £12 which is alot for poor service.

Do not be fooled "like I did" by the ZEN name. It's a place for mostly teenagers and people who are looking for a place to get laid. Loud and bad music, you can't have a conversation at all. We came and escaped quickly.

Layton is absolute angel, so lovely and helpful and the accent makes it 10000% times better.

Harris was really lovely, however the service was really slow and don’t think it was necessarily down to him. The food was quite mediocre, with some things being undercooked or cold.

Had bottomless brunch for 19 girls, server Jess wow. She was incredible she did not stop for us, everyone was amazed at how well she did. We all had so many drinks and all had a lovely time. Thankyou jess!

Group of 8, atmosphere is really good, music is great but long wait for food and when food did arrive was waiting 20-30 minutes for each dish to arrive. Some of my party finished before I got any of my food. Cant fault our server as he did everything he could to keep us happy. Would return for drinks and atmosphere but wouldn’t choose to eat here again

Best Food, best Service by Harris

Brilliant brunch! We came here on a Saturday for a Hen Do and we had a great time. The food was absolutely delicious and plenty of it too, it’s one platter between 4. Service was perfectly timed for drinks so we had more than enough during the time we had. Sangria on arrival was lovely. Definitely recommend!

Food was really not good, crispy beef was genuinely inedible, sushi was ok. No service, had one drink when we sat down and then apart from bringing food did not see any staff for 2hr. One staff member was stood at bar drinking (not sure if it was alcohol. Music was too loud & intense smoke machine. Will defo not be returning.

We came to Zenn for the food via First Table, hence I'm only focusing on this. The service was very good, and the wait staff were incredibly helpful and attentive. The food itself was a little bland. The wagyu beef was lukewarm, and the chicken satay was a little dry. The truffle chips also lacked flavour. The worst was the dessert - the so-called Mille Feuille had two layers of pastry, and the filling of coconut and mango appeared to be completely tasteless. All in all, not the worst, but certainly not the best. That said, the atmosphere was pleasant with great music. I recommend it for drinks and a night out, rather than a meal out.

Came here for my wife’s 40th and was amazing from start to finish. Excellent service from Leighton and Haz would definitely come again.

Would not go again!!! The Service was shocking!! Arrived for our bottomless brunch at 7:40 and got asked what cocktails we wanted, got sangria also as everyone gets which had strawberry’s in and we told them we was allergic! Then we waited 50 minutes before receiving our first cocktail, that we had to ask for two more times again!! It was not even busy!! The bottomless brunch is only 90 minutes long and costs £45 and in a hour of being there and the food coming and us only having 30 minutes left, we received ONE cocktail! We then got the cocktail and ordered another straight away! We stayed an extra hour without anyone telling us to leave or to stay, we just assumed for the time wasted they let us have longer. Even in the 3 hours there we did not receive enough drinks as you should in a bottomless or would in other places!! We then got the bill and paid £20 deposit before coming so had £70 left to pay, The bill was £176 as it was all added up separately and incorrectly! After speaking to the server it got corrected but the whole experience was definitely not worth it and the service we received was awful! We had to keep calling a server over as no one seemed to come over in the whole 3 hours there! Definitly will not return!

We came for my friends 21st birthday! The food was amazing and everything was perfection. BUT the birthday girl had to wait 40 minutes for a pornstar martini and we asked on three different occasions when the drink would be at the table and had no solid response. She then had to go to the bar and complain to get her drink. The music was super loud and we had to shout at each other to have a conversation. We were then kicked off the table, they advised that we had until 9:25 to leave and the meal started at 7:30. Multiple members of staff came to tell us we had to leave and we were then kicked off the table at 9:15.

A lovely place that’s severely understaffed. Cracking food and atmosphere that was let down by a lack of good staff. One waiter with a mop head who was amazing running around doing everything whilst the manager and an Asian waiter standing about either the host desk or the pass doing as little as possible. Food was terrific but let down by slow service and a manager shouting “200” like he was working in a 1980s American restaurant with 14 staff

Disastrous Experience at Zen Liverpool – Completely Let Down I booked a Christmas party at Zen Liverpool on December 7, 2024, for my hardworking team, spending £1100 on a drinks package after our original food booking was canceled due to weather. What was meant to be a night of celebration turned into a total disaster. No Prepared Table: Despite arriving on time, no booths were ready for our group. Lost Drinks Package: The staff misplaced our drinks order, forcing us to buy drinks out of pocket until it was sorted. Seating Issues: We were eventually seated at 11:20 PM at a table for six—completely inadequate for our group of 12. Rude Management: When I raised concerns, I was met with unprofessional and rude behavior, even being told we could leave if we didn’t like it. This poor service ruined the evening, and we had to cut the night short, incurring additional taxi costs. I emailed a formal complaint requesting a refund and apology, but Zen Liverpool has ignored me completely. I’m extremely disappointed and would not recommend this venue to anyone. They’ve shown no regard for customer service or accountability. Avoid Zen Liverpool if you value your time, money, and experience!

The food was actually delicious and not overly priced. We reallyenjoyed it. What let's this place down are 2 things. 1 the attitude of some of the staff. Supposed to be table service but walking off before you've finished ordering.. not bringing drinks that were ordered or bringing multiple drinks instead of one! And secondly the toilets are a disgrace. Urine all over the floor, crowded, mixed gender, people snorting left, right and centre. Just woeful. I also witnessed a guy PUNCH a GIRL in the face before walking out. Half the kids in there looked about 12.... so erm, yeah maybe the chef needs to find a nicer venue to show off his skills

We had a Christmas meal with a few drinks at Zenn and the atmosphere and service was brilliant. I went with the sweet chilli beef starter, fillet steak for main and a salted apple crumble for dessert and all was really tasty. A little difficult to choose what to eat because it the whole menu looked so good. I would recommend this place to anyone and will be back soon to try out some other dishes. 5⭐️ 👌

food was lovely, most staff absolutely rude, one member come behind my sister and said “move out of my way” while she was taking a picture the. acted shocked when my sister said something to them? most staff had a absolute attitude and not very welcoming. Toilet are HORRENDOUS, a woman in there telling the boys to use the toilet closer to the entrance and was all over them telling them to freshen up but rubbing her arms on them, there unisex toilets may i add so girls should be able to go in any toilets! also when girls did go in the woman was banging on the door with a butter knife telling them to hurry up!! pushing and shoving everyone in the toilet which was causing so much trouble. only thing was good was a few lovely staff, and nice food, also £11 for a double vodka and soda water👀

Daughter celebrated her 21st at Zen. No parents allowed😂, but we did help with some of the organisation. Zen was super responsive to requests and really helpful. Daughter had a fantastic and memorable celebration with 20 mates. Thanks Zen you did great 😀👏

Upon arrival staff couldn't hear us and we couldn't hear them as music was to loud. In the dining area it was more like a nightclub. Food was superb and staff very professional and courteous. When leaving the staff in the foyer where on their phones and didn't acknowledge or say thanks for coming, goodnight.

Negative impression! This place must go out of business. we ordered food and the order was lost. We got it in an hour! We requested the status of our order to understand how long it takes! the answer: it was probably taken to another table! After about twenty minutes it was brought to us, without the excuses of the penalty. There was a girl at the next table who was putting on a show and everyone was filming, so did we. But suddenly the bodyguards came to throw us away with the expectation of paying the bill immediately and leaving the place! Great approach! Never to return P.S.The girl served us was extremely polite and kind and nothing to do with security and other peaple who are perfect for other jobs ,but not for this venue

I personally love a bottomless brunch and have tired many across Liverpool but found the service in Zenn to be particularly slow. I constantly felt like I was having to flag down a waiter to ask for a drink. Nobody checked on us to see if the drinks or food where OK. We received 6 drinks in the 1.5hrs which cost us £45 each not including the tip: The food was ok, definitely not like the large portions I’ve had in bottomless brunches. When we received the bill it was £30 over the charge it should have been (including the 12.5% tip they added) Nobody was dancing or having a really good time and vibrant atmosphere. Personally I wouldn’t return I found so many other places in Liverpool to be of better value for money and experience.

Stumbled across this restaurant on a night out and decided to give it a try and my god, we didn’t regret it! The food was delicious, even managed to get a roast dinner. My party all had various dishes from the noodles, to the sharing platter and the spring rolls. The Popcorn was absolutely delicious and something we’ve all never tried before. I’d absolutely recommend the roast dinner. Great atmosphere and beautiful inside. Service was fantastic and absolutely couldn’t fault the place at all.

Fab place if you’re looking to celebrate or just for an evening out that’s a little bit more special.

Not too sure why we were let in and able to buy a lot of drinks if we could not sit down anywhere. When we did sit down we kept getting told to leave in 20 minutes from three different staff members. Then to top it off the floor manager I presume, said to my mum ‘drop the attitude’ when she asked why we couldn’t sit here for longer. Small man with a big ego I suppose… Not too sure who Zenn think they are? Is it supposed to be select? They’re happy to take your money but not happy to provide a decent service. Will not reccomend nor return.

This week I visited Zenn to try their new menu and I was very impressed from the minute I walked through the door! I loved everything about the venue. It’s big, stylish and very spacious. Theres lots of luxurious booths which I’m obsessed with, and there’s a large rooftop space which is perfect for the summer but also has heating and is covered for this time of the year. It’s such a special and versatile venue with a really nice vibe. The food is delicious with a large new Asian Inspired menu to choose from along with Classic Dishes too - I was spoilt for choice. You can try anything from Sushi, Oysters or Steak and everything in between! We tried the Sharing Platter which had Chicken Satay Skewers, Japanese Bon Bon’s, Tempura Prawns, Sticky Beef and Coconut Rice, Prawn Crackers, and a selection of Sushi. This was a perfect combination and a great way to try a selection of food. All of which was delicious, especially the Tempura Prawns and Sushi. We also tried the Oysters and the Bread and Dipping Oil. I’ve never tried oysters before and I was pleasantly surprised. After dinner we had a cocktail and mocktail and explored the venue space including the roof top which was fabulous. It was covered in fairy lights and looked beautiful. The prices are competitive, the service is excellent and you can even book the biggest private booths I’ve ever seen which can come with your own personal hostess. I highly recommend a visit to Zenn, whether it be for a week night treat, a Bottomless Brunch, Sunday Lunch or Afternoon Tea - you are guaranteed a fantastic time!

The best Sunday night tea-time experience I have had. Me and my company had our fill of a meze style Pan-Asian mini and private buffet, complimented with various sweet dishes for dessert. The food in its variation was beautiful, though the zsechuan crispy & sticky chilli beef was in my opinion not as tasty as previously and in the past when I have ordered it. Still, the food was REALLY GOOD. The level of service provided was quite amazing, I cannot fault our treatment from our host during our stay (Macie) who went above and beyond and was very understanding and considerate with the "Lactose Intolerant" company I had in regards to the Pan-Asian style cuisine and the sweet treat desserts provided. Thank you very much ZENN and my host Macie for a brilliant experience. I will no doubt be seeing you again soon - Samuel

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great with a singer on, who was very good, I give three stars for service because when we first got there we had a lovely young lad looking after us but he went home and we got a young girl, you could tell she didn't like her job and didn't want to be there, it hasn't put us off going again because the food was delicious

Unfortunately this would have been a 3/5 but the service at the end topped off the whole experience and it’s dropped to a 2/5. The service from the get go was surly, rude and we were made to feel like inconveniences. They also seem to be focusing heavily on bottomless brunch and hen parties which is fine, but then don’t offer afternoon tea if you a) don’t want to do it and make customers feel like inconveniences and b) have turned the restaurant into a nightclub, it just doesn’t work. We got asked for drinks without being told what came with the afternoon tea or even offered a hot drinks menu, we were kept in the dark of what was actually happening and had to check they knew we were there for afternoon tea and what we were meant to be being served. The food was average with the savoury actually being quite good but the sweet was shop bought and very standard. The image of the afternoon tea was also very different to what we received. We received no soy sauce for the sushi and only 4 sweet items not 5 as displayed. The service at the end when we asked for the bill was very rude. We weren’t checked up on, not asked for more drinks and were made to feel very uncomfortable. Overall not a great experience and we wouldn’t return.

Same dull boring music for the 3 hours I was there. Ordered rare steak, came back well done. It was replaced, but waiter explained that some came out rare and some came out medium. Not really an excuse considering the meal cost 76 pound. Sticky toffee pudding was like cardboard. Portions may as well been a kids meal. Over priced drinks and nothing on draft, all bottles. Toilets was disgusting. Paper all over the floors, half of the taps didn't work. Shabby, really unhelpful staff. Will not be returning

We visited Zenn as the exterior of the building looks so inviting. Inside looks like a seedy 80s nightclub, including tears in the upholstery & sticky surfaces. The staff were friendly & pleasant. “Atmospheric music” was loud & overbearing. The food looks a lot better than its tastes. The meat dishes were completely bland, lukewarm at best and even salt & pepper couldn’t rescue them. The side dishes were the best part of the meal. The salt & chilli chips & special noodles were very nice. Incredibly disappointed with the whole experience. Would neither return nor recommend

We visited recently on a Saturday afternoon and booked the BBQ rooftop menu. We had a great time, the music was chilled and the vibe was wonderful. I was apprehensive that it may be a bit too young of a vibe for us 40+ something's but I was totally put at ease when we arrived and couldn't have been more wrong! With parties of all ages we felt really comfortable. The service from Danielle was attentive, friendly and she helped with recommendations with the food and gave us some great cocktail recommendations too. We ordered some some places, tempura prawns and the calamari - both were cooked perfectly and we enjoyed the halloumi dish too! For mains we ordered the peppered steak - served perfectly Pink like I asked for, and we got the cheeseburger which was also really good. The Cajun wedges Danielle recommended were insanely good too! We would 100% come back on a Saturday afternoon, great staff, great vibe and beautiful rooftop!

Had my baby shower here and can’t speak more highly of the place. So helpful when organising the event for over 60 people, easy to get in touch with and was on hand for all aspects of the event, they even helped with the decorations. Started downstairs with a meal, where we were given the choice of afternoon tea or Sunday roast; both were delicious. There was a live singer which helped create an even better atmosphere. Then afterwards we headed up to the rooftop where I’d hired a DJ and we carried on the party. The staff even brought all my decorations up from the ground floor. After the event the team kept all my belongings safe until I came to collect a few days later, there really was nothing that was too much trouble. Loved it that much I’ve just booked my birthday here. Great venue, great food, great service. Special mention to Rob who was amazing from start to finish.
