Green Chilli in Wellingborough

Decided to try a different Indian takeaway as they were offering 40% off on just eat. What a regret. It was an hour late and saying it had been delivered on the app so we had to call and check in. Can normally get past a late delivery if the food is nice. My rogan josh didn't resemble the colour at all, instead of a reddish colour it was more yellow, very watery. Tasted like nothing. No flavour at all. The onion bhajis were more like supermarket ones and nothing like the homemade ones you'd normally receive from a curry house. I had a cheese nan bread. Incredibly thin and couldn't see or taste any cheese within in. My husbands korma at least had flavour but wasn't nice, chicken was chewy and spicey. Not what you'd expect in a korma. His perswari nan was like Chewing gum in his words. I don't like to leave negative reviews and I like them to be fair and true but honestly would not recommend and will certainly not be returning.

Food very nice but I collected it myself to save 15% and found when I got home it was £5. Cheaper on just eat. That included delivery!! Three Different prices., online menu printed menu and just eat, very confusing. I felt ripped off!

Although the food is good, we feel a little let down. Our last order turned up after 3 hours, when we'd already spoken to them to advise we no longer wanted the order half an hour before it turned up, Green Chilli were really apologetic and offered us a free of charge replacement when we next ordered, low and behold, when we placed the re-order, they told us they wouldn't let us have it free, won't be ordering again. Oh, and funny how they only reply to the kind reviews, which means they don't really care for improvement.

Really disappointed again order wrong such lovely food but can’t get it right. And even questioned it when I called Won’t be returning

Cant speak English. Order wrong, missed a curry so had to go back. First time tried them in year as very bad before. Still charged correct amount though funny that !!

Very quick delivery. King prawn Malaya was 10/10. Definitely would recommend

The man’s famous line… “yes yes 2 minutes my friend… sorry sorry sorry”Would not order from here the owner can not communicate properly waiting over 2 hours, told me that the driver had knocked and no one was in when I was watching from my camera an seen no one… said 7 times after ringing up the driver was 2 minutes away. Hanged up on me, kept me on hold for ages while talking to the driver but not realising I could hear on loudspeaker. Then says he’s in a different town and my postcode can not been seen on maps. Never met a man who lacks communication to a customer and lies… the man had me outside for a total of 15 mins looking for a car the funny thing is the owner was on another call on loudspeaker and the driver didn’t have my food. chicken rock solid, chips hard an cold, rice was microwaved absolutely disgusting place. Never ordering from here again…

We ordered a takeaway from green chilli it was ready on time ,but when we started to eat , it wasn't as good as it used to be , it's been a couple of years since we ordered from them . The chicken Korma was tasteless the meat was tough , the rice seemed under cooked , it wasn't an enjoyable meal and we had guests with us and they felt the same about it , We will not use them any more , if your looking for an Indian meal , go somewhere else, the quality isn't very good .

Unable to state lower than 1. Made an order and had confirmation by email. After waiting an hour Delivery hadn't turned up so called Green Chilli restaurant. I was told there was no order to go out to my address. How can I have a confirmation if you didn't get my order? Not happy

Used to be one of the best Indian takeaways , really gone downhill last couple of years, average food extortionate prices.

I would advise you to download the Green Chilli application on your phone, as sometimes it's easier ordering from the app, as sometimes when they are busy they find it easier to do it this way, plus you can tailor your food to your specifications whether making it more spicier or less spicier etc or letting them know of any food allergies in the see more selection of the application after you have ordered. We always order the same, Chicken Phall, Garlic Chicken 2 x garlic fried rice's, 2 x garlic Naans And 2 chapattis with a side dish of Onion Bhajis and for £25 we think that's fantastic for two main meals, with 2 x rice and sides and delivered to us within 30-45 minutes upon ordering. Good food and not tight on the portions or the meat content. Slightly more expensive than some (less than some others!) Good delivery

I live in Australia and just wish I was able to order from this unassuming great example of a british curry. Every time I return to the shire I pay a visit.

We ordered a takeaway for two. Starters, mains, rice and Naan Breads. It was easy to order online and the food arrived promptly, delivered by a very polite chap. Once opened the food was fresh and hot with a high ratio of meat in the curries. The sauces were tasty and thick and we will definitely order again. Overall good food, great delivery at an excellent price point.

We ordered from here today for the very first time through just eat... We were pleasantly surprised it was due to arrive at 7.30 but arrived at 7.15..usually our food deliveries arrive warm....but this was piping hot...and the taste...well...authentic, original and flavoursome... mixed starter that comes with naan bread, onion pakora light and crispy not oily, Peshawari rice and Tikka meat Bhuna was just right not to spicy hot but full of flavour, I chose the spicy meat curry with potato, onion, coriander and green chilli it was scrumptious with my chapati and meat Biryani... it was not over salted but alittle greasy like it was fried and not steamed... (this was my only complaint) . Being of south Indian origin I am that much more critical of Indian food as my level is high..but I fully recommend and will be happily ordering from The Earls Barton Green Chilli anytime I fancy not cooking a curry at home A well deserved 9/10 it would have been a 10/10 if the Biryani was more like it was oven steamed and not greasy. Thank you to the Chef....Fantastic food.

Great takeaway reasonable prices

Ordered delivery. Told 1 hour rang back after hour and half to be told they couldn't deliver as had not got my telephone number. Previous order missed a naan bread. Food generally good when you can get it.

Waited nearly 3 hours for delivery and we live around the corner, safe to say they have taken our money and we aren't getting food. Avoid

Ordered food at 6.30pm told delivery 7.50pm after 2 calls to restaurant when told 15 more minutes food eventually arrived at 10.45pm after I had gone to bed. Do not use this company

Absolutely vile!! Nearly two hours waiting time from ordering and the order status saying delivered (which it hadn’t been) we called the restaurant we was abruptly told it was on its way and the phone was put down. Another 20mins later we finally had the food! Annoyingly the food was stone cold and totally in edible! Again we call the restaurant to discuss this matter but instead we were talked over interrupted and called names with a very rude nasty attitude! After failing to comply with us we went straight to the online ordering site and spoke to a lovely lady on the phone who still could not get the restaurant to comply! Absolutely vile service vile food and if there was a 0 star option that’s still more than they deserve!! AVOID AT ALL COST THEY ARE THE WORST RESTURANT ONLINE!!!!!

wonderful food, delivered promptly, pershawar nan is superb, so is chicken (tika or tandoori) madras and mushroom rice

Great food but can take a long time to deliver

Lamb madras and spinach rice with a couple of popadum : collected on my way home, £8! Tasted great. Results.

Shocking place every time I order from here something is missing but the last time was the worst order, messed up so they were sending out a new order that never turned up. The staff are very rude and hung up on me many times I asked for my food or a refund and got none of them around 4 hours later I had to then order food from somewhere else. If I could rate no stars I would I will Neva use this place again! Shocking supprised they have any business being as rude as they are.

Very tasty and up to standard. I've tried most of the Indian takeaways in Wellingborough and this one is in the top three. I particularly liked their naan breads - well cooked.

Never had a bad curry from here yet. Chicken tikka dansak is awesome .
