Greek Taverna Artemis in Maidstone

Absolutely the best Greek food I’ve ever eaten! Great quality & quantity. Had to wait a while I’m guessing due to the restaurant being very popular. Delicious food will order again.

Great restaurant, nice food, nice atmosphere.

A real gem, doesn’t look as good as it is from the outside, don’t let that fool you, so worth a visit, only ‘criticism’ was how noisy it was as a lot of tables upstairs which meant it felt slightly too busy. But we’d still go back as the staff and food were superb!

First time here for a group party. The food was amazing, although because our group was the whole of upstairs, the time between dishes was slow. Service was very good and all had a great atmosphere. Will definitely go again, next time maybe try just me and my wife.

Food was absolutely amazing, the waitress was super friendly and helpful answering questions about portion size and what was in certain options, would highly recommend, definitely going to be going again.

Tasty enough overall, however ordered the lamb chops as they came with rice, grilled tomatoes and peppers so I had variation from the other dishes ordered, unfortunately no grilled tomatoes or peppers or rice, just more Greek potatoes.

On a busy night, friendly service and lovely food. Will definitely return!

Excellent Greek Taverna style dining

Have only been for lunch so far but enjoyed it both times. Food is very good and the lunchtime price is very good value. Staff are friendly and atmosphere cosy.

I’ve ate out there in person before and it was actually pretty good, but this order no good and way too expensive. Didn’t get the chips with my order, the lamb skewer was overcooked and dry. More than £20 for two dry skewers a salad with mayo on top for the mix soulvaki? £60 is a lot to spend for what I felt was a very disappointing meal. In the economy order like this not worth man’s time

My order was an hour late, not the restuarant's fault but Just Eats as it said there wasn't any drivers. When my order arrived it was cold, I suspect it had been sat out while waiting for a driver. I microwaved it and unfortunately it was very salty, so much so that I haven't finished it. Over priced - £40 for a starter and main (including the fees) which was cold and unedible. A shame as I use to really rate this place.

What a find!!! We found this little restaurant by accident and am I glad we did, We ordered from the lunch menu, super good value for money . One pork kebab and one chicken kebab, served with hummus and chips . WOW 🤩 when the food came out it was amazing so tasty and fresh, The staff are super friendly and welcoming, and we could ask for better service. Will definitely be returning

The service was absolutely shocking! The waitress was the rudest I’ve ever met. Her tone was so aggressive that we thought she might nearly punch us! When we asked about the menu, she kept rolling her eyes—really??! When I asked for lots of ice, she brought me a full pint, which made me think she was unhappy with my request. At the end, we tried to catch her attention for the bill, but had no luck. I went to the bar to ask for the bill and to see if I could pay there since I didn’t want my family to pay. She told me I had to wait because she was busy sorting out the fridge. Really? This was not a nice experience at all. I won’t be coming to your restaurant anytime soon.

I’d describe this place as little Greece! Loved it. Food was lovely, service excellent!

ordered spent over £60 for a birthday meal the hot meze platter came with no meat in it so £26 for some tatziki and olives! called restaurant they can't do anything unless we go and collect not great service! contact just eat apparently! not very helpful

Lovely traditional Greek restaurant, great food, wines and cocktails, lovely friendly service, lively atmosphere without being intrusive. Good place whether its dinner for two, family or group of friends, will definitely go back often.

Lovely little gem , came here with my mum for lunch and we shared some starters between us every dish was absolutely delicious and our waitress was absolutely lovely. We will definitely be coming back soon

What a fabulous find, don't be put off by the outside, the place is excellent. Wife had lamb chops I had chicken souvlaki what lovely meals I can't fault the food or atmosphere. Try it, you will not be disappointed.

A small restaurant but not cramped ,the staff were very friendly and helpful. All our food was delicious. The prawn sagnaki and feta wrapped in filo pastry were superb starters. We had beef stifado and lamb kleftiko as our mains. I would recommend all of these dishes . A very good evening out.

This is the only Greek restaurant in Maidstone and has a great choice of food to pick from. Me and my wife had a very good meal there and highly recommend it

Good quality food in a quaint small restaurant. Went there for a quick lunch whilst doing a bit of shopping, and the lunch menu looked tantalising and good value. But the lunch menu was not available, so instead had to go with a full main. Had a 45 minute wait, which the manageress apologised for. There was a sign in Greek on the chalk board, which when translated by Google said "if you want to eat good food you must first learn to wait", so I guess we learned to wait. A bit steep in price, but portions generous, food fresh and good quality.

It looks deceptively simple from the outside, like a hole in the wall. The board outside supported this by offering lunch from 8.95£. Once inside we realised because it’s weekend that offer was not applicable. Should have seen that coming. The regular menu was more in the 15-20£ per dish range. The food was really good though. It tasted fresh and was obviously coming straight off the stove. We took a chicken souvlaki. The grilled chicken was tender and well seasoned. And two sauces on the side - tzadziki and a delicious spicy red one dont recognise. There were some greens on the side topped with a lovely salad sauce. A vegetarian platter, pretty simple, with an unnecessary giant grilled tomato and grilled pepper andA not very interesting rice. But the hummus, the tzatziki were among the best I ever tasted. Awesome spanakopita as well. Surprisingly no salad with it, and just one olive. But I would order it again. We ordered pita on the side, since it didn’t come with any of the dishes. For some reason it was fried. Meh. I would not order it again. We also ordered fries on the side. Totally recommend. Fresh, hot and seasoned with some spice blend. Last of all there was a lamb kleftiko, which to our surprise was lamb and potatoes in a soupy stew without any rice or bread to soak up stuff. It might have been good but it was not to our palate. The lamb was tender but tasted too smelly, maybe unseasoned is a better word. So will I go back? For sure. I still need to try that lunch offer. I feel like the wrap and fries will be amazing.

Lovely little place in Maidstone with high quality food and brilliant service. I went on a Friday night and it was really busy so definitely recommend booking. A large group was upstairs and I was downstairs. There is great decor and feeling to this place. The lady serving us was very attentive, always checking back on us to ensure we were ok and when we were ready to order. Once we had finished there was no rush for the bill even though they were busy. The food was lovely. Menu has a lot of choice but I chose chicken gyro and pork from their specials menu. Lots of flavour to both meats along with a little bit of pitta and nicely spiced chips. I would go back here and would love to try more of the menu.

We had a family get together. The food is excellent and the service outstanding. I really appreciated the attention paid to my grandkids and the humour of the waitresses. Well worth a visit

One of my favourite restaurants, although certainly not the cheapest. We tried their special Gyros Philidelphia dish and it was beautiful. I only just returned from a week in Corfu and had better Greek food in Maidstone... work that out.

Wow! After recently returning from Greece and being a lover of their food we were double impressed with the quality and the specials on offer too! Staff were great and I could eat there again very soon if I wasn't off to Cyprus next week 😅 Top staff, waitress was so nice, thank you.

Great food and service with a smile what's not to like!

Visited yesterday for dinner and was amazed at how the high quality of food and personal service from the waitress hadn't changed since my previous visit years ago. Exceptional food with plates full, for all main and Meze choices. Sides are actual sides, with a big plate of delicious chips or alternative. It really feels like your stepping into a Greek restaurant in Greece, with a warm family feel and very attentive staff who are passionate about their food and your experience in their restaurant. 5 out of 5!
