Great Wall Restaurant in Newark and Sherwood

We recently had a takeaway from here for daughters birthday. Pleasant entrance and friendly staff both on the phone and at the counter. Sign saying phone orders only, you can pay by credit card. We had a large order with several dishes. Most were really good, the crispy aromatic duck wasn't quite crispy enough for me but the sweet and sour chicken in batter were excellent. Will use again.

Fantastic food always fresh and hot. Not the cheapest but very tasty food. Would recommend when you fancy being lazy.

This isn't quite our nearest Cantonese take-away but we usually come back every time! Friendly service and decent value for money as well.

I have no idea what has happened to this once great Chinese takeaway. Alarm bells rang when we saw a tiny box and about 5 prawn crackers in a bag. I’m disgusted that I paid £25 for what was a poor excuse of mush. The poor dog got given most and even turned his nose up! The chicken in the mushroom was like it had been heated or defrosted in the microwave and just added a lot of mushrooms and juice it was swimming with no taste. The lemon chicken was like it was reheated and chewy, The very small bag of chips were a mix of fries and chunky which were cold. Three of us eating different dishes and not one of us enjoyed or ate the entire meal. The rice and chow main was ok. I live on a budget and this was a treat night for me my son and a friend, what a spoiler when I have alway said how lovely their food was but then again I am going back about 5-8 years ago it was 5 star! But even so I think it was about 6 months ago we last had one and that was ok. I shall not be returning or recommending again the whole place is looking tired and run down! Such a shame !

Sorry to say food was sub standard, cold chips, chewy duck and not great sauce. After seeing the other reviews I was hopeful, but alas very poor.

Was a regular customer once aweek take away night but never again ordered at 7:10 rang up at 8:35 told that they just cooking it now and then tried to say we didn't order till 8 ish also it was difficult to get to our house we live 2 mile away they never struggled on any of the other occasions was more mad that they tried to blame us never again your loss must be doing well if you don't need regular local customers

Esta es una de las mejores experiencias que he tenido. La acogida es cálida sin exagerar. El ambiente es suave y relajado. Pero lo más destacado es la comida, que es fácilmente el mejor si comen en el restaurante o para llevar.Comimos aquí regularmente y nunca me ha decepcionado.Bien merece la pena, si viaja por la autopista A1 y quieres algo mucho mejor de la autopista.

La Gran Muralla, Weston familiar agradable restaurante chino es fácilmente accesible desde la A1 (norte y sur cerca de Sutton Trent y Tuxford en el Old Great North Road en Weston. Una cálida bienvenida le espera como anfitriones y propietarios, Alex y Fay Wan te guiará por el delicioso menú. La comida es siempre muy bien presentado fresco y sabroso. Una buena variedad y selección de platos. Nunca me ha decepcionado y las celebraciones del Año Nuevo Chino son siempre lo mejor del año.

Siempre un excelente y amable bienvenida de Alex y su equipo y un servicio excelente, la comida es muy delicadamente preparado (por, creo, Alex es madre, que solía correr el restaurante). muy satisfactorio y extenso menú (salida su sitio web www.greatwall-restaurante.co. uk), y realmente eficaz y bien de precio (15 libras) "todo lo que pueda comer" buffet ( lunes, miércoles, jueves).El servicio no es apresurada, y no te sientes que estás siendo 'empujado por' libre su mesa. mesa toallitas limpiado o cambiado (para nuestra vergüenza habitual) después de que el plato principal. estado aquí por hijo 21 st, y para muchos otros comidas; también ofrece un servicio.
