It's a bog standard chinese takeaway, not bad, not great

I chose this restaurant, as my regular one was closed. Always a little unsure when getting food from somewhere new, as we always have a complex and varied order, and taste can vary in my house. I am extremely glad, that we ordered from great wall, after looking on Google for highly rated places, honestly it wasn't the highest rated, but I think those that had a negative experience should try again. The food was excellent, well prepared, very good portion sizes and accurate. The service was with a smile and welcoming. The price was slightly higher than we are accustomed to, but don't mind paying more for a quality product and it was very good. I highly recommend trying great wall, should have taken pictures of the food but it was very good. P.s. they do take card payments.

Placed an order and it never came and after 2 hours they cancelled my order saying they couldn’t reach me when i never go the call from them

Placed an order because i was feeling far too ill to cook, waited over an hour for delivery only for them to cancel it. Apparently they tried to call me but they clearly never did as i never got a call and sat with my phone the entire time.

Placed an order, and the prawn crackers I'd ordered were missing when it arrived. So rang the takeaway, and they told me they'd deliver them. But would take an hour. The prawn crackers didn't arrive. As a loyal customer, that orders regularly from this takeaway, I feel unappreciated. And won't be ordering from here in the future.

We love food from here, but receiving a Christmas card and decoration absolutely made my night last night - thank you so much!

Brilliant food, great portions and very cheap

Even the kids loved it! Everything was perfect and they did everything we asked e.g certain veggies missed from certain meals - will definitely order again

Absolutely disgusting.. Ordered crispy chili beef and it was completely inedible! The clue is in the title crispy.. it arrived and the beef was like eating a sloppy chewy mess. There was nothing crispy about it!! The actual sauce swamped on it tasted of nothing but vinegar. The carrots were raw, solid raw. A complete waste of money!!! I wouldn't even award it one star based on that dish. We also ordered crispy duck. A portion that would make a mouse still hungry. It was cold and again in edible.. it reminded me cardboard. All I can say Great Wall is that it's your loss as I will never, ever give you money again!!! Sometimes it can be ok, others it's not worth the money and it's just not worth taking the risk. Give it a go once maybe.. but if it's an off day for great wall then you might as well miss the eating stage and go straight to the bin. Just to add.. how can you even get rice wrong???

This used to be a real good takeaway prior to tonights meal the last 2 meals have been below par Tonight it arrived lukewarm (only live 1 minute away )and the chips were refried .The texture was just like crisps than chips No more for me

Not a bad little chinese at all.we are lucky to live so close. Would have been 5 stars but had one bad dish where the beef diddnt seam too good. Wouldnt let this put you off though everything else has bin spot on.

Been ordering from here for around 10 years, it was always great hence our repeat orders, just recently the standards have slipped dramatically. Tonight was the last straw, beef and garlic smelled and tasted only of fish. Crispy chicken strips was just unidentifiable random meats, called to complain. They send a replacement of the mains out 45 minutes later at which point the starters and sides are ruined with no apology, refund or replacement of food that's gone cold. In that time I had thrown up twice. We didn't eat the replacement, not much point when sat here with stomach cramps and pouring with sweat, I only had one mouthful of the original and all I can taste and smell is rotten fish. Please don't waste your money or health on this place.

Actually amazed this place has got as many poor reviews as it has. Over the past couple of years must've used Great Wall some 3/4 times and never has it disappointed. Value, generous portions, everything ordered full of flavour. Little falling off to be had.

Ordered from here tonight,thought we would try somewhere different and I can honestly say it was the worst Chinese Iv ever had,tasteless dry th lot and worse of all £16.70 absolutely disgusting and will not be goin there again
