Great Wall in West Lothian

I mean it tastes OKAY, not terrible, but it’s absolutely soaked in grease. It’s dripping wet. it’s slop. Food was barely warm, ended up cold quickly. For the money you can definitely find somewhere with better standards.

Waited more than 1 hour advised by just eat which was fine. Food arrived freezing. Called shop & told to get in touch with just eat who only returned half the money as per cold food policy. Wouldn’t order from here again. £31 and Full meal in the bin

Beef was a pale color and didn’t look right, tasted a bit different. Chicken fried rice was good.

Delicious food as always. Never had a problem with Great Wall.

Munch box was lovely for ordering at 10:30pm. Came very quickly and was hot and fresh.

Salt and chilli chips were fab and they also put extra chillis in curry sauce when I requested - which made it nice and spicy!

Bought 4 dishes here on 14 12 24 every one was put in the bin as the taste and presentation was horrible Only good thing was the spring rolls Chicken curry had a strange taste and colour chicken was not fresh The bbq ribs were in a watered down sauce and the chow mein had a strange taste and appearance I only went here due to the usual chinese takeaway I use in whitburn was very busy I should have known better when all the other takeaways in whitburn were busy but this one was quiet The decor has not changed inside here for 20 years and the full place looked dirty and unkept even the main door did not open properly I will never ever buy from here again

Extremely disappointed. We waited 1hr 50mins for our food and had to chase up 3 times. Poor service and won’t order from here again

Special chow mein had a really awful processed taste. Possibly from the - what I presume to be tinned - water chestnuts. Meat was over cooked and generally just not enjoyable. Chicken chow mein was nice. Wontons were well filled but very small. Disheartening overall but would try something different next time!

Sauce tasted of vinegar, fried rice smelled of fish! Salt & chilli chips were ok but considering taste & smell of the rest of the meal, it put me off eating it.

The food was excellent, delivery driver was personable even after my dog wanted cuddles. Only criticism is that i requested a sweet n sour sauce but received 2 curry sauces. Will definitely use again.

Food came early and was very fresh. Everything was delicious - the prawn toast unfortunately was a little bit burnt and hard but that’s the only thing that let it down. Would definitely order again.

first time using just eat , but not the first time eating from the great wall , food was delicious and ready for us getting thru from harthill.

Something about both sauces tasted really off. Was really looking forward to a takeaway as a treat, really dissapointed with the flavour and the wait time. barely touched the entire takeaway. Won't be ordering again

First time off using this chinese , first class imho thanks.I have used this Chinese again and again and again , I have only one thing to say class in a glass thanks . Very very poor quality of food, ended up throwing away 3/4 of it, tasted of grease and chicken balls very dripping with grease. Not amused

It’ll take some beating for my to find a worse Chinese. Genuinely the worst I’ve ever had! The worst of the full order was the beef with vegetables. The beef genuinely was like something in a pot noodle and the grey water it came in was inedible.

Main courses were poor quality. The "beef" didn't have flavour of beef and was very of a mushy consistency. Curry sauce was flavour and tasteless, not spicy as stated. The black bean sauce was extremely watery and again mushy "beef". The sides were the most decent and edible. Will not be returning my custom unfortunately.

Very watery and quite tasteless

Food was stale, not convinced that the meat in my special curry was even fresh. The chips tasted like they’d been sitting out for hours under a heat lamp and somehow tasted off. Barely ate much of it but even after an hour or two my stomach felt a bit upset. Fairly certain something in that meal was off. Won’t be ordering from here again, I don’t think.

The satay was like soup. Watery sauce that tasted nothing like any satay I’ve ever eaten. The kung po tasted like some weird bbq sauce. Genuinely one of the worst Chinese takeaways I’ve had.

Nice food delivered fairly quickly. Slightly cool but 30 secs in micro solved that. Good to see a decent Chinese on the books again

We've had food loads of times from here, and usually it's excellent, however tonight's was not great, everything had been way over cooked and was very dried out. Hopefully just a one off as we usually love it.

I had ordered a beef curry and the beef was possibly boiled 🤢 the sauce was very water and didn’t even taste like a Chinese curry. I was unable to eat any of it after tasting it. It was awful.

the salt and chilli chips and chicken was lovely and crispy and the spring rolls were excellent and tasted homemade. the downfall was the sauces. we ordered satay prawns and an extra portion of satay sauce and both were so watery and bland and the gravy wasn’t chinese gravy and just straight up beef bisto 😂 never ever in my life have i ordered gravy from a chinese and received the stuff i’d put on a roast. very decent chinese just extremely dry as we couldn’t stomach using either of the sauces.

Spare ribs were either over cooked or reheated. They were so dry and hard it was impossible to eat them. Couldn't eat the prawn toast either. Tasted like old fish. The only thing that was good was the chicken fried rice. Sorry, but true.

The delivery time was well over an hour, and the food cane within the estimated time. However, the food that we got was cold, the chicken was dry and tough like an old boot, and even the chips were chewy like card board.

Ordered large rice and chips were delivered, so didn’t get what I paid for and overpaid for cold chips .. chicken was over cooked couldn’t wait 20 mins for a replacement as waited an hour for delivery no offer if refund for the wrong order person on phone hung up.. posted on social media how poor the service was and the quality of food.. next time offer a refund rather than delivering something cheaper than was ordered to profit your business…
