Have been in the place before and it's be brilliant that's why I went back today. Firstly couldn't pay with card,then was told there was no rolls. Put order in ask the girl how much it would be so to make sure I have enough money as no card payment she said £11. Ordered bangalore with cream cheese was told no cream cheese. They also forgot my granddaughter toast and Nutella really wasn't to happy with the service today. I do understand things do go wrong. Also when I payed for it was told it was £15 ,so just aswell I had enough money.

I’m never one to leave a review and never have I left a complaint against a business , especially not a local one but here we are. Myself, my partner and my 2 month old daughter came in on Wednesday after hearing great reviews of the food and staff in this cafe. We were politely seated and then we ordered our drinks first, 5 minutes later we ordered our food, I ordered a burger, I ordered mine without a tomato and sauce, and I explained to the girl I cannot have them, this is purely down to my dislike for them and personal reasons. She took note of this on the iPad she put the order through on and actually asked me another time to clarify, 15 minutes passed and still no drinks , but I didn’t complain as working in customer service you know people are only human and mistakes happen, so our food came and we politely asked for our cola we had ordered and I noticed the error with my burger - having the sauce and tomato. It was no big deal I simply told another server the problem and they politely offered to fix this for me. They came back and explained I’d have to change my fries as they were chilli and had tomato through it , this is the point I realised they assumed my can’t have tomatoes or sauce as an allergy. Which maybe I should of clarified it wasn’t an allergy but for other reasons but I’ve never had to over explain myself ever when ordering from any establishment I’ve as normally in most businesses they ask “any allergies” if they wanted clarity on t”any issue. Regardless , I made no fuss and changed my chips no problem, this was all done politely and within two seconds. Moments later , another member of staff approached me and I naively enough believed it was going to be an apology which I was prepared to say “it’s okay” to. Instead I was met with a woman who immediately, based off her facial expressions was not happy. She instantly started questioning me on my order and tried to imply I ordered wrong., no matter how many times I explained that I did order it without sauce and tomato , this very rude member of staff proceeded to go on and on about my order , I was gobsmacked and began stuttering and stumbling over my words, it was like I was being cross examined in court - no exaggeration. I looked to my Partner with tears in my eyes asking to go as I was going to have a panic attack as the woman just would not stop. I had to leave and left in tears and my partner paid for his meal. I ordered something and they got the order wrong and here I was, with my family being bombarded as if In interrogation over my order. Never in any establishment have I experienced this, even if a customer is wrong , this is definitely not the definition of customer service I certainly know of, but the fact it was definitely their mistake and they had the audacity to come over and harass me whilst with my newborn is shameful. I had actually just complimented how good the food was (having tasted my Partners). This person had no people skills at all. I never complain when mistakes happen or when sometimes staff come across rude as I know people can have personal issues going on&these things happen but the lady who approached me , chose to come out and upset me as she was clearly never coming out to be nice and friendly but trying to accuse me of ordering wrong. It’s not justifiable and very despicable , especially given the fact I am clearly a new mother and was with my family. And this woman could see I was overwhelmed with her actions and upset but dismissed this and continued - I have never encountered this sort of nastiness ever. The order was wrong, I made no complaint , I politely said&it was sorted and they were going to fix it and this member of staff chose to come out and intently caused anxiety and stress for no reason. I have always made a point in supporting local businesses and for the first time ever , I can say I will never be back. Being in this line of work(hospitality) as a former cabin crew member, I could not imagine treating another human this way especially it being your error.

Staff completely embarrassed my son and daughter in law with my 2 month old granddaughter due to refusing to change an order that they got wrong. Such a sad way to conduct your customer service think the member of staff need some training.

One of the best place to eat i ordered a no 5 chicken burger oh my goodness Burger was delicious hot juicy and to die for I normally don’t say anything but I was so happy finally I have find a place where I can enjoy my food and burger was yummy and satisfied my taste buds Chef made sure our food was fresh tasty and delicious I am going to try there protein milk shakes next time they come in different flavours

Came in today with kids for a bite for lunch, The macaroni was better tasting than any other restaurant in Irvine, loved the fries too. The food was served in a reasonable time. Customer service was great too Would come back 😊

Been twice now for lunch each time fully satisfied. Skin on Salt and Chilli Fries are amazing. Looks like I'll slowly be working my way through the menu. Staff are all really nice as well which makes a difference.

Slow service, staff not interested in customers and the way the dark haired young girl spike to us was disgusting, "if you want, anything come up to desk" rather snarky, not a good image of customer service, we will not be frequenting here again and before you post a rather rude reply accusing me of lying, send your staff to college in sure the college would oblige in teaching them some customer service skills, also before telling me not to come back under your breath not worry we won't frequent this dump hole again.

I was in here a week and a bit ago for Breakfast and it was amazing. The best bacon I have tasted in a long time! Not to mention that the staff are friendly and helpful and the Traybakes are 10/10- Will definitely be back for a Gray's Kitchen Breakfas! :)

I ordered a toastie with ham and lentil soup. The soup was served to me cold. I dipped my toastie in it a few times and had a spoonfuls attempting to eat it as I am not the type to send food back. However I couldn’t continue eating it so I asked for it to be warmed up. The waitress returned to my table several minutes later, laughed, and told me that the soup had been left on the stove and was never turned on. Who knows how long the soup was sitting but I was horribly ill for two days after this.

A new business and a brave move to expand in the current market, it was very busy when visited, we were served very quickly and food service was excellent The food was freshly made and not supplied by a freezer truck, the menu was enlightening for the area. The only professional constructive advice I have is you cannot cut back on portion control when your costs go up.

Fantastic. Went in for a collection 4 different burgers four different side of fries. And a loaded fries. I’m a chef and I know that’s a pain in th A of a order lol but honestly. The best food I’ve had in Ayrshire in a very very long time. I was sitting there with my number 6 bbq double beef burger onion rings bacon and salt n chilli fries n curry and I could hardly move after half of it lol. Everyone else including our friends who had also been in the night before loved everything. Can’t wait till next week to be back if I can wait that long. . Fresh hot well made food. Should be proud of that food and the place in general looks clean well set up. Brilliant 10/10

Breakfast was good ,we ordered breakfast for two that cames with a cup of tea each good value for money tasted good and was very quick to come out waited a few minutes to get a seated. Seem 50/50 as some other table waited much longer for the same order when we entered the restaurant together when it's busy food ordered back up very quickly but we were lucky everything went smoothly.

Dissapointed if I’m really honest. Staff are inexperienced and don’t seem to have been given enough training. The manager dealing with front of house really needs to be stepping in and guiding the young staff rather than standing behind the counter taking cash. Coffee served was Luke warm, food took a long time. I know it is busy but the kitchen should be much more prepared and if food is taking such a long time I’d recommend that the manager speak to their customers to let them know or even try offer out free refreshments whilst we wait. We over heard other disgruntled customers complaining about how long the staff were taking to take orders and how long the food was taking to arrive. I know rent can be expensive in the Rivergate mall but if this place is to continue and trade well they must invest more into the kitchen staff instead of the 4 or 5 front of house they had. Some experienced servers would have dealt with customer dissatisfaction before the food arrived.

Wasn't impressed with the service for takeaway, tiny menu at the till which we couldn't see as dine in customers were paying. Waitress couldn't tell us any items that were avaliable for the special, and just had no service manners. Ended up leaving and going elsewhere. The owner seemed nice though.

Got the 2 for £10 sundaes online. I really enjoyed the white chocolate blondea sundaes and my friend said her sundaes was good aswell. Really nice ice cream. The driver was lovely as always, he goes the extra mile to bring the order to my door instead of the front entrance. Always smiling! Absolutely recommend this place!
