Just spent a brilliant time at the Christmas grotto Natures Burrow at Grassmere Garden Centre. Can’t recommend highly enough. The elves were amazing and so patient with the little ones.

Pretty good garden centre , but the cafe has nosedived. I realise people are looking for ways to save money but i expect my coffee to be more than an inch deep and hot. It used to be ok , but just recently its gone downhill bigstyle.

Excellent cafe. Food was good, and hot. There was a slight wait due to it being well attended. Prices are reasonable as well. I recommend it.

Cosy little coffee shop to sit for a catch up or hide away with the laptop to get some work done. Good selection of cakes and coffees. Mom is a particular fan of the Belgian waffle. I come here often and the staff are always friendly and accommodating.

Tried to get a table for a coffee after a super long mountain hike. Waited to be seated a good 10 minutes, nobody came or apologised and said won't be too long. Asked to sit sit outside, was told no, without a hint of a smile . Bad customer service, wasn't even that busy.

Visited garden centre on a Saturday late morning early afternoon. Busy but the two girls working non stop are polite and told customers there was a small delay for food . We ordered tea for two and a slice of cake only took 10 mins to arrive . Shame the idiot on the table beside us couldn’t understand the girls was rushed off there feet .Sarcastic comments aren’t needed And to be honest he had his bacon sausage egg roll before our tea arrived . Well done girls ignore the comments of small minded people. Highly recommended

Lovely garden centre and they have lots of plants and gifts. Used to love the cafe we went every Sunday. Not anymore they are so slow at cooking the food it took 1hr and a half for the food to arrive. Came into today for my mom's birthday we all had shmoos served by the friendly young girl. Never again mine had what I thought was gone off cream on top. Asked for another without cream and the older lady gave me one unstirred so got a mouth full of power and a telling off saying its not a McDonald's milkshake. I now I used to have one every Sunday so I know what they taste like. Took it away stirred it again definitely the milk was off. Told her the milk was off and she just walked off. So we left and said nothing else then she come out the back with a bottle of milk saying look at it its still in date. I said we'll smell it and was told I was rude when we walked out and then was shout rude at really loud all infront of the other customers. My mom had never had one before and said it tasted a bit funny bit didn't really know what it should of tasted like. It's made her really sick. Told the manager of the shop who was lovely and gave us a refund. I'm sorry but we won't be coming here again in a hurry especially to the cafe until they sort out the staff. I hope she read this thank you for ruining my mom's birthday.

Visited Grasmere for the first time in around 40 years and would say many things haven’t changed much ... which is actually lovely! A nice change from the carbon copy big chain centres and a far better range of plants in terms of quality and price. All the staff we encountered were very pleasant including in the cafe. We had a light bite which was served quickly, was good value and tasted great. Will be back.

Called in a few weeks ago and I admit I did mean to review this garden centre then with possibly a 4 star review as although it is quite a small centre for the area we found a good selection of goods at very reasonable prices and the staff were helpful and although we brought a few items we promised ourselves a further visit to buy more Christmas decorations. However on our visit today we found on entering the shop three other customers, a couple and a single male all, would imagine, in their mid twenties and non of them wearing any form of mask I also noticed that although the two members of staff present had masks they were wearing them under their chin making them totally useless. Sorry at this time when we hope we are coming to the end of this pandemic this sort of behaviour is appalling and makes this a centre l will not be visiting again. There are far to many other garden centres locally to risk this sort of behaviour. Very poor show.

My husband and I called in today while travelling for a bite to eat having made the effort to support a smaller business, as business owners ourselves, rather than a large food chain. Upon arrival at your store we followed direction instruction signs wearing our masks using sanitiser and approached the cafe area to look at the menu as I have several food allergies to check the food options before taking up a table which we understand would then have to be sanitised. We were immediately approached by an older lady serving who proceeded to scold us in an aggressive and loud tone in front of other patrons about lifting a menu (we had apparently missed one on a wall outside) she then proceeded even after my apology and explanation about my allergy and this oversight in my part as I am myself dyslexic, to continue to repeatedly scold us in front of other customers which we found extremely unprofessional and embarrassing. When we turned to leave given this embarrassment we again heard this staff member loudly voice 'Really?! Really?!' as we walked away. We ended up at a services station down the road extremely upset by this incident and hope this review will serve as a professional development opportunity for this staff member. We appreciate the stresses of covid 19 and had acknowledged our own oversight so appreciate the same.

Despite living in Walsall, I’d never seen this garden centre before. We visited on a very rainy day, so probably didn’t get the most of our experience, but will return in the better weather. The garden centre had a good selection of plants and ornaments. There was an aquatics section but it was all locked up due to understaffing. The cafe was busy despite the bad weather. Prices were VERY reasonable! The lady in the cafe was lovely and very friendly. I’d have liked a dairy free milk option but it was ok, we had the jasmine tea which was tasty. Some vegan options would have been great, and would encourage us to spend more money. The sofas were super cosy to sit on!

There was a lovely, relaxing atmosphere to eat our gateau and drink our cappuccino in , after we had had a lovely browse around the plants and bought a few. The garden centre is very pleasant to walk around but the cafe we found the food quite average. My daughter had a cheese sandwich and the cheese looked like to had been sliced so thick she didn’t want to eat it and I don’t blame her. My tuna sandwich the bread was a little dry. Overall food ok but wouldn’t rush to go back for food but happy to have a mooch in the shop as some nice things to buy

Came here by chance to escape the rain as we were driving by.Did the normal thing which was ending up in the café.Surprisingly it was quiet on our early noon visit.Decided to try the lovely, fish & chips, the dinner was nice, just the silly sachets of tartar sauce were awkward to open. The cheese & broccoli bake with chips & salad were equally tasty. The hot chocolate drinks washed the meal down a treat. The best plans are the unmade plans when it comes to visiting here.

Grasmere is a lovely little garden centre between Brown hills and the A5. Always has a good range of both indoor and outdoor plants ,a fair size aquatic centre and a super gift shop. There's a lovely coffee shop which is a favourite if ours for a cuppa and some home made cake. Also a good range of tools. Parking is free and it gets very busy at weekends and lunchtimes.

Usually come here for plants and more recently for rockery stones etc and they are always competitively priced. The other day decided to pop in for a coffee with a friend. There is a decent menu all at very reasonable prices as well as specials on the board. We only had a coffee but it was large and came with a complimentary biscuit. The seating includes some comfy sofas to relax on as well as the more formal tables to eat at. Think I might return to the cafe and try something for lunch.

What a disappointment. Ordered southern fried chicken burger, the smallest one I have ever seen, served on a massive bun, not even a full lettuce leaf, tiny bit of tomatoe, however enough chips to feed four people, huge & very dry, obviously trying to fill the plate!!!. Ate the burger all be it extremely dry & over cooked. I did mention to the staff how wasteful it was serving so many chips, other diners left most of there chips.this cost me almost £12 . I won’t be returning, neither will my friends.

I came in today with a friend for a quick drink and I wasn’t sure on what to get as I didn’t want to go for my basic drink the caramel frappe. But, I was greeted by the woman at the till whose name I think was Clair and she provided great customer service and helped me choose out a drink asking me what my preferences where. She was so sweet :)

On first look very decently looking, quick service, food on the menu looked good however when it came terrible. Mushy peas were sold reheated a few to many times, bacon freezing, sausage freezing, toast burnt to a crisp but the pub itself clean tidy and very jolly with its xmas Dec's. Just needs a new chef and would be a good one
