We dined here tonight and were delighted with the whole experience. The ladies who greeted and served us were welcoming, friendly and helpful, and the food was very well presented and delicious. The chef is clearly talented and the attention to detail was amazing, right down to the decreasing size of the blueberries on the top of the scrumptious cheesecake.

Rooms were not serviced once in my week there and also menu for food they never had what you wanted to order do you ended up with something different.just not a great service

If you choose to dine at the Grampian Hotel you can be assured of a hearty meal - whether lunch or dinner. Large portions, well prepared and tastefully presented. Mouthwatering deserts and ginormous home bakes. A range of wines and cocktails is available; a limited choice of draught beers. Closed on Mondays so a phone call may go unanswered. The reservation book is not always accessible by staff on duty on the premises so you may have to phone back later. Lunchtimes are not always busy but the hotel offers various activities/initiatives so it’s wise to book. The management is economising on heating - there isn’t any so it may feel cold inside if the weather outside is cold. By contrast, if it’s 30 degrees Celsius outside, it may be oppressively warm and humid inside at busy times. Windows can’t be opened and no extractor fan? If the bar is “heaving” at weekends and the access door left open, the dining area can be very noisy. Despite these potential drawbacks, the Grampian Hotel remains one of the best eateries in Keith for a meal out.

4 star Great menu choice, brillant food, friendly staff only dropped a star cause no heating was on and the restaurant was a bit cold.

Possibly the worst hotel I’ve stayed, room untidy, no shower instructions, no window in the room, overall not a pleasant experience wouldn’t recommend

Had a lovely afternoon tea birthday treat with my daughter, it was fabulous. A really good selection and everything was delicious. Lovely staff, and nice atmosphere, would definitely recommend a visit

Oh my word food was tip top exactly what i needed, great portions and fair pricing, full of beautiful cakes which i never sample unfortunately but definitely mothwatering and great variety. If u upgrade ur chips to topped the plate is large and plentiful. Was well decorated, the out side looks dated but the inside is gorgeous! Definitely worth the visit 100%

Food was great, menus different from the usual stuff you normally see can't wait to go back and try more dishes. Will stay over and sample rooms too. Nice bar too. With darts, pool, jukebox. Clean & modern. Well worth a visit.

Evening meal with mum and hubby at the Grampian Hotel. Booked the table for 6.30pm and arrived to a busy restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Plenty of choice on the menu. I had steak and ale pie with potatoes and vegetables, which were all freshly cooked with tender steak in a tasty gravy. Mum had cajun chicken with rice and chips and thoroughly enjoyed the chicken and sauce, which had a wee bit of spice to it. Hubby had smokey burger with black pudding and chilli jam. He said it was the best burger he had in a restaurant for a long time! The food was all piping hot and well presented. Our waitress Beth was very accommodating. I was very happy because my glass of Merlot only cost £3.80!! Great place to try if you're anywhere near Keith! 👍

Fantastic meal … was out for my birthday with family including my 8week old baby the young server was amazing and very attentive… will 100% be back and I’d defo say it’s the best place in town to eat

The food was disgusting and just tasted like salt. The bar has no atmosphere as there is no music playing unless you pay money for it. I asked for a starter which was £7 (had the menu open and pointed to it when ordering) at the end the woman behind the bar charged double for it. When I complained about the bill no apology or price taken off and she said it was a main course and I hadn’t stated whether I wanted a starter or main. You would think staff would have the common sense to ask if a customer would like a starter or main portion if they know they do the same menu item as both! It wouldn’t have been so bad if the food didn’t taste revolting. Won’t be going back.

Superb meal, very prompt service, friendly and efficient. We had three courses, it is hard to find any faults. The bill was very reasonable and we will definitely go back soon and have no hesitation in recommending The Grampian!

Very friendly service, we had the dog with us so got to take her into the bar so we could have some food. Very much a bar, restaurant looked nice. Good meals in good time. All fresh & very tasty.

What can I say? My first time in for an afternoon tea and it was excellent. The sandwiches, hot food, scones and fine cakes we just amazing. Plenty tea and coffee too! I had to take food home with me as there was too much. The price was great for what you got. I would highly recommend and I'll certainly be back again.

If you staying in hotel over weekend, dont expect to get much sleep as the pub downstairs have a very loud music until 01:30.

Chicken fillets were best I've tasted. Had a great day at pool competition in the hall.

Was here today steak pie was lovely salad was nice lassie that served us was polite shame about the table if toffy nosed folk beside us they were rude to the waiteress and made me feel akward

Very rude staff. Was told that the kitchen was closed while there were people eating there. Asked to use the toilet as we'd been driving for a bit. Told we weren't allowed to use it as we were not paying customers. Was going to get a drink after using them, the older woman told us too use the toilet across the road the next time. She said this loudly in front of the other customers as well. Wouldn't waste my money here

Entrees were lovely. But after spending almost 100 quid will not ever be back despite living a few doors down. Main meals were inedible. A hair in the burger and no tartare sauce or lemon with the other so dry fish, nice.. Come on, how hard is British pub food?!

Lovely lunchtime meal and service

Was here today for lunch. We both had soup which was delicious. The service was excellent. I will definitely return to this restaurant. We must all support local businesses..The girls at the next table where having afternoon tea which looked amazing. Thank you. Your soup gets 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Staff very approachable. Room was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. Good number of wall sockets. En suite shower room/toilet. Free WiFi. Room was quiet even though busy road outside hotel. Restaurant serves amazing food. On whole I’d highly recommend The Grampian Hotel

Lunched here recently and won't return. The prawn cocktail- prawns dry and the bread served with it was inappropriate and the salad too- never mix prawns and raw onions together!!! The burger was overcooked and the bun it was served in was horrible and the cheese was so thin I could hardly tell or taste what it was. Complained bitterly but fell on deaf ears!!

I travel to Keith occasionally for meetings. I’d not tried the Grampian before. The decor is simple perhaps too spartan but the food was very good and service excellent. I was impressed. Not unreasonably priced too.

Went here for lunch with my husband , food was really good , service was excellent would recommend, my only prob being my husband is wheel chair bound found it hard getting in the door and sitting at the table was a bit hard but didn’t put us off

We were out specifically looking for a place with good service and good food for a later meeting we are planning we were but disappointed it has both plus a relaxing atmosphere. We have booked for our meeting.

Greeted politely on arrival and a welcoming manner. Very coordinated and well presented restaurant. Soup - mushroom soup but it really was home made and to die for. Sirloin steak as a main cooked perfectly with home made chips with skins on, a creamy pepper sauce and a proper salad with various greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, onions and even a generous helping of coleslaw. Fantastic

The restaurant is quite cosy and comfortable. They serve a good standard Scottish food. The staff members are good enough professionals.

Visited for a family meal back in July (6 adults and 2 toddlers - one age 2 & the other 20 months). After ordering our meals & drinks (5 out of 6 adults having 2 courses and everyone having a drink) we were told that the toddlers weren’t allowed to eat their own food.. Now, I’d see the point if we had taken out full plates of fish fingers, chips & beans for them but no.. they were sitting nibbling away on crisps & breadsticks - the things you take with you to keep your kids quiet & amused. I would also understand if they weren’t getting much of a sale from us but with what we had ordered we were giving them at least £100 worth of service.. Of all the places we’ve eaten at since having our daughter, and that’s quite a few, I have never came across this and because of that I will definitely not be back, nor will I be recommending them to anyone. I have never heard of a place denying a toddler to eat their own snack to keep them amused while waiting, not very child friendly at all...

Went to the Sunday carvery for a family meal, couldn't fault the food or the service. Very polite staff and great to see the chef going round tables asking if everyone was ok.we will highly recommend

Service was excellent, the lassie did really well on her own,

3 of us stopped at the Grampian last year on a journey from Nairn to Turriff. We repeated this tonight. Once again I had the fish and chips, as did the rest of the party on my recommendation. It did not disappoint - the fried battered haddock was the best I'd had since last year. We also enjoyed the chips and salad and the extra vegetables I asked for were properly cooked and full of flavour. We'll be back again next year!

Op onze reis van De Black Isle naar Aberdeen stopte we in Keith voor onze lunch. We kozen voor dit restaurant zonder er iets van te weten. Er was een uitgebreide kaart en enkele specials van de kok. Kreeft op twee manieren bereidt. Heerlijk en uitgebalanceerd van smaak. En het was te proeven dat dit met aandacht is klaargemaakt.

We took a friend here for a meal on a recommendation, but must admit our experience wasn't as good as others seem to have had. I swithered between 3 and 4 stars but have given 4 - with reservation! The first impression on entering the restaurant is that it is quite dim - almost dingy. For drinks, as a driver I asked for a non-alcoholic cider or lager. Surprisingly they had NONE! Soda water it was then. Two of us had butterfly chicken and one haddock and chips. The chicken and fish were delicious, whereas the chips were strange - I may be wrong but they gave the impression that they had been par fried much much earlier, then fried again before serving - not very nice anyway. The cheesecake was very sweet but good. Prices were quite fair. Overall I felt that with a little effort and thought, this restaurant could be good.

Stopped here on an unplanned visit to Keith. We enjoyed an excellent lunch of freshly cooked and very tasty food. The staff were very attentive and polite. Prices at The Grampian are very reasonable. We would definitely recommend paying a visit.

During the whisky festival 4 friends stayed at the George Hotel for 3 nights, each in a single room. The rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable offering great value for money.

Awful.....if you are offered room 3, walk away! Been travelling with my job for close on twelve years now and this room is by far the worst! The room has a row of fanlight size windows running the length of one wall, only one of which opens, but it opens onto the hallway! No view, not a huge issue, but no fresh air! There are no curtains on said windows, so everytime someone walks along the hallway, they trigger a light which then floods the room! Not a good couple of nights......on a positive note, I have stayed here before and the room was fine. I was happy enough with the breakfast....

Quick stop on the way home. They were only serving soups and sandwiches as it was 3.30 in the afternoon. I had the mushroom soup and chicken and red onion chutney on white bread. Both were delicious. The waitress was so friendly and the restaurant was nice too.

Been to the hotel a few times for food and it’s always excellent with everything being homemade. The cheesecake changes almost everyday and always looks and tastes amazing.

Although we’ve lived in Keith a few years now, we’d never been to the Grampian until recently. It will definitely be a regular place for us to eat now if it continues to be as good as our last 2 visits.

Absolutely lovely, had the 2 course Christmas menu today. Very tasty, came away stuffed. Whether its a full meal, soup or a snack you can't go wrong coming to the Grampian. Absolutely delicious every time we come here. :)

Decided to go for after work tea with my wife. Cheery Waitress showed us to a table. I had excellent fish and chips with side salad, my wife who has a no fat diet had chicken & potatoes. She had a tasty sorbet I had a banana split. Very reasonable price in comfortable surroundings.

Clean functional rooms great bar and restaurant

Visited here after a trip to Strathisla Distillery - was quiet in the restaurant area but the food was amazing and the value was exceptional! Food was home made as opposed to bought in and portion sizes were great! Service was quick and friendly and the venue was clean throughout. A well worth stop for food if you are visiting or passing through.
