Beautiful food as always! It’s our number 1 favourite takeaway treat which never fails to amaze us. Food is always piping hot, delicious and their standards have never dropped. We are creatures of habit and normally order the same items but they are always perfect.

I ordered chicken chow mein with chicken curry, boiled rice and prawn crackers. The curry isn’t like a regular chicken curry, very powdery texture and I wasn’t keen but I loved the chow mein and the food was well insulated so was at least warm

I hadn’t realised I was slightly short change wise for order, the restaurant were more than amenable and waived the delivery fee so I could still take my order. Friendly deleivery driver 10/10

Meal wasn’t up to usual high standard. Some bits overcooked and dry and food arrived nearly cold.

Ordered some won tons and special chow mein vermicilli. While the food came very quickly, it was greasy and horrible. Wouldn't buy here again.

This is our favourite Chinese, we have always ordered from them for years now! Never fail with great food, not over greasy. Have not had a Chinese that has beaten this place. Keep up the good work and amazing food.

Best Chinese I’ve had in ages and it arrived much earlier than stated after ordering. Singarpore noodles were 10/10 and the curry was different and far better than the norm. Crispy and hot chips too with some free prawn crackers. Will be back for sure. Happy New Year!

the "ribs" were a box of knuckle bones and gristle, with 1 single rib. the rest of the food was not bad. best thing about this place was the friendly and polite delivery person

3 peace of chicken in my chow main

From order to delivery was THREE HOURS. After they updated the status twice to claim it had been delivered I chased only for them to claim they'd already delivered it. They had not. The food eventually did arrive and was decent BUT zero apologies for the three hour wait.

Was very good tried stuff in the local area and this came out on top very good

I really don't like leaving bad reviews, but sometimes you just have to. Ordered duck rice, ribs and sauce... 2.5 hours later noodles, ribs and sauce arrive. Why advertise 40 to 60 minutes if there zero chance of meeting that time? Anyhow, ribs... they were extra spare, sauce... extra vinegary and the duck rice is actually noodles. Expensive too.. this delicious "meal" was £17. Do yourself a favour and keep scrolling.

The food was average. Singapore noodles were not vermicelli. Wish this was specified.

The food was a little bland. The mixed starter platter was expensive for what was included. The sweet and sour chicken balls were nearly inedible - the batter was very thick, and heavy. This used to be my favourite Chinese in town, I am afraid standards have slipped.

I ordered food online from them 29th June 2024, money taken out of my bank account but food was not delivered as it appears they are closed so can't even contact them for a refund. Is this place scam?

It was 30 minutes earlier than the earliest estimate given . I had popped out and missed eating with my family

Got food delivered tiny portions for the cost abd i got food poisioning. Was told too bad no refunds. Absolute disgusting place avoid if you dont want to be ill for days

Half the order didn't arrive. The woman on the phone was aggressive and unhelpful. She was shouting down the phone and although we've been ordering here for years, she called us liars. Totally unprofessional.

when i ordered it gave me a slot between 8:25 and 8:45 however the food just turned up at 8:15 but i wasn’t made aware that our food was on the way. As i was eating dinner they only just messaged to tell me my food was out for delivery. Not the restaurant fault but slightly annoying

Nice food large portions, only thing that baffled me was no option to buy a can of drink from the menu. Wouldn’t order again purely based on that, but food was good

Small pot of sauce for chicken balls very vinegary. Overall portions small and for some reason the fried rice was yellow. Never seen this from anywhere. Driver held bag funny so liquid spilt into bag also

Disappointed with the food especially the ribs, tiny 4 pieces and mostly fat on them. This is something I would give to dog rather than serving to people. I will not be ordering from this restaurant again.

Pork dish was excellent as usual, but chips were surprisingly far below the usual standard from Gourmet House.

Food was very nice, delivery quick and a good price. personally although i enjoyed my meal there was too much sauce and a little too sweet for me, but thats just a personal view. I would order again and recommend it Brian

Not the best, ribs were not cooked enough so the meat did not fall off the bone, fried rice was like uncle bens golden fried rice, and chicken balls were ok. Overall, i could have done better.

Very happy with food and delivery

The fried rice was lumpy, the fried vermicelli was partly burnt. I ordered fried chicken with satay sauce as stated on the menu, but they delivered a chicken stew. I also ordered fried chicken with Japanese BBQ, but they delivered a chicken soup-like dish (very watery). I called the restaurant to resolve this, but they were unhelpful and very rude. I wasted £48.00 on a dinner that had to be thrown away. Very disappointing and frustrating.

What a rude delivery driver. It ruined the food. He banged on the door very impatiently, had no manners whatsoever and looked at me like I was dirt. He didn’t say a word. Not even thank you. I’ll 100% use somewhere else next time because there’s no need for such behaviour. You need to tell that miserable little man that manners cost nothing and he should not make your customers feel like they’re unworthy of his time.

Chicken wings great. Beansprouts tasted overcooked. Won’t have them again. Everything else was nice.

Wont be ordering any more from here. The food was ok but nothing special, the sweet n sour chicken balls were literally just batter with a strand of chicken in ! We have never experienced such a poor portion of chicken in the balls. Hardly Gourmet !!! There are plenty more Chinese takeaways to choose from and this one is not one of them. Sorry.

Ordered over £60 of food. All was ok but chicken balls contained no more than a strand of chicken! the rest was soggy batter and tested disgusting. Wont ever be using this place again. With loads of Chinese takeaways around you need to up your game !! Sorry but this was one of the worst we have had.

Sweet & sour missing and chicken chow mein instead of prawn chow mein when I am a pescatarian. The first person I spoke to when I raised this was rude and unprofessional- shouting at me because I reported the missing items separately from the wrong item. They got the order wrong and I wasn't rude to them so was a bit baffled by their attitude. I was passed over to the driver, who was polite & keen to help but all I could hear was the original person slagging me off in the background. Appalling.

Food was good… except the chicken balls, that we didn’t eat, as the chicken didn’t seem cooked enough. Quick delivery, but unfortunately due to the chicken balls, prob won’t order again.

My favourite Chinese . Great food and great service

Took an hour & 45 mins to be delivered & the food was poor. The Nasi Goreng smelled too strong on fish and was burnt, the Thai chicken consisted of scant pieces of chewy chicken in batter and masses of red peppers. The only thing half decent was the king prawn in spring onion. This used to be such a great place to eat, but gone downhill & such a shame :(

Terrible ribs dish. Ordered spare ribs, got the rubbish knuckle end ..no meat just grisle and fat! Took pictures. Dog food at best. Threw it away. Pancakes were awful..wifes non spicy dish full of hot chillis! Terrible. Never use again. Only edible thing was rice.

Estimated time was 45-60 mins at point of order then when bought the actual delivery time was 1hr 45 mins, the rice dish was thrown away as it tasted like the ingredients had gone off and the S&S chicken balls were all batter and no chicken, this restaurants reviews were the best on just eat but this was a very poor meal

Food was pretty naff. Ribs were just small, being the knobbly and gristly bits from the ends so were tough.Batter on sweet & sour balls was nice but there was way too much of it. Prawns way overcooked.

Good prices and quick delivery but the food was awful and the majority of it went in the bin. Chips were burnt, sauce was thick and clumpy with a funny taste and the chicken balls tasted awful. The chicken spring rolls were delicious but nothing else was eaten at all. We'll stick to our usual Chinese restaurant from now on

Super fast delivery. Food was disgusting. Chicken curry with 4 pieces of chicken bulked up with onions! Spare ribs with no meat on them. Soup tasteless with minimal chicken. Would never order from again. I could cook better. £35 spend on my order for the total of about £12 worth of food.
