Gourmet Coffee Bar & Kitchen in Solihull

Cant go because only allowed past the gates 10 mins before the train 🤷‍♂️ This is the only train station I've ever been to that's so psychotic about not letting people in early. I assume it's because of crowding potential but you'd think the staff would use their common sense when it's quiet.

Awful coffee. Insipid. Don’t waste your money.

You might getting a train from Birmingham to London, say, or visa versa. And you might think, "I will get a coffee on the train". Or "I well get a coffee at New Street". These are the perils that await the unready. Do not give in. Fortify your mind. Take a local train between New Street and Birmingham International. Leave five minutes to get a coffee at Gourmet Coffee Bar and Kitchen. This is decadence of which the great emperors of old could scare have dreamed.

Closed for a private function. Not much good when you expected to be able to buy a coffee en route. (24/4/24)

Big chain. Poor management. Staff has no motivation but has potential, do provide acceptable customer service on approached.

Cappuccino was well presented but milk tasted off and had to leave it. Sat on a worn out busted couch covered in crumbs with a table that had a years worth of dirt on it. Not a great experience.

Staff completely disinterested in providing any kind of customer service. When I arrived the tables and floors were filthy, and the place was empty - although cleaning began when I appeared. The Gourmet at Wolverhampton station is generally excellent - this one is the complete opposite.

There's nothing like good service and this was nothing like good service. Listened to the bloke moan about how he'd worked six days this week and couldn't wait to get out of the place, whilst the silent woman made us two overpriced mochas. They were cold so we returned and asked for fresh drinks which resulted in eye rolls and a very begrudging exchange. The second drinks weren't really any better but we honestly couldn't be bothered to waste any more time here. Subway is across the hall - their coffee is much better and much cheaper. Their service can't possibly be any worse.

Crufts 2024 Weekend: arrived a day early to collect the brochure, ahead of day 2 Gundog Day. Stopped here for a quick bite and enjoyed a breakfast wrap, ham & cheese croissant and 2 Grand Central IPA craft ales! Friendly service, food was ok, IPA was great.

Warm atmosphere and delicious coffee

Sorry to say I ordered a flat white and it tasted of just tainted milk, almost no coffee taste. The place was busy so did not wait to complain, nice place to sit though.

I love this location and will definitely be back for more coffee!

I visited this shop early in the morning.I ordered a hot chocolate, and it was good. The staff were incredibly friendly.

Waitress could not be bothered to put the lid on my tea,subsequently as I walking away the lid shot off burning my arm dreadfully! Not happy !

Rebecca was very efficient and friendly with serving our coffee. Great decaf flat white with oat milk, drank sat on a comfy sofa. Gorgeous cups and saucers too! 😊 Thank you.

Please dial in your espresso grind properly. I had a regular latte that tasted like pure milk. It's really disappointing to get that from a shop advertising 'speciality' coffee.

Are you a person who brags about expensive items you've bought? Well, you'll love Gourmet Coffee Bar. A flat white with "upgraded" Oatly milk (£1.80 a litre in your local Morrisons) is a eye-watering £3.45, 50p more than its cow's milk cousin. Are you incentivised to make the switch to non-dairy and slow down global warming? Rant over. The barista was lovely, warm and chatty. The La Marzocco and Victoria Arduino coffee setup, as mentioned, is scintillating. The result, awesome tasting coffee. Gourmet Coffee Bar, I somewhat forgive you.

Called here while waiting for the exit barrier queue to go down. This was honestly the best coffee I've had in a long while.

I had the most delicious baguette from here and the lady at the till was really lovely!

Love this place - really friendly staff, swift service, and the bacon baguettes are the perfect breakfast.

Had a Tea and Bacon roll, no more expensive than other outlets at say Euston or Birmingham New Street, but the quality was far superior. Really good tea, plenty of flavour, excellent bacon roll. Well worth holding out for if you're passing through.

Service is not dead. My wife & i and our 2 children 1 & 3 flew into Birmingham airport after an exhausting flight. The assistant Andy was extremely helpull he pulled out all the stops great to see someone who takes a pride in his job. Thanks Andy i take my hat off to you for defusing a potential family row & settling our kids.

I am always pleased to see a Gourmet outlet on my travels. This one has an expansive lounge area and usually friendly and quick service.

Just had their Cheddar Ploughmans vegetarian Sandwich and must say it was awesome.... The bread and filling and the taste was just too good. The quality seemed awesome even on the last day of expiry. I had it grilled at home though ..... Totally loved it. I will look out of these next time I get hungry on roads! Great show
