Big John's Chelmsley Wood in Solihull

Food is always cold. Lots of people working there but always a wait. Prices keep creeping up. Quality isn't what it use to be, flavour of the chicken doesn't taste as nice as it use to be when they first opened.

Chicken was juicy all the way through chips were crisp and fresh.Fast service great price.

Had a discount with Uber and chose Big Johns thinking it was the Garrison Lane branch. It wasn’t, it was the chelmsley wood one. Food is not as good as the Bordesley branch. Chips I ordered for a family member were quite poor. I ordered a full peri peri chicken and the leg piece was very slimy as the below photo shows, it was full of fat. The breast piece wasn’t too bad.

I love the Lawley Middleway Big Johns and I only ordered from this one because I had a voucher. Chips were cold and pizza was undercooked and I found 2 long grey curly hairs embedded in it -put me off my food and I ended up having to chuck all of it away. Big Johns is usually my go to takeaway but this has put me off the franchise altogether I’d rather just pay more to not have to experience this ever again.

Terrible. Chips were dried and added salt when I asked for no salt. Chicken slimy...just disgusting. Don't bother

After an initial good review the food left me disappointed. Cold and half of it was wrong. What an embarrassment

A ok fast food menu. But I'll never go again because they only do Cold drinks. With a greasy meal Cold drinks are disgusting. Not offering Coffee or Tea is just LAZY. Next time I'll drive to a McDonalds.

Food was delivered real fast, was hot and tasted fresh. Only 1down side no salad on my lamb kebab burger meal

was supposed to get 465ml ice cream but instead they gave me 100ml . both pitta had barely any sauce too

not delivered after 1 1/2 hours

I had to wait outside neighbours house to get the dillivery. Driver did not call at apparent first delivery and was very rude at the fact I was waiting at my neighbour house. To get the dillivery which was none of his business what I do in my time.

very disappointed with todays order. Burgers had no salad or relish and patties were overcooked. peri peri chicken was awful!!! No peri peri flavour at all and didnt have any grill marks on it. Texan bbq legend burger only had a dollop of bbq sauce when its usually smothered in it. Chips were good but needed more vinegar. Dips were excellent

Big John's is always a classic favorite, especially if you want a little more than just fish and chips

Ordered through the big johns app Normally food is nice but this time the peri peri burger chicken was very hard and uncooked

Usually get good service until I go through drive through, guy just served me clearly didn’t wanna be there. I redid my order and told him same sauces I asked for beforehand, and he goes & does one wrap with no sauce whatsoever and another with chilli and mayo (i asked for chilli and mint) SMH

Placed an order online and received a call to say they couldn't deliver and will refund but the refund never happened.

I ordered kebab meat & chips last night but got mixed kebab & chips with some spice sauce on so I had to throw it away due to eating disorder

Not happy at all with this big johns hygiene levels are unbelievable more talking and yapping instead of serving customers i do food instudry to and this one is just unbelievable

perfect each time I order from big John's. the food is always lovely and hot and the order is bang on each time that I place never has been wrong at all. okay there has been times where an item has been missing but when is brought to big John's attention they solve the problem and make there customers happy keep up with the great work guys

Food was hot n fresh, communication was excellent, called to inform me that one of the items was missing and asked what I would like instead, not all restaurants do this. Highly recommend

I and my children went to buy pizza In Big John's located in the chemsley Wood area of Birmingham. Cook Lane, l don't normally eat pizza, but trust, this is one of the best pizzas l have ever tasted. sweet and rich pizza like this. And guess what? It's not even expensive we couldn't finish it. 😄😄😄 kudos to the guy that made ours!!!. I will definitely come again. I wanted to give a 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟starts, but l was disappointed with the washroom, the tap 💧 wasn't working properly. Apart from that you guys are awesome PIZZA 🍕 MAKER 😎

Went in today to order a cheeseburger and fries meal . Did wait quite a while, however once I arrived home to eat my cheeseburger I had found that there was very spicy hot sauce within the burger which I did not ask for . Ruined my appetite

Couldn't be bothered to check my order(how hard is it to read off a screen) so they just send the same as a previous order. Missing chips, can and dip.

Order a 9”pizza and chip at cost me £8.44 the bloke at service me was making the pizza to with the blue glove at he service me on at the till and he went to get the pizza bass from the back with same blue glove on and start to make my pizza with out charging it l told him to sorry and change his glove and he just look at me and start a new pizza the chip was so rock hard and cold l just put the food in the bin and went home will not use big johns again sorry your staff need to lean cleanest first before serving people was a joke

delivery driver and big John's both said they delivered the food ans apparently given to me! at my door! I had the ring door bell on the, half hour before it should of even been delivered!!!! then laughed in My face and said he gave the food to a neighbour but then said he gave it me?!

3 pizza deal ordered but 1 with just meat, 1 just cheese, 1 chicken and veg, they put all toppings across all 3 pizzas, we had 1 vegetarian who could eat anything but chips. tried to contact to complain but kept being told store would call back (provided another number on second call to them) but never got a callback. very disappointing as usually good service

The flavours were on point, and I couldn't get enough of their signature burger. However, my positive experience took a nosedive when it came to the staff. 👎 **Rude and Inept Staff** 👎 The staff members were shockingly rude and unprofessional. When they botched my order by forgetting to make it, I politely pointed it out. But instead of apologizing or rectifying the mistake, they acted as if I was inconveniencing them. Not a great first impression, to say the least. 🗑️ **Food in the Bin? Seriously?** 🗑️ To top it off, when I challenged them further, they threw my food in the bin! Yes, you read that right. Rather than admitting their error or offering a solution, they wasted perfectly good food. It's hard to believe how unreasonable they were. In summary, while the food is worth a visit, be prepared for an unpleasant encounter with the staff. Hopefully, they'll improve their customer service soon! 🍔🙅‍♂️

Food was cold and not eatable, waste of money and time waiting

Hardly any donner meat the box was full of salad and a decent amount of chips and looked old .

I put in a special request for fresh chips I was sent burnt cold hard chips. Food was cold and all went in the bin. Save your money don’t waste it here.

I placed an order on just eat I made a special request pleas can I have Fresh chips as my son has autism. Delivery arrived and food was cold and disgusting burnt chips. Called the customer service he tried to make it out I am a liar and food is Fresh. Save yor money don’t order from here.

Very very bad experience ordered 12 inch pizza and peri peri burger online from app and chips cant beleive how bad chips were and burger and pizza burger was like boiled chicken pattie with no taste will never and ever order again

Most tasteless fried chicken I’ve ever had in my life. It also stunk my car out with fish smell even though I had no fish. 🤔. Chips and pizza weee eadable. Won’t be going again.a lot of better alternatives out there. Big John brand is slowly fading away.

The chicken is really lovely, better than KFC but the chips were disgusting - tasted like last nights that had been re warmed , and were brown too and just tasted vile. Those weren’t eaten .

Chips were dark brown, full of oil and soggy. Fish was really oily. Wasn’t expecting this a big Johns is normally really nice.

Right. Been coming here for about 4 years now to this location. Started off well portion sizes. Customer Service eveything was well. Recently portion sizes have drastically reduced. 8£ for mixed meat and chip/nan whatever you get 4 strips on donner kebab and about 6 peices od chicken kebab. Can't follow simple instructions when you ask for specific peice of chicken and they say 'yeah yeah' but get home to it being something else. Plenty of time they have given me less items. Most times I did go back and get it sorted but shouldn't be happening. Staff there emotionless look bored half asleep. Can't speak English properly well not even enough to take your order. I've had to many negative experiences. Please sort them out as soon and respect your customers. Thanks.

not only did they give me the wrong food. they forgot 3 items and one missing chicken wing after calling the number. the person promised all this would be rectified. 4 hours later I'm still waiting while throwing up. has to be the worse food ever

My driver did forget my soda... but immediately turned his car around and drove back to the restaurant to get it for me, fully completing the order 5m later. I was left a very satisfied customer and I'd like to praise him for going the extra mile when he could have just taken the easy option and told me to go get compensated for missing items. Thank you sir, I will be back again!

Very poor and slow service. All tables were dirty I asked if member of staff can clean however they didn’t clean. Wouldn’t come back again ever.

food took about 2 hours to come and im not sure why. Dissapointed as used before with no issues , taste was good just a shame about prolonged delivery. milkshake was good would recommend that

Food would of been top notch if they would cut down on the salt they use (sodium overload). The food was lovely, just a little less salt 👍. Had my order delivered in 20 mins 👍 piping hot 🔥 thanks again and will recommend.

Should have been delivered between 7:30- 7:50pm. Didn't arrive until 9pm & that was after I chased the restaurant.
