Fantastic flavoursome burger and fries at a very reasonable price. Great staff. Would highly recommend. Much nicer tasting than McDonalds.

Not a patch on the norwich one or even the liverpool one burger was burnt and tasteless all 3 drinks I wanted was out of stock all in all needs huge improvements this one

Visited with 11 yo and 14 yo for lunch. Service was excellent, menu explained and nice choice of tables. I liked the decor and we all had the £7.95 lunch offer which I thought was good value. No drink included but they weren’t too expensive for the quality here. Lovely food, really great burgers for all three of us. We always like a QR code for ordering too. No complaints here and we will be back. Thank you

To be honest the food was tasty But we kinda expected more, Tables old and wobbly, the app nearly overcharged us for the order, ended up going to the bar to order this defeating the whole QR code Seemed overpriced for a standard burger that didn’t come with any sides, sink bottle of coke over £3 As said just expected more I remember all the hype and sour tasting burgers when it first opened seems jaded and tired Hence 3 stars

Cannot recommend £11.95 for the smallest chicken burger and comes with no sides, no chips. Nothing. Just a tiny burger which i could of made at home. Poor. Go to fiveguys just 3 minutes yes away

I have had better food at 2.30 am on a cold motorway service station. Will never set foot in this chain again. Zero stars on every element

Myself, Hubby and little boy came to Gourmet Burger after a great day at Lego adventure. The food was outstanding and super tasty, service was great. I had the classic chicken burger with crispy sweet potato fries, hubby had some kind of Mexican burger with a spicy jam, the burger was cooked to perfection! Little boy had chicken stripes which were the best I have ever tasted (he didn’t eat it all lo), the batter was really light and crispy and the chicken was succulent! We’ll definitely return!

Excellent burgers! Sweet potato fries and truffle fries were also very good. Staff were lovely, particularly Billy who was very friendly and made our visit even more enjoyable.

Shocking. Only 6 eating, only half the drinks came, had to go and get the rest. Dry chicken strips, skinny chips that shattered, fresh veg served un chips! 2 meals left, 4 burgers, 1 replaced due to being wet and falling apart, 2 left as they were rank other eaten due to needing food.

Not recommended. The burger was very small for the price wait time was slow for food and to be seated, there was a lot of tables. Plates cold. Atmosphere good.

Good selection of burgers and sides, it’s interesting to select how well done you’d like your beef burger. Personally quite overpriced unless you get offers.

I went with my partner to get food and when greeted the man who served us wasn’t pleasant and the burger I received wasn’t edible so sent it back and asked for refund and was told I’d receive a refund from the finance department but all now can receive a refund I wouldn’t recommend going it’s gone downhill from when I first went

Service slow, you have to pay up front, and they even ask for a tip before you get anything. It was our first time and will be the only time we venture there. Both of us ordered burger and chips along with chicken wings when they eventually gave them to us. Both portions of the fruits were stone cold, and that wasn't the worst. After my wife took a bite into a wing, it was oozing blood. OMG. No way should that ever happen, and there are no excuses for it either. We were refunded, but that is not the problem. The problem is that this should never have happened in the first instance. Now, going back to asking for a tip before having the meal is not the way forward, and we have learned not to do that again.

We visited your restaurant today we were greeted by a lovely woman who got us a table pretty quickly explained how to order and helped us with ordering online which was good the food was amazing and the lovely woman who greeted us came over to us to make sure everything was okay and got us extra drinks, I think she said her name was Lorraine when I asked, thank you for making our visit lovely and worth while thank you Lorraine

My girlfriend and myself both had lovely burgers from GBK. A highlight of our meal was our server, Lorraine. Lorraine was kind, helpful and very friendly.

The food was nice. Our table was really wobbly so we moved to another. We tried to order online but after not managing it a couple of times we gave up and went over to the till to order. After being served our food we had to get up and fetch the ketchup. The meal was OK.

We were shocked at how poor GBK has become from several years ago. On the day we were told onion rings weren't available, only to see them being served to others later. We were also told the fresh drinks weren't available, as the machine was broken. We had the korean bbq and classic burgers. After a prolonged wait, the chicken fillets in the burger were awful and the relish was minimal. The well-flavoured sauce bottles that were available for free have been replaced with expensive tiny portions of average dips. In the end, we went home and ate again. Avoid the current menu/management and eat elsewhere in the Trafford Centre.

Delicious and juice burgers, really enjoyed the meal. The lady greeting at the door was so friendly which honestly improved the experience and made up for the lack of table service.

My opinion is the close this restaurant for good. I can’t imagine it’s working and generating profit. One of the worst restaurants in the UK. The food looks and tastes the same as if you did it at home. If you bought frozen fried chicken from iceland and cooked it in an airfryer it would definitely taste 100% better that this food. Ugly food with five guys prices. Dont think of trying it.

We were there in 4 people and a baby, is a comfortable place with a baby chair available. We eat a very delicious burgers and also some ok finger foods

Eating at Gourmet Burger Kitchen was a strange mix of well prepared, albeit a bit pricey food, served by staff that could easily replace the Vogons in the popular series of books by Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. After spending some time at the Trafford centre, we decided to get some food at the GBK, which we've not tried before. As the time was around 19:30, we didn't expect it to be very busy. On approach, we were, however met with a strangely long queue. I optimistically noticed that half the tables were empty, so the queue would surely move quickly. However, upon seeing a employee with a facial expression of someone who isn't paid nearly enough to be doing this kind of work approach at a frustratingly slow pace, that optimism quickly faded to annoyance. It took about half an hour to be seated at a table that I noticed was empty when we arrived. Yikes! As we received the menu, I quickly noticed one thing. While the burgers were reasonably priced by themselves, they included nothing else. Chips had to be ordered separately at a steep price. As the burgers weren't noticeably sizable, the chips were definitely a must to leave the premise without a remaining hunger. Yikes! My partner noticed a list of specialty sauces on the menu, and one caught their eye. Note that these sauces were specifically mentioned to be for the burger, and were assumed to be on the burger, as it did not state otherwise. As the burgers were placed before us, my partner couldn't quite notice the sauce and assumed it mustn't be very strong. After eating most of their burger and lifting their drink, they noticed a small tub of sauce had been placed neatly out of sight behind their drink. Luckily we had some chips left to dip in the sauce, but this experience was yet again more frustrating than it should realistically have been. Yikes! Sadly, I do not think we will be visiting again

First visit here tonight and what a disappointment. Burgers are small and nothing special. Have to order fries separately and they were limp and luke warm. Onion rings were dry and fried to death. Honestly you would get a better burger at Mcdonalds or KFC. Expensive rubbish, don’t waste your money.

Basically paid a lot of money for bog standard burgers and felt like I was sitting in someone's utility room.

I went there with my Nephew onn16thDecember 2023 gor a neal. Verygood food and drink. Staff were good.inwould go there again.

Wait staff was super friendly, helpful and apologetic. The place wasn't the least bit busy but we had to wait at least 20 minutes or so before our food started coming out in drips n drabs. A couple burgers, and a thing of fries .... Then 10 minutes after that- my blue cheese salad and some more chips, another 2 burgers came 10 minutes after those and 2 of 4 chicken wing orders came after another 10 minutes .... Waited all that time and half of them were raw and all were cold. We cancelled the rest of our order for the chicken wings and headed out. Wait staff kept apologizing about the food taking so long. I must admit that seeing kitchen staff standing about while everybody was waiting for food (there were 2 other tables waiting) was kinda irritating. We felt bad for the wait staff as they were doing all they could. We won't be going again.

Extremely tasty burgers and quite a few variations to choose from. You are encouraged to place your own order and pay via the app, though you don't have to. This may be efficient but is quite impersonal and somewhat presumptuous in inviting tips at different levels when you have had no service whatsoever at this point. The table servers were, however, very pleasant and happy to help. Our food came quite quickly considering how busy they were and did enjoy it.

It's a bit pricey. But the burgers were really nice and cooked well.

This review is based on fantastic customer service. The manager is called Ala and her colleague Q were extremely accommodating. I was having trouble with my student card but Ala resolved the issue quickly. Very friendly even though they seemed very busy.

I despise tips being added to the bill by default when ordering, especially when using the self service option from the table when by that point the only service we'd received was being shown to a table after an extended wait. Friendly staff and the burger was lovely and juicy, but the fries were cold and drinks over priced. The whole tip thing before even getting any food served really annoys and soured the experience (sorry, grumpy old man review!)

Ordered food for about £60 and the burgers were dry and flavour less and then On top the portion sizes where like the food was for kids when adults were eating it went to the front as the manager said come for a refund he goes you will get 1/2 black as no one ate they food went to the till 10£ was refunded and then ask them for they area manager and they called 6 security guards and 2 police officers which is very rude and unprofessional for a business to do that wouldn’t recommend this shop rather throw ur money down the drain

Stopped by to enjoy a new burger place. Burger were delicious and great service. As they just ran out of draught beer and I am not fan at all of beer bottle or cans, they offered me one on the house. Was my first time here but will definitely come back!!

Despite tasty food the horrific customer skills we left with a bad taste in our mouths. All staff were grumpy and never once approach our table to ask how we were and if we needed anything. In particular, a fella with a white patterned shirt (and to help identify him it barely fit and the buttons were holding on for dear life), when asking him for ketchup he told us to get it ourselves. Always very tasty food and a place we love to visit. I particularly enjoy the panko breaded chicken burgers. We also used to really love the hei hei salt for our chips, however they don't seem to have this anymore which is a shame.

It cost us £65 for 4 burgers without sides and 4 soft drinks. The burgers were nice but definitely not worth what we paid. The service was fast but the staff were all miserable. There was no atmosphere at all, there were hardly any diners and I'm not really surprised. I'd rather go to McDonald's.

Very disappointing. We have been to this restaurant multiple times before and have thoroughly enjoyed it, but this time was completely different. We were going here for a birthday meal and will not be returning. Prices were unnecessarily high, with a tiny portion of chips being almost £5. Burgers were a lot smaller than they have been in the past, and not amazing. Most of the family ended up with food poisoning, which shows the carelessness put into the restaurant. Restaurants was also virtually empty but food took a while to come. Disappointing as this one once a loved place to come eat.

Sat us pretty quickly on a busy Saturday. £21.95 for a burger, fries and milkshake. I thought it was pretty extortionate. Wish the staff were more friendly and wouldn't hurt to smile instead of treating us like an inconvenience.

We've been here several times before but it has become one of the now service poor restaurants like so many others. Only 2 staff members covering table cleaning and guests. Waited an age to be seated because of understaffing even though there were only around 5 other tables of people. Got told we could either order through an app or go to the counter. Chose the app just because my friend Went to the bathroom so I could start. Limited selection of drinks because everyone was sold out. Ordered some chicken burgers and sides £4.50 for a portion of chips is a bit excessive but then so is £3.20 small bottle of coke. What really wound me up was the automatic addition of a 10% tip (the app has a lovely little 😊 before you set to to 0% and it changes to 😐 also the fact you have to select any other amount to change it to 0 as there is no option for no tip is disgusting (Also tipping before I've even had any service?? no if the service is good I'll leave a tip but not before), then after that time pay the bill to find another 10% service charge has now been added (so 20% in extra charges if I hadn't changed it) with this one you have to press the I next to the service charge and then press the - key 20 times to remove it, again what am I paying a service charge for?? for someone to let me me wait 10 minutes to enter an almost empty restaurant and then to carry my food from a counter to my table. The food was good, but not the best and with small portions for price.

Tips demanded for McDonalds level service, really? TL;DR - unlikely to go back often or recommend GBK to others. Nice burger, mediocre chips, McDonalds level service. Considering the price and their insistence of being tipped for essentially self service, would give 2.5 stars but rounding down. It has been a long time since I have been to a GBK. I used to enjoy going as the burgers and sides were great. There was also the added benefit of restaurant quality food with the convenience of paying up front (fast food style), so when finished, you could just leave not spending time waiting for the bill. When we arrived, we were seated and the server briefly explained the menu - ok fine so far. To order, you can either download their app or order at the till - ok fine. I chose to order at the till as I thought this would be quicker than having to set up a new app user/password. I went to the till, told the server my order - very polite, all fine. On payment, the server asked me to follow the payment terminal instructions. This of course means they are asking for a tip - bit rich I thought considering I had to leave my table to order, no table service here. As GBK is a self ordering arrangement, I pressed 'no tip'. On the next screen, I was presented with a figure (to tip) and yes/no. Wait a minute, i already said I didn't want to tip, but you are making me say 'no' a second time? I declined again and made my payment, at which time the smile on the servers face had gone and a slightly cooler demeanour followed. The food came, the server at first could not tell the difference with our burgers - no big deal. We were not offered any condiments, or even told where we could fine them leaving us to wonder about yet again, to look for sauces. This is the second time I had to leave the table to source my own food, you need a tip for this because....?
