12:30 I went in paid £20 note , for my order cost £8 I got £2 change . Staff wasn't paying attention. Didn't get my correct amount.

Absolutely lovely meal, nicest Indians we’ve had for a while, speedy delivery as well couldn’t really fault it

We bought twice for takeaway. The first time, we bought mixed biryani and lamb biryani and pizza for the second time. We recommend lamb biryani because it is very tasty though the mixed biryani is tasty as well. The staffs are very friendly, they gave us free items for our purchasing.

Myself and my partner got set meal B for dinner last night. While waiting for our food, a 4 year old child kept jumping on me and screaming while there were no staff anywhere to be seen… today, we’ve both been suffering from suspected food poisoning, I wish we’d seen the 0 star hygiene rating earlier. I really liked this place for years but clearly it’s went significantly downhill and their hygiene standards are not fit for serving the public.

Good variety of dishes, enjoyed the lamb korai. Food was really enjoyable especially someone who has been brought up eating curries. 5 star

Delicious food now. Recently under new management. I had chicken tikka wrap, it was delicious. Chicken was fresh, soft and delicious. Spices were perfect. Nan bread was soft & tasty. I love chunky chips and their chips is my favourite now. We loved their sweet chilli sauce, absolutely spot on!! I would highly recommend everyone to try….as I will be going back. Delicious food 🥘

Firstly, thank you for delivering on Christmas night. I had endured man flu and as a result, missed the family feast. Also, thanks for the free poppadoms. However, praise must be given for the Moti Jheel's valiant attempt to re-create the 1970s classic Vesta 'boil in the bag' chicken curry. I paid £21 for chicken tikka madras, mushroom pilau rice and a peshawari naan (the latter 2 items were passable). The chicken had definitely not absorbed the usual marinade, neither had it touched the scalding sides of the tandoor. Thank you to the kind chap who delivered the meal, I hope you shared the tip with your grandson who prepared the meal.

Takeaway was very nice and good value for money

Disgusted at the service and quality. Rang multiple times and no answer. Food delivered cold, awfully greasy and with a hair in the kebab. Will be expecting a refund and explanation for the poor service.

Terrible. Stale, dried out and inedible. Embarrassing that any takeaway would think anyone could possibly enjoy their food. AVOID

Saturday night, £90 spent via Just Eat, driver tipped £5 and the vegetarian tikka mossala was chicken. Phoned and eventually despite them arguing it was potato a new dish sent. Sadly not the best meal, greasy chips and onion bhaji and the naan was pretty awful.

First and last time of ordering. the food was awful went straight in the bin !!! Bhajis burnt black sauce spilled out all over bag ! The korma was an awful green colour. Very little meat and what I did taste was dry and chewy !!!! This is the worst Indian takeout I have ever tasted !!!!! I wouldn’t recommend to anyone it was absolutely disgusting 🤢

Ordered 3 boiled rice, only 1 was supplied. Had to wait 30 mins for them to deliver the other 2 rice. By that time, the food was cold and almost congealed. When we did manage to eat, the balti and karai were bland, paste like "curries" with no real flavour. From the 1980s. Try somewhere else!

Worst experience ever. Impossible to communicate on the phone due to background noise and multiple conversations. Smallest crushed popadom ever and when I got home they’d forgotten the rice. Never again.

Ordered early online at 4pm for delivery 20.40 that evening. Received response email stating order would be delivered at 16.55. After 18 attempts to contact them they eventually pick up and I explained we needed delivery at 20.30 to 20.40 not 16.55. At 21.00 I contacted them to ask where the food was, Oh Oh ok we will make and send asap. Food was delivered at 21.38, an hour late. My Daughter had already gone to bed. The quality was terrible, Keema Naan soggy with all filling at one end, Popadoms tasted like it had been cooked in old oil. 2 x main dishes, 1 almost cold the other toppled with a lake of oil. Portions very small.I will ot be using this place again and suggest you follow suit.

Worst Indian meal I’ve ever had! I have used this place in the past and it was usually quite good but this was beyond bad! We ordered on just eat and I went to collect as I walked in all I could smell was damp and I should have asked for my money back then…! Got the food home it was just warm and the onion barji and samosa looked like they were cooked days ago and heated up. The curry had very little chicken in and seemed watered down. To summarise it was vile and a waste of money.! I think the health inspectors should give this place a visit.

If I could leave no stars I would. First and last time I will order food from here. The chicken was tough and chewy, the rice tasted funny, I’ve had better nan breads from the supermarket and the popadoms were soft like they had been there all day. Everything in the mixed starter was rancid. Got kebab for daughter and the it was like eating rubber. The whole lot got put in bin. Honestly up their with one of the worst meals I’ve ever had

Excellent food best curry I’ve had in ages.

Went for a collection. Guy behind the counter was banterful and friendly. I got the chicken tikka biryani, asked for it spicy, and boy did they deliver. Will be back, although my bowels wont be happy. Would recommend.

Food was rancid. Actually rancid. Had to phone to restaurant and let them know in case they sent out any more put of date food. Whole £30 order went in the bin. Worst takeaway we've ever had.

Disgraceful place, card machine apparently was not working so person on counter rang someone else and then passed phone to me and wanted me to give my card details to someone on the other end of the phone no idea who they were, I refused and was told to go and get cash. Will definitely not be going back.

Onion bahjees as a starter, definitely not fresh and must have been from the night before and recorded, rock hard, dry and tasteless. Mixed kebab starter, again all the meats had been reheated and the meats were tough. Vegetable rice was good and fresh as was the garlic nan and the Korma was tasty but I doubt if it was made in the kitchen and probably came from a large bought in container. Have used this takeaway for a few years now and have noticed its standards in both quality and presentation are slipping.

I have tried many times however they do not answer the phone ..very poor.

Charged £8 for the smallest container of Korma that had 3 bits of chicken in it and a burnt cold naan bread. I asked for rice but they didn’t put any in the bag 🤷‍♀️

Appalling service and so surprised as used to be good. Ordered online (screenshot of order) pick up gosforth at 5:55. Got there no order. I was told it must be at Cramlington. I asked them to phone Cramlington no order. They phoned Whickham and he said my order was there. I asked for a refund as my pregnant daughter would have to drive me there. Whickham refused to give me a refund. I drove to Whickham....guess what...no order, they denied ever speaking to Gosforth. Gosforth then denied speaking to Whickham. What a shame a once good takeaway is such a shambles now and they lie.

New menu is a a mess. Curry/English dishes/pizza/kebabs/parmo’s and desserts! Maybe if you had a more simple menu the kitchen could cope better? My order was wrong, spoke to two people and not once offered an apology. Food was average when I eventually got to try it. I always try to support local businesses, but after 10 years of support, it’s time to try somewhere new. Sorry 😢

Goregous food and it arrived on time still piping hot. On top of that the delivery driver was very polite. Will definately be going back.

NEVER had any negative comments on this place, food is always tasty, well cooked and high in quality. I recently tried their mix grill tandoori, honestly beats any mix grill at any of place I tried including the grill places.

Had to leave a review on every platform I could find because these guys seriously deserve the accolades. Fresh produce, great cuts of meat used always. They have absolutely nailed my favourite dishes. They're closed on a Tuesday so if I fancy a takeaway those nights I don't bother with Indian takeaway, there's no point as anything but Moti Jheel will leave me disappointed. And yet they're also really great value for money. They've introduced new deals which have made my fave dishes even cheaper without skimping on the production. Proper cracking. I'd recommend; Lamb Balti Garlic Pilau rice Chicken Pakoras Mixed Tandoori Starter (Lamb is SO succulent in this) Spicy Chips Do yourself a favour and get yourself Moti Jheel. You will be blown away.

Ordered a take away for the first time from Moti Jheel, Gosforth, absolutely amazing food, and brilliant staff had a great giggle with one of the staff while ordering food, so friendly, definitely recommend it. Food came hot and myself and family stuffed, will definitely be going again.

We have just had our first takeaway from Motijeel and it was one of the best Indian takeaways we have had - will certainly be ordering again from here. Very prompt delivery as well.

For the price I was very happy with the takeaway. The food was hot and we'll spiced. The meat was of average quality but again good for the price. The only disappointment were the Papadum which were stale and clearly not cooked fresh.

If you want insipid, tasteless Indian food, served with doughy, undercooked naan, poppadoms which have been fried in four week old oil (it smelled like they haven't changed the oil for longer than that), and a main with undercooked ingredients, then THIS is the place for you. Anyone who says this is the best Indian meal they've tasted has clearly got limited experience from which to compare. A thoroughly disgusting meal. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

Had my first Take Away from MotiJheel tonight, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the best Indian Takeaway I've ever had. Just to list a few of the good experiences from tonight: Called up to place my order and they were very polite and helpful. They threw in a few extra papadums, and an extra nan+starter in there too. The delivery arrived exactly when they said it would (Was technically 1 minute early). Driver was very friendly and polite. Food arrived fresh and hot. Everything was tasty and perfectly spiced. Great value for money, very reasonably priced for such good food. Portion sizes are very generous too. I have found my new regular! Will definitely order from them again the next time I fancy an Indian.

My husband and daughter were "just passing" on the way home and decided to pop in. The place looked great and seeing the family's fave dish "Methi Gosht" on the menu (for once) decided to order out. The food was excellent; it is difficult to pick out any one dish in particular as it was all so good. The Methi was excellent, the Saag Bahji - so often swimming in oil or Ghee, was dry and just how we like it. I could go on and on about the excellent service, the customer care in explaining the menu. Add to that the average prices despite the address, all this equals a great end to a very full and exciting day. Highly recommend

We will definitely be back to try out more of the menu!
