Went with local friends but will return with family and visiting friends. I had a shallot tart the sauce was fab. The salad was different in a good way made a lovely change. All the staff were very helpful. The chips caused some discussion with some loving them some finding them to salty and others not liking so Mayb they need looking at? The friend that had mussels was impressed with how many she got. My Elton mess came like a knickerbocker glory and was very nice.

We went for a meal for my birthday. We shared a seafood platter & bottle of white wine. The platter was delicious. The staff were very friendly. We will definitely be going back.

This is a review for the Short Blue pub. For some reason trip avisor just calls it "Gorleston". We had an excellent meal there a few days ago.

High StreetExtremely disappointing experience as residents as bed and breakfast at the hotel is not cheap. The juice was orange coloured but had probably never seen an orange, no option of fruit or yoghurt with cereals (you can have either/ or), no choice of milk offered, no toast unless you have full English, no top up of tea or coffee offered and a chipped plate. Staff unable to confirm ingredients in a Continental breakfast which in any event apparently comes ready plated. It all seemed a bit penny pinching and for the sake of offering a couple of slices of toast and a pot of yoghurt a bit pathetic.

Cliff HillNit quite what I expected and advertised the food and service was good but a pub / club cafe atmosphere I expected a quiet meal but the wedding music could ge heard all through the restaurants I probably would only resist for a lunch or drink when in the area
