Family noontime meal - perfect setting! Food was delicious, server was friendly and pleasant, and the atmosphere was nice! Plenty of room between tables which was good for privacy….and we had a wheelchair. Lovely meal! Thanks Gordon Arms….and Sofia, our server!

Food and atmosphere great. Service was very slow and had to ask for cutlery.

Cailin the server was nice polite and good at her job and food came all together hot and nice of a good quality...Only down side we said that it would of been nice to have music in venue not loud just in background but their wasn't...all in all a good nice place 😀

Lance and the team did a fantastic job making sure cur event was smooth and perfect.

Family lunch out on a Monday so it was nice and quiet. Nice big restaurant, nice decor. Waitress friendly and helpful. We all ordered off the lunch menu. The food was good, mixed grill delicious, the batter on the fish was raw but they were happy to rectify it. The only thing everyone complained about was the side salad on the plate was warm. I'm guessing they plate it up while the plates are warm so none of us ate it as warm lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes are not nice.

Went last Monday for an early tea, absolutely fantastic service from Caitlin. Fantastic meal, my family had a mixture of foods and all was very well cooked and served with a smile.

Omg those onion rings were absolutely disgusting! Never going there again! I pointed out I wasn't happy with my food nothing was done to rectify the cremated onion rings that were all stuck together the stake was Stone Cold. Completely unacceptable food quality, rude service.

I'm generally wary of visiting chain restaurants. However, we were visiting Peterborough and the Gordon Arms was very well recommended. We visited and the reputation was well deserved. The food was really good and we couldn't fault any of it. What made the difference was the service which we received. We were served by Molly, who was a credit to herself and the establishment. She was very personable and had the light touch, which put us both at ease. The whole front of house team seemed to be comfortable with their jobs and generally happy. The team are obviously doing something right. Keep it up.

Great meal nice atmosphere well worth the money but pudding did take a long time to come. And there was no lemonade to make a larger shandy . Yes I will return

Thought I'd pop In for a pint on the way home, big mistake. Very rude barman didn't even say hello. He then proceeded to be rude to a waitress in front of me. Poured my pint and handed it to me without a word.

A quick call, and they sorted a table for 12 people. Very short notice. The ramblewood wouldn't accommodate us. I'm very glad we decided to come here instead.

Good pub with good food and an adequate car park

We went for Sunday lunch. The staff were helpful and our waitress was very attentive to our needs. The roasts were enjoyed by us. Great portions and tasty. I would recommend.

Waiting at the bar for 10 minutes to be served just kept being ignored so left had enough of waiting for staff to serve me and my wife it's like they don't want outsiders custome so avoid rubbish service

We have not been for some time but was pleasantly surprised. We went without booking on a very busy Sunday, but was happily seated and everything was available on the menu, service was excellent, our main server was MIa and she was very polite and efficient, double checking orders as it was taken to make sure there were no issues and the young man serving the food was polite and said what was still to come so you did not think things had been missed, 2 adults and 3 children left happy! we will be back!

Had a lovely birthday meal here over the bank holiday weekend, they are dog friendly which was a help. But one thing to consider is that they are only dog friendly in the bar area and not the restaurant. The food quality was very good, and the service was great, food arrived within 30mins which I feel is a good time to wait. Will revisit when next in the area.

Me and my friend both had fajitas, really lovely and so much food , Mia served us very nice and helpful plus another lad really friendly , definitely go again

We did enjoy the Sunday dinner. But not the best we have had. Hence 4 stars. Not sure about the supposedly roast potatoes. Not a lot of meat and my pork looked grilled. All very edible though and we did enjoy it. Staff friendly and fast service, came and asked us mid meal if everything ok, that's nice. Went in the garden afterwards to finish our drinks. Yes pleasant afternoon and we will return.

We love this place. We from Glasgow and every year our family of 5 come to Peterborough for the summer holidays and we always go to The Gordon’s Arms and this is our 3rd year. Feeding 2 adults and 3 teenage boy's is a chore when dinning out for us but the menu at the Gordon Arms has so much choice and at a great prices. Molly and Lance are a great duo, always telling as about the specials, recommendations etc. And as for the food itself Well done guys Best dinning experience ever!! The food is amazing here , my wife swears the best Mac n Cheese ever and my middle son absolutely devoured his Gammon Loin steak in minutes and he’s fussy as hell So on our second visit of the week he didn’t want the menu he knew what he was ordering. Thanks to everyone who works there and we see you next year 👏

Lovely food in a chilled atmosphere. Staff were all very friendly and out waitress Molly (I think that's what she said her name is!) was very attentive and gave us good direction on various menu items. We will definitely return to the Gordon Arms.

Food was over cooked especially the child's meal which had obviously been microwaved as the bread cake was solid. Steak was over cooked

Good meal at the Gordon Arms, almost a bit too much choice! Gluten free options were good but could have been improved (gf burger buns, chips). Lovely building and well run. But the highlight by far was the service and wit from the waitress Molly, who was so lovely, welcoming and warm. Great customer service from the whole team too. Thanks!

Very disappointed in the food. The Sunday roast meats were extremely tough and tasteless, all the food was flavourless and the Yorkshire pudding was like a rubber Welly. The waiting staff were brilliant and you could see they were getting lots of complaints from others.

Service was very polite and friendly upon arrival. As restaurant became more busy however the service waned a little, our empty plates sat on table a good 10-15 mins before being taken ( table at side of us was served 3 times before this happened).Food was OK, you get what you pay for I suppose but would've loved the gravy on my roast to have been made with the meat juices which was £14+ BTW. I was asked by waitress at end if I enjoyed the meal to which i replied I gave it 7 /10 . Not good nor bad but OK .

Fab food ... lovely friendly staff

Very poor... Had a large group here for a lunchtime meal. Food was terrible. Portions were meagre and poor quality. Many of the plates were collected at the end with the majority of the food hardly touched. Staff didn't seem bothered, and we received no response when we told them the food wasn't good enough. Not sure if we arrived at a bad time, on the wrong day, or at the worst pub in the chain, but I recommend you avoid.

Great service and food. Was great to hear Karen next to us choosing poor old Mr Karen's food. Then moaning as the prices have gone up since she was last there in the 1970s. The person serving her did well not to laugh out loud, like we did 🤣

We had a joint party for a 50th and 60th . Staff were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. They were all very professional and friendly. The buffett food was perfect . The hot food was served hot and cold buffett was food and presented well.high quality I would highly recommend to all friends and family

After booking a table for Sunday dinner, a friend and I met up forca catch up. We both had the beef roast and were very happy with the food and portions. The service was also great from the moment we arrived. Special mention to Molly who looked after us with a smile so very well from start to finish. We had a good catch up which extended into dessert and we were never hurried. Very happy.

We booked a table for 18 of us to come and celebrate our little boys birthday and from the get go it seemed to be a bit of a disaster. We collected everyones pre orders sent them over as asked to be told we needed to pay our deposit that was outstanding. A deposit that we had not been made aware of throughout the booking stage, however we went and paid said deposit as our son was looking forward to seeing his family the following weekend. We arrived to our table which was supposedly in the private function room however it was private as other customers kept walking through. Now to the food, considering we pre ordered all our food somehow one meal was completely missed off of the order. I made a waitress aware she said she would get it sorted and get it straight out. This never happened.. My husband had to wait a further 20/30 minutes for his meal to come out whilst everyone else was eating their meals. Once my husband finally got his food he started to eat to have a waitress come and start taking dessert orders. Once dessert started to arrive said waitress asked who the child's sundae belonged to, my son said mine and put his hand up she looked at him and just put the sundae down at the opposite end of the table to him. This is not acceptable service. We spoke to the manager at the end of our meal who said he would be in touch with an email for free dinner for our family as he was pleased we had brought these issues up to himself rather than writing a bad review. However nearly a month later we are still waiting for said email so feel like the bad review is now very much justified as we feel he fobbed us off to just get us out of the pub. We are all very upset about how this has been handled.

Food was good and left feeling full. Service was quick. Things like food left on the floor or us having to ask for a second drink disappointed me though. Saying that I would go back for an easy dinner and would try lunch.

Came to the pub for a catch up with friends and received a lovely welcome by Cailin who provided amazing service throughout our visit, very attentive and nothing was too much for her! Will definitely be back!

Had a great time with my friends yesterday visiting my them during a work break. Came into the Gordon’s arms and was welcomed by Caitlin who alongside the rest of the team provided great service and was very polite and welcoming. Katsu chicken was fab and had Wagamamas pocketed!

Molly/Lance dealt with an allergy issue very well and the food was delicious

If you want Good Pub Grub, then I would highly recommend this place.. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate my elderly mother in a wheelchair and were very attentive to all our needs.. Excellent service & Excellent food ! I would book a table if you're planning on going at night.

Not a great experience, asked about a swap due to intolerance (asked to swap so a similar priced side and offered to pay uplift for this) and was told the swap would be full price. Whilst i appreciate pubs have to make a profit they also need to consider customers needs. Unfortunately they lost my business due to this

We had a family birthday celebration here last week and it was perfect from start to finish! Food for 18 of us all came out at the same time, was delicious and great value for money. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and we felt very well looked after. We had the function room which was perfect, so we could get up and talk to each other without worrying that our large group was disturbing other diners. We will definitely be back again!

We turned up 15mins before breakfast finished. They were still happy to accommodate us. We enjoyed everything and were not rushed to leave our table. Overall a lovely time and we shall return. 👍

Staff were run off their feet between Christmas and New year's. They managed as best they could. Many food and drinks were unavailable. Still a nice meal out.

The whole family came here for dinner on Boxing day all 13 of us. The lovely Bev looked after us and nothing was too much trouble. Food, service and pricing were all excellent. Many thanks to Bev.

Just had a lovely meal here. The food was excellent, a turkey roast, a trio of roasts and a mixed grill, with the meats cooked exactly how we all wanted them. Two of us followed up with a very tasty cheesecake. We were served by Bev who was fabulous from the minute we sat down. She was warm, friendly and engaging and was attentive and helpful which made the meal even more enjoyable. Thanks Bev 😀🤗

It's clean and tidy ,first Guinness poured so wasn't the best (by no means was it bad ).
