Went for tea on Saturday night. The food was very nice and reasonably priced, and we got great service from our waitress Laura!

We have had 3 celebrations here in the last year. On each occasion the food has been very good. This time 10th August, there were 22 of us and the food came out all together and was very hot. Would like to thank Cailin and Molly for the exceptional service. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Made a 70th birthday celebration very special. Will Always recommend Gordon Arms at Orton Longueville as a great place to go.

We had a few starters & side dishes to share, everything was hot, fresh & tasty. Mia was our server, she was friendly & happy.

Honestly only planned to stop for a quick drink and toilet break and stayed for dinner. On way back from 1940s weekend in Alford. Lovely atmosphere, excellent food, a little pricey but you get what you pay for and we didn’t mind paying.

Came in Saturday evening and had a ribeye steak which was cooked to perfection with all its furnishings, two lovely waitresses on called Molly and Cailin who you could clearly see were working well together and provided great service! Great evening, great service and great nosh!

Had the best time last night coming out for a Sunday roast. Don’t eat out often but found it to be very affordable especially for the quality of the roast. We had turkey served to us by Molly who was very accommodating and efficient. A great experience for the price.

Very good table service staff molly our waitress was great . Couple of things worth a mention good time we weren’t waiting long but tomahawk steak arrived raw it was seared n hot but raw so I had my dinner put in a doggy bag as it put me off il cook it at home lol didn’t want to waste it but then restaurant had no take out bags or foil but manager then saved the day with going to the shops n bought some kitchen foil thankfully as I was not going to let it get binned as quite expensive. Mum n dad had a great dinner but again Lola had the steak n ale pie which she thoroughly enjoyed but then had terrible nausea n diarrhoea spent quite some time in the toilet .wether the pie was too rich but I’m kinda siding maybe reheated or not cooked through properly. The restaurant staff were very nice and good but the back kitchen wether it was because it was busy let the team down . Checks need to be made in preparation and cooking times for sure .

Came here for Mother’s Day and really had a great time , food was piping hot , we had a little wait but the place was packed so it was expected , staff couldn’t do enough for us , would definitely recommend and we will back.

A real shame they turned us away at 7.30pm on a Sunday night when on Google it states the premises is open til 10.30pm???? The restaurant was empty!!! It seems most places are not interested in taking people's money now. There were only two of us and it was a special occasion. All we wanted was a quick main meal. Disappointing.

We came in today for Mothers Day. I know this is a busy time for the catering industry but the Gordon Arms did not disappoint. We received a lovely welcome from Cailin and were sat down quickly. Service from Stacey was great throughout, she was attentive and took our orders in a timely manner. The food was absolutely delicous so a big thumbs up from us to the kitchen team. My mum and i both had the trio or meats and my 2 children had a roast dinner aswell. My eldest who is 6, absolutely demolished her roast and said how tasty it was. We all had puddings, which were tasty and we all left absolutely stuffed. Thank you so much for making it an enjoyable experience on mothers day for us.

Went to The Gordon Arms for Mothers Day - went for the roast dinner - trio of meats . Food was delicious and piping hot especially considering the restaurant was busy . All the front of house staff worked incredibly hard and were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us . Well done everyone

Decided to come in with my sister & mum today, we were seated quickly & the waitress was very polite, i was temped by a roast, but went for the 12oz steak, it tasted amazing, very well seasoned, my sister & mum had a roast beef & turkey, both really enjoyed it!

Today we visited the Gordon Arms for lunch. Cailin showed us to a table that was perfect. The food came quickly, was hot and delicious. Cailin was very attentive which made our visit much more enjoyable. It made a plesant change to be served by someone who obviously enjoys and is passionate about her work. Had another lovely meal at the Gordon Arms last week with a group of friends. As usual everybody’s food was cooked to perfection and served nice and hot. Our waitress was Cailin and as usual she looked after us very well. Nothing is ever too much trouble for her and she’s always smiling so that made our evening even better. I’m sure it won’t be long before we’re back.

Was recommended this place by friends who live in the area , we decided to stay over at the orton hall , lovely rooms but food lacked so we thought we’d give the Gordon arms a go and safe to say we wasn’t disappointed, food was great , service was great and the drinks were delicious especially the strawberry lemonade not had one before but need to find somewhere closer to home that does one . Disappointing visit...no white wine, no prosecco even though it was Fizz Friday....never the less we stayed to order food.....Meals were cold...waiting staff couldn't understand why we complained. Asked us what we wanted them to do about the cold food with no offer of taking it back or a replacement. Once we asked for a replacement it took a further 20 mins to replace one portion of chips. Then the waiting staff disappeared until we were about to leave. A poor visit on the whole.

Three couples 6 different meals all perfectly cooked including the steaks. Atmosphere lovely, waiting staff efficient and friendly as is the Manager and bar staff. Nothing too much trouble welcoming and a really nice relaxed and friendly place to be. Would highly recommend.

Had lunch at the Gordon Arms on Sunday 22nd October at 1.00pm, with 3 friends. We could not have been made any more welcome by Bev, who provided us with friendly, helpful and efficient service. We went here tonight for our evening meal it was to celebrate my birthday. Looking forward to having two Ribeye steaks. My husband's steak had to be sent back because it was too raw. sunday roast disappointing best bit was the yorkshire pud veg fresh but the meat and potatoes of dubious origin. Nobody wanted to risk pudding! shame really as a nice pub with good atmosphere and speedy service.

Most of the menu contained either fried or heavy sauce based items. Not much available if one wanted straightforward unadulterated items. Husband had dietary issues after eating the steak sandwich which was overcooked and lacking in taste. I chose salmon which was also overcooked. Salad was fresh and wholesome. Disappointing meal

Well, what can I say..never been to The Gordon Arms before, but I’ll definitely be back! Danny & co were welcoming, attentive and helpful. So….to the food, I’m not a vegetarian but the Mushroom, Stilton and Spinach Wellington was spot on! Accompanied with roast baby potatoes with rosemary sea salt, Yorkshire pudding, thyme and maple flavour roast carrots, buttered greens and vegetarian gravy - all cooked beautifully. Dessert. For me, in most places they have shot up in price, £8/9 for a pud is ridiculous….so if you’re a pudding fan, I can suggest trying them here. I had the Sticky Toffee & Bourbon Pudding served warm with custard - it was de-lish, the subtleness of booze running though it gave it a real kick! 👍🏼 and at £5.99! Fantastic. The other pud tried was the Triple-Chocolate Brownie served warm with clotted cream ice cream, chocolate sauce and a chocolate pencil, equally as tasty! Good atmosphere, great food…and the beer isn’t bad either…

Food was great. Laura and Shane served us and they were lovely. Another guy tried giving our deserts to another table so we ended up waiting 20 mins for them to come out again. The ice cream had melted by this point which was disappointing but other than that it was a good experience. We had fillet steak bbq mixed grill thing and sausages for a 1 year.

Excellent service. Food is lovely and always served with a smile. The two lads on the bar (Saturday evening) were friendly and made sure I felt like a valued customer even tho they were rushed off their feet. A great team and the manager is also very friendly and down to earth nothing is too much trouble. Popped in again Sunday evening and the young lady was very friendly and helpful and makes a lovely coffee :-)

We have visited the Gordon Arms twice this weekend and on both occasions have found both the manager and other members of staff extremely welcoming and polite. As we were a large group of people who just turned up we were impressed with the service, we didn’t have to wait any length of time to be served. We will definitely be returning and keep up the good work.
