We had a lovely meal. The food was excellent. The resturant had a great atmosphere. I thought the service was very good. We even got a tour of the open kitchen. Would definitely recommend.

Went for dinner last night 05/07/2024 to "Goodfellows at 7B". We'd previously been more than 2 years ago to its previous premises in the town centre. It's now the other side of the cathedral up the road from The Fountain Inn in St Thomas Street. Despite being a Friday it wasn't full by a long chalk but this venue's quite abit larger than before. The food remains excellent and the service is good but we did think, once we'd ordered, all the courses came too quickly and we weren't allowed to relax, enjoy the wine and chat. It all felt alittle rushed. The kitchen's open to the ground floor dining room - we've seen this before at other restaurants and sometimes it works but unsure if this was the case here. We appreciate why because the patron/chef Adam Fellows holds cooking demos and it's a nice place to do so. But it didn't add to the ambience or the intimacy of the place which we appreciated at its old venue. One big plus is no loud intrusive music!

Superb food, beautifully presented, in a terrific setting and location, with excellent wine. The staff were kind and accommodating of my father's mobility issues and our time constraints. We also loved the open kitchen, the eclectic art, and the commitment to educating the next generation of fine chefs.

Wonderful small restaurant with an open kitchen so you can see the chefs doing their magic on the delight you are going to get to eat! The dishes are delightful, tasty and interesting. We were in a hurry as we had a concert to attend but we still managed to get two courses in and it convinced us we'll be back soon for a more leisurely meal.

A very intimate restaurant just a few steps away from the cathedral. The kitchen is visible from the restaurant itself, which makes for interesting viewing as the meal progresses. The front of house team are very knowledgeable about the food and wine and happy to recommend. We opted for the fish options and were not disappointed with one bite. Excellent flavours and ingredients, presented with flair but not pretentious. The selection of desserts were also different and we ended our meal with a recommended dessert wine. This was our first visit to this special restaurant but it was obvious that many of the other diners were local, which is a great testament in itself. We will certainly be returning as soon as we can!

Impeccable. Gorgeous food. Dining out in Wells can be a bit hit and miss, not at this restaurant. Thoroughly excellent in all aspects

We ate Sunday lunch. The food was was very good and at £18 for a main I thought was reasonable value. Four of us paid £120 including service charge. Sunday lunch menu is more limited than the evening menu. There were four starters, a choice of topside of beef, chicken supreme, pork belly and vegetarian option. All came with roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables and Yorkshire pudding. A cauliflower cheese option was also available at extra cost There were only two desserts on the menu and we tried both which were excellent. Top tip. There are two dining areas one downstairs and one up. Access to the upstairs is via a steep spiral staircase. If you struggle with stairs for any reason avoid this area and I'd check where your table is when booking. Service was friendly but a little slow. Partly because it was so busy. My only criticism was our table upstairs was on the small side and felt a bit cramped.

We got a thali and a vegetable briyani. The owner catered the spice levels to our taste and we greatly appreciated that. The food was fresh and delicious. The owner was sweet and friendly. The space is small but he is just starting out. It has its own charm, it’s nice that it’s small so you get a personalised service. I wish it the best.

Best place in Wells for coffee, ice creams, sorbets, limoncello over lemon sorbet and espresso over vanilla ice cream. Lovely lunches and great menu. Staff fabulous. So great that my son booked them for his wedding. It was so good we went twice in one day!!

My wife and I had an excellent dinner this evening at the Courtyard. Not only was the food great but so was the service and the prices were very reasonable. Please book with them. You will not be disappointed.
