After all the family sampling the food (3 times now ) its great and will be ordering again.

Absolute crap very stingy with the meat in the meat dishes.

Have used this restaurant for many years, as did my parents when I was young but very disappointed with the quality of the food with my recent order, especially the beef chow mein dish that was not the usual noodles and favoured consistency and more like pasta spaghetti, un happy with this cash order I called the restaurant hoping for a valid exclamation, but didn't get one, and neither did I get a proper apology..I've said this before..."your only as good as you're last job"...

I recently ordered from Good Year Chinese Food Takeaway and, unfortunately, the experience did not meet my expectations for authentic Chinese cuisine. The dishes lacked the traditional flavors I was looking forward to. The chow mein noodles were particularly disappointing – they were too dry and lacked the rich, savory taste that usually defines this dish. The Kung Po chicken and shrimp felt more like sweet and sour dishes rather than the spicy, flavorful Kung Po I anticipated. The Spicy Salt and Chilli Chicken was another letdown. It had little in common with the typical Chinese dish, featuring half a casserole filled with chopped onions, green chilies, and some shredded chicken, rather than the expected balanced and spicy flavors. The Fried Chicken with Green Peppers and Black Beans had an overpowering smoky taste, which overshadowed the dish's intended flavors. It did not resemble the traditional Chinese dish it was supposed to be. Overall, while the food was not bad, it did not deliver the authentic Chinese taste I expected. If you’re looking for true Chinese flavour , this may not be the best choice.

Zero for customer service. You need to be psychic to know not to order via their own website link, as they apparently no longer take orders that way. So having ordered and waited over an hour I called to be told no it hasn't been ordered and no they can't be in anyway helpful about getting my money back. No food, no money. Terrible organization, terrible service, terrible experience.

Ordered food on their website, when it didn't turn up after an hour and a half the told us the online purchase service wasn't working any more but it had taken our money. No apologies, and wouldn't help us claim the money back from the app on their own website!! Absolutely usless

Ordered food. The food was delivered absolutely cold. Threw containers in recycling bin outside. Once children's food were shared. They were hungry and eating the cold food. I called Goodyear to state that the food arrived cold. Goodyear said i should get the containers out of the bin, scrape the food from the children's plate and return to them for a refund. Disgusting customs service and could cause cross contamination (especially as my husband is a health and safety and food hygiene trainer and inspector) . Worse thing is i did not want a refund just some hot food delivered quickly. She would not even offer that. Despicable customer service. N

Absolutely dreadfully. Ordered on just eat and advised at 7pm it would arrive by 8pm. Phones up 820pm and told it is coming directly to you now. At 840pm it was picked up on my cctv food arriving. I took it straight to the kitchen to unwrap and it was stone cold. I have to microwave some of it. The mixed hors d’oeuvres for tea was absolutely abysmal. The ribs with dried up and tasteless. My family have used this place in the past with no complaints but it would appear the chefs have changed and it’s going down hill. Everything about my order last night was rubbish.

Such a horrible customer service and don't understand how people give a rate to this restaurant. Their postcode is RM3 and we order RM1 area, they cancelled our ordered a few hours later on. They lied they don't have a driver at first and I phoned them to deliver anytime before 8pm and then Very unprofessional owner asked the receptionist to told me, they don't do the delivery to RM1. PLEASE DO NOT RUN YOUR BUSINESS IF YOU CHOOSE TO DELIVERY AREA EVEN YOU TOOK THE DELIVER FEES, SUCH A BULLSHITTT SERVICE, WILL NEVER NEVER ORDER YOUR SHOP AGAIN , THIS IS THE FIRST TIME ODER AND GOT THE WORST EXPERIENCES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not the best place for Chinese but it's ok

Standard of food gone down been going there for years when you phone up there not really interested only 2 bits of chicken in the curry spring rolls not the same as usual prices keep going up they stopped giving prawn crackers going to try hilldean next time they can stuff their usual Christmas calander.

Public apology to Good Year. I have just left an abysmal review on Just Eat by mistake saying the food was delivered late and cold. I meant to leave this review for the McDonald’s order I placed at the same time for my son. The Good Year always deliver when they say they will and food is always great. Sorry I cannot remove the Just Eat review and I hope this makes up for it a little.

Gone downhill since the lockdown. Rice was all stodgy and burned, food took long to arrive. Called up to ask on the time, and was told if I didnt want to wait to cancel the order. Use to use it weekly, but now I am looking at other places in Romford.

I ordered Chinese at 9.30 waited a whole hour and 15mins for this too be delivered.. over 40 pound worth of Chinese and not even a prawn cracker or a bottle of coke with order.. Food came cold whether I was the last order before closing who knows as I tried to ring at 10.45and no answer.. food itself ok but no flavour very disappointed in service and communication

Arrived on time and the food was hot but that’s the only positive thing I can say Tasteless bland food ZERO spices it all tasted and looked the same won’t be using again. 👎🏼

Ended up having to cancel my order, was an hour late and every time I called I was put on hold to say they rung the driver and was 2 minutes away, was a clear lie. Very disappointed and would not recommend.

I've been ordering with them for over 5 years. Generally happy with service although recently it has gone downhill. Last week duck was very dry and only ate half. Put that down to experience. This week food was delivered and duck looked nice but pancakes very greasy and soggy (not cooked). I phoned them and they asked ME to drive the food back for proof. What? So I drove to the restaurant they offered to replace the meal. They told me they would not deliver and I should only collect so I could check it there - Eh??. Taking last week also into account and the fact that I had to return the food which I payed to be delivered. I asked for some form of compensation. They took the food off of me and told me to go away. What a way to treat a loyal customer when they provided substandard food (2 weeks in a row now). Eventually after having to argue I got a refund. Absolute disbelief and how rude.

Lovely food but Every time I ask for my chicken fried rice to be made spicy it isn't! Think they are asleep tonight as why waiting for my non spicy rice they had 2 calls where they forgot stuff in people's orders

The girl on the desk always comes across as rude and arrogant. This is the last time I'm buying my take away from there. Each time we order chowmein it is disgusting and cold. If been travelling to over Chinese shops for good food gave this one last try tonight was awful I had 5 mouthful and was sick. Never again will we eat from there

I cannot begin to explain the level of my disappointment with this restaurant. After the food was finally delivered (45 mins late) it was so cold that it could be argued it had been actually sat outside for an hour .... i mean inedible. When i called the restaurant i was told they were ‘too busy’ to deal with it and that they would give me 10% discount on the ‘next time’. If you do anything today let it be to AVOID this place LIKE THE PLAGUE. Will NEVER order again.

I have ordered from here for many years and it used to be amazing 100% of the time but has been a bit hit and miss lately i suppose it depends on the day and the chef. But one thing i can say is they do a good curry sauce 90% of the time

Eaten Chinese from the good year for many years. However this time the chow mein was not nice. Salty,runny. I put half the chow mein on the plate and the very salty liquid spilled out. I'm not sure if I will use again.

I tell you why I hate this Chinese takeway Goodyear Petersfield Avenue ....The Chef wos caught red handed and witnessed by four neighbours chasing my kitten-trying to catch him. Our kitten was so scared I couldn't find it for 12 hours !

Excellent service and food always hits the spot

Do not be distracted buy the other reviews on here this takeaway is TERRIBLE. Chicken satay was processed chicken that almost come up raw and soaked in grease. Noodles and sauce tasted like an msg overload. This is the only review Iv ever done on here and the food was that bad I had to comment, avoid like the plague.

Had food here and really enjoyed it. However, shall be wary about ordering again as it has only a 1-star rating on Havering's hygiene and food standards check, which found it required major improvement.

Fantastic place . Chicken satay is lovely and Singapore noodles is very very very tasty . It's worth every penny.

The good year are the only chinese i would eat from around harold hill their singapor noodles and egg fried rice are the best

It's pretty decent for a takeaway. The signapore noodles being a particular favorite. Usually beter of weekdays than weekends
