Good Neighbour, Tooting in Wandsworth

We went for weekend breakfast & it was understandably quite busy so the staff took a while to take our orders. I had pancakes which were very dry. Good thing it came with a few pieces of fresh fruit.

A great brunch place that does everything right, and the staff is especially great! If I don’t stop in for brunch, I will at least get some takeaway coffee which is the best in the neighbourhood. Brunch is their bread and butter but dinner is also done really well here!

Absolutely love this place for brunch! We booked as there were six of us and it does get busy at the weekends. I've had the avo on toast a few times and it did not disappoint. Everyone in the group really enjoyed the food!

Interesting small plate food, friendly atmosphere, wine slightly expensive for Tooting but overall I would recommend it.

Really lovely breakfast and coffees in Tooting! The place was packed but that didn’t impact the service, speed, friendliness of staff. It had a great vibe! I didn’t love my avo toast, but I think the tropical salsa with the eggs just threw me off a little. Would definitely be back to try something else!

Love this place! Have been a few times. Good variety in the menu and veggie options are top. Friendly staff and nice wine to boot.

We ate out in a group of three couples and had a fantastic evening. Andreas, the manager, and his staff provided helpful tips from the menu and all round terrific service. The Good Neighbour has a very original menu, and everything we ordered was delicious. The ambience in the restaurant was lively and relaxed and we had a lovely table near the window. Hats off to Andreas and the team for giving us such a great evening. We’ll definitely be coming again.

Enjoyed some stunning food and great service in the Good neighbour last night, with my family. It’s Lovely and cosy inside. We Had several small plates and every one was faultless. It’s difficult to say which was my favourite, but the Korean fried chicken was to die for and the Arancini was a delight. Highly recommend a visit.

Good Neighbour Tooting gets 5 stars in every category. Gorgeous food, brilliant atmosphere, fantastic service. It’s just a really lovely experience. The guy who runs the front of house is a class act. Ask him for the hazy canned ipa beers, they are superb and better than the draft beers.

A little away from the bustling highstreet of Tooting stands the Good Neighbour. Something about the place certainly stands out and has been on my list ever since I saw it. I was sure this place has to be my next brunch spot and I would be sitting outside: On a bright Sunday morning my friend and I tip toed our way to the restaurant and as gods would have it we got a table outside. We ordered our coffee’s and the limited yet scrumptious menu was a highlight so without thinking much we ordered an avocado Sourdough toast and a Cauliflower burger. The orange juice that followed, I must say was one of the best I have ever tasted. Sadly, they served me a chicken burger instead of Cauliflower and I bit into it. I have been a vegetarian all my life and this startled me a little. We complained to the manager and he very graciously offered us the entire meal for free. While the error was of the chef preparing, the manager was humble and admitted the mistake. Having said that I would definitely be cautious whenever I eat in a non vegan/ vegetarian place to check what I am eating before I put it in my mouth. Apart from this sour part it was a great experience and I would recommend the place.

The restaurant hosted a great birthday evening for a friend. They have a beautiful decor and flawless menu. The management’s excellent taste permeates every level of the place. Highly recommend!

We visited this place for the first time recently and have to say it was a lovely experience. We were looked after by Andreas who was super friendly and attentive, the food was amazing with plenty of veggie / vegan options, and the cocktails were really tasty and good value for money. The music selection in here is also great, much better than most places and really matched the vibe. Thank you!

Great local brunch and dinner spot! Came for brunch at 1pm on Sunday in July, plenty of tables so got a great window spot. Very good value BLAT sandwich (with perfectly ripe avocado! 🥑 ) and Korean chicken burger. (So good we forgot to take a pic until half eaten!) Nice espresso martini but didn’t love the beer they had on tap (a bit citrusy for us). Fun music and good family vibe!

We wanted to praise the brilliant staff here - only two front of house running the whole restaurant and bar with every table full, yet friendly and professional! We were so impressed by them. The food was really tasty too. Great for a relaxed date.

Visited for Brunch Great food! Although I feel the menu is missing a yoghurt and grenola option and smoothies. Service is always great, super friendly and hard working staff. Food comes out pretty quickly. Atmosphere/ setting - I feel there is one too many tables inside that leaves things a little cramped. I feel like I'm eating with people I don't know.

We hope our server's name was Andreas, that what the bill showed. He did outstanding job handling the restaurant with friendliness and grace. The food was amazing, wonderful flavors, textures, and presentation! Their vegan and vegetarian options will work for anyone. So much flavor in all the dishes. We had a family dinner. The stying the atmosphere in the restaurant is excellent. The food doesn’t quite match I had cauliflower under cooked and I was disappointed and I thought the triple cooked chops would be amazing sadly not. We had the house wine which I thought had a really cheap taste to it. Also chops were brought to us ages before the mains that didn’t make much sense to me. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Sadly not sure I would rush back unless the issues I have mentioned are addressed

One of the absolutely amazing places we've been to for a while for brunch. It's one of the few dog friendly places in the area but it's not your regular dog friendly, it is super dog friendly. The staff was awesomely friendly to us and the dogs. The service was quick and the quality of the food was stunning. Would definitely be going back when we are in London and highly recommended.

Personally the service was excellent and the staff were friendly and attentive. I really liked the ambience inside and they prepared the food very quickly, so that was a pleasant surprise. The hot chocolate was fab, loved it! However my pancakes weren't great to be honest. Very dry and the apple and cinnamon compote or sauce on top didn't feel like it should have been a component on this dish. With that being said I would come back to give the full English breakfast a try as that looked much better

We went for a brunch, everything we order was absolutely tasty. My kids order one Buttermilk pancakes and the other Buttermilk French toast, which were good, however my wife order the Tooting Trio and I order the Smoked Brisket Benedict from our in-house smoker, both very tasty! They were delicious! Price is very reasonable and great quality. A note for the staff that was very friendly and quick service.Highly recommended place.

Unusual and tasty small plates - especially the cod cheeks! Cosy, chill atmosphere with absolutely delicious cocktails. Flavia is a delight who clearly knows her stuff and her service made our date night.

It was very busy when we arrived on a Sunday morning but they seated us quickly. The service was super friendly. I had the French toast which was very sweet but delicious!

Another really lovely experience at Good Neighbour, not only were the fish fingers sandwiches the best I've had (the tartar sauce was amazing) the lovely staff who sorted our reservation and made sure our table was suitable for my husband who has mobility issues, made our time there stress free

Lovely little place to have breakfast etc, but 2 full English breakfasts & 2 vegan breakfasts & 4 teas came to just under £60, thought the teas should have been included with the breakfasts, bit too dear for me.

Don’t believe the hype. We came for brunch last week and it was good, but we went for dinner last night and were very disappointed. All dishes were mediocre at best and overpriced. The ‘Good Neighbour Wine’ comes from a tap and was served too warm, even for red. For £24 a “bottle” you would expect the wine to at least have a cork. We tried 7 dishes - croquettes & Korean chicken were the only dishes worth buying. Cauliflower, cod, tuna, pork belly, haddock were the other dishes - all bland and poorly done.

Went for brunch. Tasty. Decent portion size. Very warm welcome. Nice beer on tap. They didn’t get a few things right on the order but were more than happy to change it. Good location for watching the world go by outside.

Great place for brunch and reasonably priced. Not a fan of tapas which they serve in the evening but that's just me. Their eggs benedict is amazing 👌🤌

One of the regular places I visit for coffee, breakfast or dinner. The menu is delicious and the staff are really attentive and accommodating. Flavia and Soraya and the rest of the team are angels! Such a friendly restaurant to visit.

Went here for brunch but sad to say I won’t be coming again. The service was polite but very slow. Avocado on toast was below average, tasted like maybe yesterdays bread? Coffee also just OK.

Stumbled upon this spot day 2 in the neighborhood with a full patio and plates that looked too good , I had to try. Day 3 came back the following morning for more, soooo good. Paul and the crew are amazing. Friendly , and great food here ! !! Brisket Benny, and oatmilk latte. ❤

Was just alright. Took a drive here because of the reviews but wasn't particularly impressed. Pancakes were dry, vegan patty tasteless, fresh orange wasn't fresh at all. Place looks nice and would pop in for a drink but definitely wouldn't rate this in my top 10 of fav brunch places in South London.

Very good place to meet with friends

The brunch here is actually unreal. More to the point the croissants are ABSOLUTELY banging - picking them up on a Saturday morning over lockdown was deffo one of my fave things. Me and my sister have eaten here a host of times and love it. I am moving out of Tooting but will definitely be back.

Have come in for a few drinks over the last few months at the bar and the staff are always exceptional, went on on Friday night and the charming man Hugh spoke so highly of the breakfast thought we would give it a try this Sunday. Hands down the best breakfast in tooting, didn't catch the managers name but looked after us so well from start to finish and all the staff were amazing. Could not recommend more

Decent restaurant in Tooting. We had a couple of dishes that didn't seem to quite work for me, aubergine donut for one. But the Korean chicken and gnocchi were outstanding.

Really lovely food however we ended up with food poisoning so unlike to return which is a shame.

Excellent place for brunch. Very warm and accommodating to us with a toddler. Worth a note there is not much room for buggies so bring a small one for everyone’s sake! They do the classics but also some tasty creative additions like smoked brisket benedict. Would recommend and will be back.

Went for lunch to cure a hangover with eggs Benedict and a Bloody Mary. Both were perfect and the service was great.

Writing this review a bit late but if you want breakfast/brunch and good coffee in Tooting then this is your place (highly recommend the French toast -you’ll notice this is one of the only places in Tooting you’ll be able to get it, and the avo on sourdough). I used to live walking distance to the cafe and and very much miss it. The service is top notch, -I don’t know the managers name but he was always friendly and I noticed he would acknowledge each and every customer coming in which is quite cool as you don’t see all managers doing that. If you’re worried about missing out on a busy weekend, you can always book a table Opentable.com, there are a few outside and the rest are indoors.

We decided to try this place on a Saturday morning for brunch, the service is good, the food is tasty, maybe a bit overpriced, the English breakfast is poor for the price, we ordered fish finger brioche and eggs Benedict with smoked brisket, all ok, the coffee could be better, overall it's ok but there are better places.

Every single plate was mouthwatering! Took a bit of a gamble and booked this at the last minute. The staff were very friendly and accommodating plus it’s dog friendly which gets extra points from me. The gnocchi, brisket, cauliflower, prawn cakes, aranchini all superb. Really well priced too. I’ll definitely be returning! Thank you ☺️

We love good neighbour, food is really good and great little sharing sizes for fun dinners in a group. The bar is also brilliant with an excellent choice of drinks and cocktails. Staff are really knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended.

Somewhere in the world there is a place where wow meets incredible, what they produce is Good Neighbour. Such vim, verve and vibes summed up on first entrance from the maitre d, an absolute charming long haired man! The food, produced with flair of a circus front man but with the comfort of a grandmother in front of the stove. The attentiveness of the staff and the perfect drink recommendations throughout. Smitten, smitten, smitten. 11 days ago, I shot for the moon and landed amongst 5 stars for Good Neighbour.

What a little gem! We really never expected to find this place just leaving another restaurant on the same road. We decided to pop in for some pud a delicious mango and cherry cheese cake and hackney pistachio ice cream! Try the szechuan Salt crusted cocktail..punch with a kick! Wow totally blew us away the flavours are awesome together. Will be back soon the service was excellent very attentive 😊

Amazing first dinner out post-lockdown times. Both of us said it was one of the nicest dinners we'd had out together; all the food was delicious (especially the artichoke dip, the brisket donuts, and the beetroot arancini) and the service was very friendly and perfect level of attentiveness. We had the full English breakfast and the eggs Benedict, as we tend to at a new place. Had coffees, but there was a new barista that day so will exclude from the review. The two waiting staff we did interact with were lovely and friendly. Eggs Benedict was solid, looked delicious and had very yellow yolks. The hollandaise was clearly home made and very good. Had bread instead of the muffin, but could have done with more than one slice. The full English was very enjoyable, better sausages than you often get, although I could have done with a more substantial piece of bread. It was nice bread, but more hole than bread. The butter was very good. Mushroom was also good, not sopping wet like you often see. Also had a side of hashed browns which were nice but not amazing. For us a solid second choice to Juliet's. I think my only criticism was that the door slams. Every time somebody came in or out, so try and avoid sitting near the door!

Went there last night for a meal with my friend, was served by a lovely staff member Haja, service was quick and efficient, food was amazing, would definantly come back again and hope Haja would serve us again.

Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and tasty food! Can’t go wrong with it!
