Good Friends in Leicester

Been coming to this take away for many many years and always been one of if not the best Cantonese takeaway away shops in Leicester. Family run business and the food is outstanding.

really wanted a chinese on a monday night and my local ones were closed decided to order from here. never ever will i make that mistake again. they gave me stale prawn crackers. the chips were hold undercooked and tasted like they’d been re heated. you could have collected all of the grease off the chicken balls and re fried the chips yourself. the whole meal was just absolutely disgusting.

This was my favourite Chinese for many years now the food is awful tonight the chicken actually tasted out of date & off went in the bin an expensive mistake I won’t order from here again

Good was tasteless bland cold and quite frankly inedible. Yes ago I loved the food from here definitely won't be ordering again..recooked or heated chips in microwave disgusting

Food was delivered stone cold. Had to reheat before eating (couldn't wait an hour for replacement)

I tried this place for the first time today and am really impressed with everything I ordered. The quality and freshness of the food is amazing, it's reasonably priced, service was quick and the staff are so friendly. Also while I was sat there waiting for my food their phone was constantly ringing with people placing orders, which is always a good sign that you're in a very highly rated takeaway.

We called in on the way back to Peterborough after a day out. Very good staff that provided us with a specailly requested meal option. Food was excellent as was the service. Fully recommend this place. Shop was spotless too

So....I have been going to Good Friends for years and went last week to get my monthly chinese takeaway as I do. After arriving home some 5 miles away, I was shocked to find that there was no rice in my order (I had ordered a large EFR). When I called them, they didn't seem too bothered, and as the manager was not available, all they could offer me was a free EFR. So now I had to leave all my food to go back out to ANOTHER Chinese takeaway to get rice, and as u can imagine, by the time I am back, all my food is cold. 😡

I have been using Good Friends for 20 years and they have never let me down. The food is always amazing, staff polite and on time. I couldn't ask for more.

Tasty food provided at a great price. Every dish we had was cooked brilliantly, a good portion and piping hot. Only negative is parking is difficult if you're collecting.

A very popular takeaway with excellent food. A 5 star service with a 5 star hygiene rating. Getting a delivery takes about an hour but you can pick it up in 20 mins. Get 2 bags of chip. 1 with the meal and 1 for the drive home.

Was looking forward to trying, however they dont take card payments. Very strange

ordered from Good friends few weeks ago and it was absolutely amazing. It was worth the money! We ordered a Chicken Singpore Chow Mein. Sweet chilli crispy chicken and a portion of the chilli chips which were wonderful. We ordered in person and the staff were lovely despite being so busy on a Saturday night. We knew this place was good when we heard many phone orders over £30 and people were willing to take over an hour for their food. If you haven't tried yet, I highly recommend ordering a chinese from here! I cannot wait to order again!

The best Chinese I go to. I won't order from anywhere else in my area but here. The food is always delicious, friendly staff on the phone and the food normally comes earlier than given delivery time.

The delivery time is very bad. Was quoted 1 hour 35 minutes and it came just over 2 hours. But..... The food did come hot, and it was delicious!! I wanted to give 2 stars but the food deffo deserves 5stars. One of the best Chinese I've ever had. Please sort your waiting times out.

Good friends has always been 5* rating for me ill be honest towards the end of last year things did start going a bit weird and tasting funny however you can be the best 24/7-365 but these guys are defiantly back to selling and cooking up the best Chinese in leicester Remember its my opinion so dont get emotional Very nice tasty food Good quality meat Good size portions All at a good cost Want a Chinese go good friends

One word.....disgusted!!! Waited over an hour and when food arrived was luke warm....portions pathetic and below standard to say the least. Have always used this takeaway over a twenty year period....won't be using again!!!

Home delivery waiting time is terrible..!!! After placing an order on a Friday night we sat waiting for it to arrive.. An hour later we were sick of waiting so I called Good Friends to see where our food was, the lady said it had already left the building and would be with us in 5 minuets.. it arrived lukewarm a further 20 minuets later...!!!

Best Chinese in Leicester. Kitchen look clean and staff and friendly. If you ask about allergies they will check for you.
