Takeaway - was 30-40 mins late and arrived barely warm. Meat was so chewy in every dish. Portions were very small and expensive. Much more care should be taken and won’t be ordering again.

Went to Gong Thai last night and we were blown over by the Food, service and ambience. 2 of our party had the set menu and 2 went for separate items. All was well prepared, we didn't have to wait long for our food which was served beautifully. The owner is really working hard to make this happen and we can only commend him and his family for doing a stellar job. Keep it up, good luck in the future and we look forward to visiting you again soon.

Not easy to find but well worth it. Great value set menu and lovely staff. Food is tasty and portion large. Overall very good.

Food was pretty bland and portions quite small , the young girl who was serving us asked us if we would like any desserts and we hadn't even had our mains 🤣

Food is top notch extremely tasty and large portions with value for money. The only downside being the noisy atmosphere as large open restaurant that doesn't diffuse the sound. Making hearing difficult for me.

Really great Thai food. Very reasonable prices for food and alcohol. The food here is superb 10/10 and the staff are attentive. The menu could do with a few more dish's. no pork Penang! No Thai fishcakes! Would also like to see beef krapow (Pad Kra Pao)on the menu. Would be good to see tea or coffee on the drinks menu', there's a good profit margins on hot drinks. Overall a fantastic Restaurant, it must be as I travel here from London.

This really is good! They really care about getting it right. We have ordered a takeaway a few times now and the food has always been absolutely lovely! Our new go to for Thai! ✨

Most beautiful restaurant, decoration to high standard. Excellent food and service excellent. Owner very helpful and friendly as well as staff. Entrance in Sultan Road. They will get a ramp for wheelchair uses. I will certainly go again. Special entertainment nights look fantastic. Want a great night out go to Gong. Restaurant. Lordswood.

wow what a place this is! First thing first I must applaud the staff, from the servers, barstaff and chefs the evening was made so much better because of them! The food was brilliant and decent sized portions too! if yoy added 2 more spare ribs to the starters then I would have been more than happy to have that dish at a main! It was a great evening from start to end and cannot find anything at fault, we will 100% be booking again very soon! keep up the amazing work guys, it makes a big difference 👍👏👏

My friend and I have been saying we will come here for a while. Tonight we took the plunge and my goodness it didn't disappoint. what a beautiful restaurant. very spacious, very clean, table wonderfully presented, greeted at the door. wow! that's before the food. we went for the midweek menu. couldn't fault it at all, every dish was hot, plenty of it. Gong you didn't disappoint. I will definitely be back.

Stumbled upon here through word of mouth. Tucked away but feels like it should be somewhere that the place can be full appreciated. The decor and atmosphere are great, the service is exceptional and very attentive. The food is of great quality and very tasty, with more than enough for portions. Shared all on the set menu and feel like no one missed out. Cannot recommend enough.

I was trying this place for the first time and definitely wasn't disappointed. Very impressed with the decor and atmosphere. The service was very good and the only way I can describe the food is outstanding. I would go as far to say its the best Thai food I've ever tasted. Not only that it was great value aswell. Will definitely be going back very soon

Food amazing and to top it cocktails 🍸 to die for

Gong is a relatively new Thai restaurant in Medway which opened in late 2022. After hearing about this place and their delicious menu online I figured I needed to go and see for myself. The Google maps location for the venue is not completely accurate but we managed to find the true location within a few minutes. The venue requires stair access. Gong is decorated tastefully and the interior is lovely. We sampled their august special set menu which was £25 for two people and included a starter, main and dessert each. Being slow eaters we spent roughly 1:30h - 2h at our table and at no point did we feel rushed or pressured which was nice. Staff are attentive and the food was blissful and freshly cooked. The portions are very generous with plenty of meat and the photos don’t do it justice. If you’re looking for delicious reasonably priced authentic Thai food in Medway I would definitely recommend this place.

Gong's has a set menu running Monday to Thursday. It offers a limited selection of dishes off the main menu at a greatly reduced price. The options are still varied enough to give most diners a good varied choice. The rewards are plentiful, great tasting food and plenty of it. The drinks are set at reasonable price. Well worth a visit, I have !!

Food was great, the place just needs air con

This was my 2nd visit. I visited in March 2023 with some friends. I decided to visit again on 04th July 2023. The food was fresh, well prepared and absolutely tasty all round. Good value for money and an excellent service by the waitress. I live about 15 miles away and will certainly be visiting again and again. I could not fault anything even the toilets were clean!

This was the first time I visited Gong and it won't be the last! We had a 3 course set menu for 2 (£32.50 total) and there was so much delicious food! The portion sizes were too big really but the food was tasty and flavourful. The waitress was lovely and had a good chat with us about her work and the menu items she enjoyed which was appreciated. The tables were clean and well spaced so you didn't feel like you were sitting on top of anyone else. The only thing I found difficult was finding the entrance as it was tucked down by some houses without much signage.

What a fabulous local restaurant, 36 of us we went here for a family birthday celebration last night and I have to say Tom and his Team did an outstanding job with Great Affordable food that was delicious, Everyone thoroughly enjoyed every course and the atmosphere in the restaurant was superb 👍 Well Done Colette & Shane

First time visiting and not the easiest venue to find but when you do the inside it's clean and spacious, tables laid ready for service, you can see into the kitchen (very clean and 5 star food hygiene rating) food was amazing, hot, fresh and not greasy. Couldn't manage a pudding. Drink prices very reasonable for a restaurant and loads of choice. Staff very polite and friendly. Well done

Went for a family meal here as we have heard good things. The food was good and brilliant service, the Pad Thai was a bit hit and miss but all over meals were 10/10. Worth a visit if you are in the area

Seated promptly and then forgotten about, It was 5 minutes before we ordered drinks ,I had to call the waitress over to take our food order another 15 minutes later ,the family who came in ten minutes after us, already had their starters on the table ,other tables also received a bowl of prawn crackers which we did not, . After finally ordering, our starters were on the table within 5 minutes and were absolutely delicious. We had the tempura skewers (chicken), moo Yang (pork skewers) and prawn toast. No complaints there , There was a five minute delay on our 3rd main dish and side orders which were just sitting on the Passover until someone noticed ,which meant one of us was just sitting there not eating , chef should of been aware of his food not going out Massaman curry , wasn't too sure about a curry with potatoes in ,but there was plenty of chicken in it and it was quite large portion . (Tastes like a korma) pleasantly surprised, Sticky Thai salmon ,. Nice sized portion of fish ,perfectly cooked but the sauce tasted of just dark soy and it was covered in coriander, (which to a small percentage of people like my son ,tastes like dish soap) Chicken pad Thai ,. Good size portion but was too peanutty and sweet for my taste compared to what I've had before , And the noodles had been over worked and were just small strands of about 2" long ,found it a bit too gloopy but that's just my opinion and of course maybe the way its supposed to be Side order of fried rice noodles a bit uninspiring,lacked any flavour and we left half The much anticipated Chocolate brownie ,. Was sold out ,, so we had to have ice-cream , the coconut ice-cream was very nice though Overall an average experience let down by slowness of the teenage waiting staff who all looked tired , in total our visit was 2 hrs 10 minutes. However I would recommend you give it a try,I cannot fault the price which was £45 for 3 people ,though soft drinks were a bit pricey at £3.50 for a lemonade or cola

High ceilings, so it was a tad echo-y and finding the place took a minute due to lack of signs. Other than that, FANTASTIC. Food was authentic and tasted amazing, and they were extremely accommodating to us, as we had a vegetarian, vegan and someone who had egg/milk allergies. We could literally order everything but the desserts and could have it suited to our palates. We were served our food within 5 minutes of ordering and even given time to digest between meals. Would give higher than 5 stars if I could. Very underrated.

Place is amazing food is very good would highly recommend a visit to this place. One down side is that it's a bit hard to find the entrance I think a few signs would be good and it also has a free parking but overall fantastic place and fantastic food

Great food the service was great and the atmosphere was inviting.

Booked for the valentine's set menu which was delicious and I didn't get photos of the first two courses as we ate them so quickly. Had a little trouble finding the place first of all but service was lovely, and the acoustics were nice. Usually when a restaurant is busy you can't have an uninterrupted conversation over the noise but tonight was lovely, ambient light and decor was lovely and service and food were great. Oh yes, and the price was very reasonable too!! I've already booked a table for mother's Day.

Probably unfairly comparing with the simple made Thai food experienced around the Far East, but, considering the prices, I’d expected balanced ingredients. For example, a dish containing mostly boiled potatoes, three cashews, three pieces of chicken doesn’t constitute a Massaman

Local to where I live ( walking distance ) so been twice so far over the last month or so , on a Monday and Tuesday . Never really eaten Thai before so had the set menu both times ( 3 of us for £30) just to have a mix of food, the food was lovely some were spicy so if your not into spicy food check which food has a bit of a zing to it . The staff were amazing , happy,helpful and prompt , nothing was to much trouble the food came out quick and was piping hot obv going earlier in the week it’s not as busy but there was still a few customers in there . The seating is spacious ,room well lit all in all a great experience and great to have something different in the local community, will def be going back.

Staff were nice. Food was okay; starter sharing platter was good, but the Pad Thai missed the mark and Fish main wasn't for me. Lamb in the massaman was little tough, but the sauce flavour was really nice. Count rice was yum. Overall a little disappointed, but I may just have chosen bad meals. I'd say to give it a try for yourself

Food very bland, ordered collection ready in ten minutes. Slight awkward to find entrance but wasn’t bad. Pad Thai had no flavour or ground peanuts in it, chicken satay were also flavourless, coconut rice was ok but the Chicken panang curry was really nice. A Little disappointed

Lovely place to eat , the food is outstanding!!! Only things are the front isn’t very lit so can be hard to find in the winter and could do with some chairs to wait for takeaway. But service is amazing not a bad thing to say! Hope it stays for a long time

It was really lovely place to have dinner with family! Food was amazing and portion size was really really big for the set menus ! You get complimentary prawn cracks! I am definitely going back before November ends and I really wish they continue the set menu option in future aswell! Service was excellent! The lady who looked after us was really friendly and helping as we had to leave early without finishing the dessert due to baby's been unsettled and she packed our ice cream in a takeway container! The only one criticism I can say was finding the entrance from the car park near tesco or probably its there and I missed it in the night time! Lots of good wishes for Gong! Joye

Thought we would try this restaurant as it's only been open for a few weeks. The entrance was hard to find as we where told it was next to the bowling alley. It was actually in Sultan Road between houses 6 and 8, opposite Turnstone Road. The starter was so hot I could not finish it, perhaps I should have asked how hot it was. The main was very tasty, green Thai curry and noodles. There was a problem with the desert ordered chocolate ice cream but after a few minutes was told they were out of it and only had vanilla or vienetta. The set menu was VERY good value for money.

Had a lovely family meal here tonight and highly recommend this restaurant. Food was amazing and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. Tommy the manager made such a effort to talk to us and make sure we was ok throughout our meal and the other members of staff was also very pleasant and friendly will definitely be going back it’s definitely the best Thai restaurant We have been to

Monday to Wednesday set menu, £10 per person. Absolutely brilliant value for money! Food was authentic and well presented! £5 for a pint of Madri is reasonable at a restaurant and overall brilliant service also! Didn't catch the gentleman's name but couldn't do enough for us. Would certainly recommend to friends and family, especially the Mon-Wed set menu, bargain! Slightly difficult to find the entrance, I believe you can go via the bowling alley entrance. But their own private entrance is opposite Turnstone Road, there is a GONG sign on the wall, but could do with some better lighting at the entrance, likely that's on the way .. team just haven't had chance to do it yet :) But again, would certainly recommend a new local restaurant! Haven't eaten at Thai for two in a good few years now, but have had limehouse within the last 6 months and the food was just as good, Thai green curry was especially good!

Went for a family meal on opening night and wow what lovely food and great service. Well done on such a wonderful restaurant! Will be a new regular of ours
