This place is a hidden gem! Strong delicious fair priced cocktails. They made my off-menu brunch meal of scrambled eggs Turkish sausage avocado and halloumi to perfection. Will definitely be returning.

Really tasty food and friendly staff. Looking forward to returning. Great options for my children too. Highly recommend giving it a try. Recommend popping in for takeaway milkshakes and smoothies as well.

Came in on a summer evening for drinks. Really refreshing, the restaurant is peaceful despite being on a main road. You can sense a real family feeling, there are cute drawings on the walls. Will have to try the food next time ☺️

Easily the best place to eat in the whole of Medway, not just Gillingham. Food is amazing, and staff are so lovely. Even the chef came over and had a chat about customising the food to the way I'd like it (mostly extra spicy )

Pleasant enough, friendly staff, alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktail are a must try. I had the lasagne, huge portion but way too much basic in the sauce.

Went for a full English and was a bit disappointed. For the price I would expect better ingredients. It was simple cheap food but for a higher price. Sausage was cheap and nasty should be a Cumberland or similar not the cheap plastic sausage you get in a cheap cafe

Found this place by chance as I only work around here once a month. I have had a variety of items from the menu over those few months and keep coming back. Very pleased with the quality of the food and the prices are great also. Calamari starter is perfect 👍

Been to the rainham Galata wasn’t impressed thought I’d try Gillingham this was even worse, burger was dripping in grease although chips were nice, waffles were soggy, save your money and don’t bother , over priced greasy spoon

The food was amazing fairly priced we had rib eye steak with cheesey chips and a cheese garlic bread to start and 2 cocktails which were amazing and came to 62.30 the quality of the food was amazing and my misses had the tropical burger with bacon cheese fries would deffo go again. And recommend

What a wonderful evening we have had here we was made very welcome from start to finish the food was fabulous and the cocktails flowed very freely would highly recommend going here the staff was very attentive the tables were cleaned thoroughly after each person left overall an absolute wonderful evening

It was my last day of college last Thursday, so me and my Mum went into this restaurant up the road from our house. The service was amazing, and the staff was chatty and friendly too. I got the chicken caser salad and rainbow galata to drink. I also got a mocha. It was amazing, and I ate and drank everything. My mum got a seafood dish and a mint mojito. We would definitely go back.

Can’t fault anything, we went here Saturday for dinner staff are very friendly and helpful we enjoyed it so much we went here for a Sunday roast ,it was was delicious ,we would highly recommend this restaurant.

This is my number one goto place for a quick and easy meal anytime. First of all, I cannot praise Rob, the owner, high enough. He's such a fantastic host, extremely friendly, highly tentative and nothing is absolutely too much trouble. All the staff here are so lovely and if you want something different from the menu and customise your order, just ask! I've never had a no! A lady was asking for oat milk once and despite this is not normally available, Rob just happened to have this available and walaa! They are great like this! Secondly, this is a CASUAL diner with a mixture of American and Turkish. So don't expect an A La Carte authentic dishes please people. I mean the restaurant name kinda give it away! The food is always good, really really quick service! The price is also very competitive. The only reason I gave 4 stars for the food is simply because of the variety. The menu is your standard diner menu. I personally would love to see something different but this is merely my personal choice. Rob knows I wanted to see tempura on the menu 😂 Lastly, all of the staff here are the most honest hosts I've ever come acrossed so I fully trusted them and I don't even check my bills. Honestly it's really like a friendly next door pub owners who know you for years. The staff is definitely the number one reason I always come here. It makes such a different to your dining experience. Do support your local business.

Great little restaurant would recommend

We've only really popped in for coffees so wouldn't be fair to give a rating on the food, staff are always happy and greet you like old friends, coffee is amazing and it's nice to see the place busy at the weekends.

I was excited to try Gillingham Galata Diner And Cocktail Bar, as I had heard good things about it. However, I was very disappointed with the menu. It was full of cheap, low-quality options, which is not what I was expecting from a Turkish restaurant. There were a few Turkish dishes on the menu, but they were all very simple and basic. I was also disappointed that the menu did not include any traditional Turkish dishes. I was hoping to try something like kebabs, pide, or baklava, but none of these dishes were available. I decided to leave before ordering anything. I was not interested in paying a low price for a burger or a plate of chips. I would much rather support a restaurant that serves authentic Turkish food. I would not recommend Gillingham Galata Diner And Cocktail Bar to anyone who is looking for a traditional Turkish dining experience. The menu is disappointing and inappropriate for a Turkish restaurant. The menu options clearly showed that this was a budget and low-quality establishment. The dishes were all very simple and basic, and there was nothing on the menu that would make me want to come back. I was particularly disappointed to see that one of the starters was ham egg and chips, which is not a Turkish dish at all. This made me question the authenticity of the rest of the menu. I would much rather support a restaurant that serves authentic Turkish food and takes pride in its cuisine. I would not recommend Gillingham Galata Diner And Cocktail Bar to anyone.

Went with a large family group. My food was really good, but some others in the group were very dissatisfied, steak overdone and fatty. This was dealt with very efficiently. More staff were needed as only one waitress and she was really rushed off her feet, but she coped really well and was still smiling at the end. Will definitely come back.

2 attempts at cooking my steak medium but got extremely well done both times. Didn’t give them the opportunity to mess up a third so ended up eating only the chips. My wife had lasagna and it tasted like a microwave meal and also gave her a bad belly all night. Had a McDonald’s on the way home.

After hearing many good reviews and driving past on a daily basis husband and I decided to try this establishment for lunch and to be perfectly honest thought it was overpriced for what we had ordered. I’ll start with the good points which are quite short and what would be expected in any eatery the place itself is clean tidy and modern and staff are welcoming and friendly thats where it stops! Bad points We ordered starters of onion rings and Turkish sausage which was nice (but nothing special or anything to really write home about), for our mains we both ordered chicken kebab with side salad and rice (that’s what was described on the menu), when we recieved the main course it was basically precooked chicken breast pieces (that you can buy from your local supermarket in the chilled isle) they had put it on the grill so it was lightly warmed through and served it with enormous amount of lettuce a slice of tomato (this is what’s is classed as side salad) and some boil in a bag rice! It was flavourless, bland and quality was basic to be fair. They only had either mayo or ketchup as condiments which is not what I call a selection.We were very disappointed as it sounds much more on the menu than what it really is. We paid nearly £40 with soft drinks for this and think it’s way overpriced for what we recieved (could have gone to Nandos and got a much better tasty meal cheaper). This is more of a cafe than anything else that’s only worth visiting if you want a drink and light snack. I wouldn’t recommend this place for anything else other than that.

Really lovely diner with a large selection of food, drinks, dessert to choose from. The staff were friendly and the diner had a warm feel about it.

Absolutely spectacular service and the food was great portions and absolutely gorgeous, as a group we had the gammon and chips and the heart attack burger and fries and the Hawaiian burger and fries , all brilliant and we had cocktails too and the great thing is they do mocktails and they are really lovely and my daughter got to join in having a virgin cocktail for her 12th birthday.. the staff also made her feel special and sang happy birthday and have her a mocktail with a candle on the pineapple, we also had desert chocolate fudge brownie with Ice cream and apple pie and custard which was beautiful! .. we definitely enjoyed this place , lovely and clean and tidy and beautifully decorated. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
