Salt & pepper chips where ok. Ribs. Not great.dimsum smelled off. Service 5/5. But we didn't eat much.

Tried to order on Uber eats twice , order cancelled both times, I don't live that far from the place so shouldn't be an issue. After looking at the reviews of here probably a good job it didn't come! They also seem to offer free metal chopsticks for orders over £45, so place could just be a money grab and cancelling smaller orders.

Had an evening meal delivered barbecue ribs,chicken & blackbean sauce, neither were what we expected, ribs were tough, very little lumpy chicken,lots of onions and thick gravy.i rang to complain and the answer i got was I will tell the chef no problem

Nice food but the communication by staff is terrible. I called to inform of a sauce and got attitude by a lady on the phone. Clearly she shouldn’t work in customer service.

Absolutely disgusting! The food was dripping with so much grease it was inedible.

After a frustrating evening we were left with little choice but to call in the golden wok even though we’d never tried it before. We ordered and sat down, it seemed fairly clean and they’d recently mopped the floors. As I was sat down I thought I’d check the reviews and I was left feeling nervous but there was no need to be nervous. We fully enjoyed the meal, the fried rice was the best rice I’ve had for a long time, really enjoyed the curry with chicken and king prawns and my mum had chicken with bamboo shoots & water chestnuts and it was really nice. Don’t let the reviews put you off, just give them a try. We will be returning.

I found glass in my food! This was a collection order and I came home to find a piece of shattered glass in my food! I called the restaurant to tell them about this and they didn’t even apologise and got very defensive saying they have no idea how it ended up there. The manager, Michael, was very aggressive on the phone!

This place has had some questionable reviews in the past but don't let this put you off trying. I don't know whether there has been a change of ownership but I have made this a regular stop. Quick service whether delivery or collection. Their Set Meal Deal is a steal in my books, Yung Chow Fried Rice, Duck in Black Pepper Sauce and Crispy WonTons with Sweet and Sour sauce for a very reasonable price. Sauce is flavourful, meat tender and comes with good variation of vegetables to round out the meal. Last time we went they have Siu Mai on offer, if you're a fan of steamed dumplings these are worth picking up, exactly what you expect from an authentic Siu Mai. The only thing that knocks this place is that you can have a differing experience every time you go, your sauce may be more or less thick and with a slightly different flavour. The vegetables in your meal can be different or the amount of meat. Although never at heavy detriment to the meal it can be detract from the meal.

Probably the worst Chinese ever had. I have eaten many over the years but never this bad everything tasted off… sweaty tiny dim sum, poor quality meat, heavy vinegar taste to sweet and sour. This was absolutely vile.

Love this place as a student it’s a great place for a treat, food is always on time and is definitely amazing for what you pay this is my go to place on just eat I couldn’t recommend this more thankyou for the great food always :)

Accepted the order via Uber Eats and then cancelled the order saying it’s outside their delivery area. Rated 1 star for poor communication as they couldn’t let us know straight away.

Discovered this gem as a Keele student back in 2007 and I cannot thank them enough for all the delicious vegetarian options I was able to eat and then my sister enjoyed during her time at Staffs uni. You rarely find vegetarian friendly places but to have mock meat options for everything since 2007 is incredible. Whenever we are passing through SOT, we make sure to take an order home!! Thanks for the memories and the delicious dishes.

Gutted... this was our regular place for Chinese, consistently delicious food. Then it seemingly closed for a while and when we noticed it was back online this week we made an order. The food was cold, the rice was dry and tasteless. Proper gutted.

Thought would try as it was buy 1 get one free. It wasn't good. Chicken curry was like soup, only 3 chicken wings per portion (although best part of meal tbf) first impressions and all but its not to my go to...ever again

Wow - probably some of the worst food, I have ever tasted. Ordered this evening. Half the food was cold. Chips taste like they had been re - heated multiple times. Chicken balls were just greasy and disgusting. Would not recommend save your money. We spent £30+ and almost all has gone in the food waste

Extremely disappointed with the service, as someone that suffers with chronic pain in their joints and have recently twisted my ankle (potentially broken it) I was laughed at and belittled over the phone, as they expected me to walk down the road to collect my delivery. I live in a block of apartments and both the restaurant and restaurant driver accused me of "using the same excuse for months" and that they would not meet me at the door. Once managing to collect my order, the driver again questioned the legitimacy of my injury and laughed. As a loyal customer I would have assumed some sort of understanding/ aid would have been accommodated but apparently not.

Ordered at 7.30pm order arrived at 9.20pm tried to ring and no-one would answer when eventually got food. Which is expensive from here and also have to pay Iver £2 delivery charge. The food was freezing cold even the curry sauce was ice cold to the point I didn't fancy warming it up so had to throw my share away. Rang to complain but as before no one would answer. Would not recommend expensive freezing cold food and take away don't respond either

Order from here regularly as it always tastes great but the past 2 times the beef chow mein in black bean sauce tasted disgusting and there were no signs of any black ears even used, way too much veg and just tasted really bland. Wouldnt return again now as it's a waste of money in my opinion.

Everything tasted as if it had been recooked in more oil. Delivery took over an hour. The veg in the sweet and sour was raw and hadn't even seen a pan, there were zero signs of them being cooked. Overpriced, 70% went in the bin

Over an hour after accepting my order, Golden Wok then cancelled it without explanation. If you're too busy and can't commit, it's very simple- don't accept an order. You don't wait over an hour and then decide to cancel it. Appalling service.

I've been eating here a lot and when i say alot i mean alot.... but i just can't stop. usually i'd order to home but today i decided to collect and the staff inside were so kind such a great place, seriously recommend also the spring rolls here are just amazing they taste so good hot and cold

I ordered chicken chop suey, the only other ingredient apart from chicken was bean sprouts, the sauce was very jelly-like. Chips were over cooked and exceptionally dry. Rice was fine but not good enough to salvage this awful, expensive meal. I won’t be using this takeaway again.

Meal was freezing didn't taste rite I waited for ages aswell rice I had to warm up in microwave the ribs were not single n didn't tast rite atall n curry sauce luke warm and was to spicy won't be ordering again if I cud of given no stars n still commented I would of please don't wast your money by ordering here!!!!!!

Have ordered several times over the years, but not enough to class myself as a regular. Food has always been okay. Not Great, just okay when you're hungry. I decide to place an order for Prawn Toast starter and a quarter duck with pancakes. time was 19:29. I called them 80 minutes later to see where my food was and got the obligatory "it's on it's way and will be with you shortly". No apology. 10 more minutes pass and food arrives. So 90 minutes total to deliver just 2 miles away. I appreciate you have busy times, but 90 minutes and the food was barely warm, let alone hot. Took one bite of the prawn toast and it was soggy and luke warm. Thankfully, the duck and pancakes can't really fail with that, as just heated up the duck and was okay. Lost customer and had I known about the low hygiene rating I saw in other reviews, I'd have not bothered tonight. Save your money and go elsewhere. Please. Terrible, terrible, terrible.

Frist and quick delivery service

Order from here a few times a month it is our go to Chinese takeaway and we’ve never had an issue. Food always arrives hot and tasty, staff are friendly when you speak with them on the phone. Food can sometimes take a while to arrive but never over the latest time stated and at least we know it’s fresh.

Food delivered 10 minutes after ordering, clearly microwaved and yet still barely warm, beef and black bean absolutely vile wouldnt give to my dog lumpy and full of fat and gristle, fried rice was ok but still very greasy and barely warm. Don’t bother there are better places that deserve your custom

I can't remember the name of what I had but it was meant too have mixed veg, meat and prawns the veg was 90% onions their was only about 4 small pieces of meat and 1 single prawn. Do not order from here!

Do not try this place. Avoid at all costs. The staffs attitudes are atrocious and took absolutely ages to deliver my small order just the other side of town. Everything I tried had a funny taste to it, had lots of fat on what supposed to have been pork and the beef was gristly. Half the portion of chips were crispy and over cooked and the rest were soggy like I'd had the old chips chucked back in the fryer.. I have had a bad stomach all day. I tried to ring and explain what my issue was but got shouted and swore at. I'm sure they are really busy and aren't bothered about customers who make smaller orders. I'm just glad my kids were in bed and they aren't ill also.

Sad to say a very poor meal from here. The pork was inedible in the pork with hoisin sauce. It was like a cheap cut with lots of fat in - maybe neck - it was impossible to cut with a metal knife. The thai red curry wasn’t really a thai red curry. Had no coconut milk in. The beef was either chewy or sponge like. Not nice at all. The crispy squid was swimming in grease And had so many onions in and was soggy. It is a mega deal so £17.50 for 3 meals and rice! This is meant to be cheap. That’s what most other takeaways more or less charge all over Stoke on Trent for 3 courses and rice so not a great deal really. We were very disappointed in the quality and left a review to say so. The response from the takeaway was very rude and not apologetic. They said I paid £14.90 plus extra 15% off.. I paid £23.93 for 3 mains a rice and a starter of squid! How is that £14.90?!! They said it’s not acceptable that I explained how to keep squid crispy! So keep selling oily greasy squid then. Your chef can’t fry properly. You then say I paid with bag full of 1 & 2 penny coin and I’m not a decent man! I paid with £20 note, two pound coins, 2 x 50p pieces, 1 or 2 x20p pieces and I made it up with 2 p and 1 p pieces so your restaurant had the correct money so please don’t exaggerate and make out I paid with all 2p and 1p pieces. Then you say you have 4 chefs and 4 delivery drivers and you assume you know my favourite take away only has 1 chef and 1 driver. So? Your point is? That statement makes my favourite takeaway look better. One chef does better than 4 !!! The expression “quality not quantity” comes to mind. Then you crazily suggest someone paid me to leave a bad review and you’d be contacting just eat. That is deranged and delusional. I shall contact just eat about your slanderous accusation and defamation of character. Just eat will not be touching my account thank you. They can see all the genuine reviews and compliments I pay good takeaways. Your takeaway is only one in long time I left a bad review for because the quality was bad. I wish it had been good and I had enjoyed it but it wasn’t. So don’t be so rude to customers. You should take criticism positively and maybe buy better meat or cook meals properly then I wouldn’t complain.

DONT ORDER FOOD FROM HERE! OLD AND DRY. Combo box all meat was that dry and hard you could not eat it. They did not care when I called. The wonton were just fill pastry with no filling. Be warned!

Never order from here raw chicken and un Cooked food ordered a meal for me my with and 6 year old the meal took 1.5 hours to get here and when it arrived everything was barely warm I only live 2 mile away aswell and my son chocked on a chicken batter ball when he spat it out we looked and the chicken was pink and dough wasn't cooked when I called up they said I was lying as all meat is pre cooked it took me driving down and showing them and treating with food hygiene for them to apologise blame the supplier and try to fob me off with 50% of my next order and when I said I'm going to take it further he give me half the refund and started being aggressive so I left will take it further tho

Fantastic Spring rolls, Arrived piping hot on time and was rather lovely.

I ordered 21/01/18 on their website, but my order was cancelled as they were close, which is fair enough. However, they have taken money off my account, contacted the restaurant, it was unhelpful. First time I called, they said that the money should be back in my account within a few days. Second time I called after a week, they said they do not deal with refunds and made me contact the customer service. I called the customer service (29/01/18), which is situated in Jersey, that cost me £3 to call them to sort it out, they said that they will call me back to confirm the refund, they still have not. And it is (09/02/18) and I have still not received my refund. It is completely ridiculous on how, my money was still not returned after going through all of that.

If I could rate one star I would.. Worst food I have ever had in my life.. and that no joke .. sausage was off..I have never tasted anything so foul in my life..steak was burned on the out side and frozen bleeding on the inside.. my partner nearly broke a tooth.. lamb chop was hard and cover in slime fat..gravey was that thick and greese that you couldn't actually swallow it.. I really have never ever had food as bad as this In all my life. I just happy to god that we are not Ill from the little we are

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL! I want to throw up. The worst Chinese food I have ever had. I ordered egg fried rice which resembles really really dark chicken feed, there is barely any egg in it and it's so dark, I dread to think what you fried it in. The chicken balls are not ordinary chicken balls, they're huge, so much batter, greasy and barely any chicken (if it even is chicken?!) And the Beef with Green Peppers and Black Bean Sauce, well, where do I start?!?! The saucy is so thick and lumpy, gross! It's mostly onions and the meat....what even is that? I had a huge lump of something, cut it open and the meat is white, SINCE WHEN IS BEEF WHITE MEAT?!?! Then there is another bit which looks like a cross between uncooked fatty chicken or duck skin. What did I eat?! We barely ate any of it because it's so disgusting, never again will we order from you. I am appalled. What a waste of 20 quid :(
