Golden Wok in Lichfield

First time.e having a delivery from here. Absolutely beautiful Barbecue spare ribs was so meaty and tender All our food was hot when delivered. Highly recommend

Admittedly it was very busy but they served quickly & the lady was very friendly. Unfortunately the food was poor. Cantonese Chicken consisted of 5 pieces of chicken, 2 pieces of raw green pepper & a pile of raw onions. The sauce tasted of too much vinegar. The crispy shredded chicken was equally bad. The rice was also undercooked. My upset stomach this morning tells me the lot should have gone straight in the bin. I’m sorry, the were working very hard to fulfill all the orders but our food was not very good. Spend was a little over £50 to feed four.

We only came for a "snack", and they were more than happy to serve for a small order and it was the best chicken we've had in a while, exactly what we ordered.

We tried this place for the first time, so disappointed as we just couldn't eat it. The chicken was so dried out and thin, the plum sauce was sour and came in a the tiniest tub we've ever seen, which was only half filled, not even enough to cover some of the chicken leaving dry rice. The Singapore fried rice has always been our favourite rice, unfortunately this is not that, it was tasteless. Such a shame. Amazing service when ordering over the phone though

This used to be the best Chinese takeaway in Lichfield. Now it's a pale version of its old self. I wouldn't bother again.

We’re new to the area and this is by far the best takeaway we have found - absolutely fantastic place. The food is so well priced and is delicious. The lady who usually answers the phone is absolutely lovely and so helpful too!

The worst Chinese takeaway l have ever had. Threw most of the chips were thrown away as they were so salty they were inedible. Prawn Curry was quite plain. Beef ChowMein was very salty and thrown in the bin. Definitely will not go back

Always really good food from here, been using this takeaway for almost 5 years now. Very friendly service and quick service. Obviously due to how good it is then sometimes it gets busy but we find just ordering ahead makes that far easier to manage. Highly recommend!

Friendly service: The staff was friendly and helpful. Cons: Long wait times: It can take a while to get your food, especially on busy nights. Small portions: I found that the portions were a bit on the small side. Limited delivery area: They only deliver to a limited area. Overall: I would definitely recommend this takeaway to anyone looking for good Chinese food in Lichfield. Just be aware of the potential for long wait times and small portions.

We used to love it here - was the best takeaway in Lichfield, but something has changed with the food sadly!!

We’ve ordered from there twice now and the delivery was super quick, and the food was very tasty. (Vegetable curry and Szechuan chicken) The food was a lot less salty than is sometimes the case with Chinese takeaways. I guess we found our new local!

I wouldn't get food from here again , really expensive and pretty bland, £22 for beef in black pepper, beef chow mein and chips delivered.

We found the Golden Wok by accident, usually good food and consistent service But not tonight !! Sweet and sour chicken barely warm, the sauce was extremely sour could not be eaten and the chicken came so hard I needed a knife to cut them they were tough hard to chew, 3 pieces in I gave up ! Noodles were so over cooked that it was like mash The rice was cool and under cooked and cool Very disappointing at £23 for 3 items

Fantastic Chinese. Best in Lichfield and we have this most Friday nights. Delivery is a little longer on a Friday due to being busy but always great food.

Quality of food has changed dramatically, staff don’t care about customers and when there’s a complain they just offer you refund instead of trying to rectify the problem. Been using this take away for at least 10 years , but don’t think I will use it again Absolutely shocking service .

Tried it for the 1st time tonight 9/7/20 after a recommendation and it was amazing. The best Chinese I've had for a long time... I recommend the spicy crispy beef and the salt and chilli chips 👌🏻

Worst Chinese meal I have had in a long time. The beef was tough in the house curry and the onions were soggy. I also ordered salt and pepper chicken. There was little chicken on the bone and it was so dry I ended up putting the whole meal in the bin.

I have a wok it is made of aluminium and not gold.

By far the best Chinese takeaway in Lichfield, in my opinion anyway. Very good menu choice, reasonably priced, and all cooked very well. So many other takeaways over cook their noodles, this place doesn't! The lady serving is lovely too, not scary like some of the others 😕

Chicken curry is the best! Parking lot is free after 18:30. Prices are good. I travel 10 miles to get my curry rather than get it locally.

This has got to be one of the best Chinese takeaways in Lichfield. I normally order from the Ruby but decided to give Golden Wok a go. The staff were very friendly on the phone and the food was delivered in about 30 minutes. The food arrived hot and it was very tasty!
