Salt n chilli pieces there were loads of them Singapore fried beautiful best ever chicken balls curry sauce perfect no complaints and definitely be ordering again

Got to say this is the worst special curry I have had in my life .£ 9.50. Wouldn't give it to my dog Absolutely disgusting & full of raw onion. Sauce didn't even look like curry Rice was full of msg . & Obviously made hours previous . I never write reviews but this has to be addressed.

Great food- very tasty. I got the chicken curry and chicken chow mein. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back 😊

The chicken and black bean is the best in Renfrew!

Terrible service . I used this place regularly for a long time then decided to try other places after 4 or 5 times taking delivery as food was missing. Decided to try again and ordered on app . Worse than ever . Paid upfront for delivery , 1 hr in no food then phoned to get told come and collect it as we are busy and it will be another 40 min .cancelled order and still waiting to be refunded. Very disappointing as was great place for a good while before change of management

I would give 10 stars if I could :) the food was cooked to perfection ( tofu satay with boiled rice ) perfect for vegetarians, great portion sizes too , Thankyou Golden Star

Ordered a home delivery which was delivered quickly. The food was excellent, especially the sweet and sour chicken cantonese style and fried rice. We order from here frequently and have never been disappointed.

Have been coming here for a while now and it’s usually good, but the food we got last night was absolutely disgusting and inedible! The chicken and rib meat was questionable, the rice was at least 2 days old, everything was far too salty, the peking sauce absolutely wasn’t peking sauce and the pancake rolls were just a soggy mess. Won’t waste my money again!

Absolutely rotten. Whoever the chef was tonight was shocking. The rice was reheated, the pancake rolls were disgusting, the peking sauce was NOT peking sauce! I used to really like this place but after tonight I won’t be back.

Got a chicken curry last night and at least 2 or 3 bits of chicken where raw as a result I’ve been ill most of the night I know it’s because of this because it was the only thing I had eaten all day I am surprised tho food generally quite good I will be phoning later on to make a foemal complaint.

My first time i tried Golden Star i got recommended by my aunt, food is absolutey delicious here, ill def order here again

Golden Star, Renfrew Ordered Chicken & Onion with Oyster sauce what a disappointment. Chicken slimy and no taste it actually didnt even taste of chicken just watery yuk. not much veg or sauce either. only eat the boiled rice with the very little veg i got in it, the rest went in the bin. i wont buy from here again used to be good but i feel they are going down hill. 1 star for delivery .......... what a waste of money.

Curry is nice and also there prawns in black bean sauce and boiled rice is excellent best Chinese in Renfrew in my opinion

Had thin noodle chicken chow mein with gravy. The chicken was melt in your mouth perfection and the good sized portion was very tasty. Service was friendly, efficient, and fast, all for a decent price. Will definitely go back.

Fresh food hard to find these days. I liked it. But me I hate sauces. I prefer paste when cooking. Lots of flavour. That's why I order a dry beef chow mein x tra beansprouts. Yummy. I prefer buffet place up the road. Fantastic never seen before.

Has to be the worst Singapore fried rice I’ve ever encountered. First time I’ve ever had one that’s not had chicken in it. Very bland, no chicken and poor quality ingredients total waste of £7!

Not the best chinese in Renfrew but not the worst. Curry sauce is really spicy, one of the spiciest I've ever had. Rest of the food was decent, not as good as Highland star but much better than lomond house

Favourite chinese in Renfrew. My mum and dad live in Glasgow and will only order takeaway from here! (I have to pick up and deliver) Chicken curry, chicken chow mein, spring rolls, chicken balls, salt and chilli chips... Just to name a few of our faves

Enjoyed out take away tonight, first time I have used you. Part of our large order was wrong but really enjoyed what we had, staff friendly, will definitely be back, made my birthday

Ordered and meal arrived within 15 minutes of ordering. Spare ribs were nice, Chicken Cantonese was disgusting and was like rubber. Combination fried rice was dripping in sauce and really not tasty or nice at all. I called to complain and was told chicken used in Chicken Cantonese not the normal chicken they use. Its a different chicken. I am confused with that response as to me a chicken is a chicken. Apart from ribs the rest went in the bin. Very poor!!!!

Ordered tonight and delivery had came within 15 minutes, was so impressed until I looked at what had came. They sent part of my order wrong so phoned up and was told it was my fault he sent the wrong thing. He said he'd send another but I'd have to pay the difference. He also asked for the wrong order back (bit disgusting) finally sat down to eat my order but couldn't even bite through my chicken as it was so rubbery and fatty. Definitely won't be ordering again. 1 star and that is for the delivery driver

Brilliant Chinese take away.(my opinion best in Renfrew)Food is always piping hot. Staff really friendly and helpful.Their food always ready on time. Pancake rolls are to die for, and the portions are more than ample. would recommend to anyone who enjoys Chinese food.

Didn’t wait too long from ordering to delivery, girl on phone was friendly, Chicken Chow mien was ok, satay sauce was ok, beef curry and rice was ok too, chips were soggy, crispy chicken was very bland and chewy (def not worth £5.10) Food was pretty cold in general (Except the satay sauce).

I just bought 2 meals from here, chicken chow mein and szechuan chicken, the chow mein was dry and tasteless and the szechuan was bland. I think this will be the last time I use this place. Disappointed.

Ordered a home delivery tonight, placed the order at 1840 didn't arrive till 2010 and it was cold. Plus the delivery driver was more interested smoking his cigarette instead

Note that the take away does not accept credit cards, as is a growing trend in Renfrew take aways. Nice fresh food and a good variety on the menu. Large open kitchen so you can watch the food being cooked. Better than most in Renfrew.

Very disappointing meal. Ordered Chicken chow mein and the noodles were very dry with some chicken on the top. Too dry to eat,so went in the bin!!! Absolute waste of money!!

I was a person who never real choose Chinese food if ordering a take away. But I tried Golden Star at my sister's house and it was great. I recommend the salt and chilli chicken 😀

Love the open plan kitchen where you can watch the food being cooked fresh. And the food has always been very tasty. Had many a takeaway from here and not had a bad one yet.

First time trying this place and I have to say, it's fantastic. Ordered a delivery, staff a delight, food piping hot and delicious. Will definitely be eating here again. Highly recommended.

The take away has not been opened long.i went in for a take away meal,the take away is has alot to offer on the menu,i got sweet and sour chicken which was very good.i will be going back again.and makeing this place my regular takeaway

Renfrew since the closing of Hughland Star has had a serious lack of good Chinese food but these heroes have sorted that right out! Delicious and delivered quickly! Can’t fault anything we’ve had so far since it opened! Highly recommended!

Recently opened Chinese takeaway restaurant so we gave it a try. I ordered at the counter and was asked to take a seat. After around 10 minutes my number was called. The place was very busy so a 10 minute wait was reasonable. The food was good but not great and I would certainly give it another try.

Ordered for the first time through the app for a few friends visiting at back of 5 for pick up at 6.30pm and got a phone call about 6.15pm asking when I was coming for order told them it wasn’t due to be picked up till 6.30pm but was told there was no time given on there end and it had been sitting a while. My friend went down to collect order and I though we would have been given fresh items but after we got it plated up we could tell it had been sitting everything was chewy in congealed sauce. The chicken balls had separated from the deflated batter. Wouldn’t recommend

Superb!! 1st time visit... WOW!! Only had Sweet n' Sour Chicken Ball + chips, SEEN MORE GREASE ON A SNOWFLAKE! 😊 If the rest of the menu is as awesome as the aforementioned... Then you're in for a treat! P.S. its open planned and you can see them cooking your order... Genius idea! 👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I understand that new business’s have teething problems but the service in here is so slow! I left on Friday evening with my money back and no food after waiting for 1hour and 15mins. My food order had not even been passed to the kitchen. Some people are given numbers when ordering others are not! There is no obvious structure to their system. I was even given an apology just my money thrown back at me when I complained! I had previously been here twice and the food was ok! Nothing special but both those time I waited well over 40mins before getting my order. I also find this place to be very expensive in comparison to others in the area! Give it a miss and go to Lomond House! Better value and far tastier!

Just had the best chicken curry I've tasted in a long time lovely fried rice not greasy or sticky. The Golden Star Renfrew will now be my first choice take away
