Absolutely spot on !! Traveled from Rochdale as heard about this place and so glad we did !! All the food was piping hot and you can taste the freshness in the vegetables. Portion sizes HUGE 😁 Some Chinese takeaways you have leave a grease film in your mouth afterwards. not this place though it’s worth every penny !! If you are hesitant about visiting due to some of the reviews, GET YOURSELF THERE !! It’s bang on.

We often visit Bradford as my boyfriend is originally from there. Every time we visit, we get food from here to take home with us as it's the best Chinese takeaway ever.

If you like barbecue spare ribs then this is the place for you. BEST SPARE RIBS EVER! I love spare ribs and have tried them from many take aways and restaurants, including Chinatown in London. The spare ribs from New Golden Star, Bradford are simply the best. £7.60 for 7 or 8 delicious large ribs is a treat not to be missed. You'll thank me for this information. Enjoy! 👅

Ordered at 5.30. Rang em to see how long till delivery at 7.30 to be screamed its gone its gone its gone. Food arrives at 8 freezing cold tasteless and had to ring again as no pop with it. This time they were polite on phone. Will never order again from this place.

Stay away. Terrible takeaway Terrible service. Food came after 2 HOURS 35 MINUTES half cold then forgot nearly half the ORDER, rest of food came 45 minutes LATER, and all ended up the bin. Chips tasted like they'd been cooked then warmed up in hot oil. Woman on the phone had no customer service skills. Think you need to get more staff or buck your ideas up it was a lot better when old man and woman had it think it's the daughter who's more bothered with social media than running her takeaway. Really disappointed. Will never order again.

I have had takeaways from golden star for about 15 years, but never again. I only wanted 1 meal but was told it would be about an hour, after an hour an half I rang back and was told it would be another 40 mins to an hour!! Totally disgusting and I will never order again!

Absolutely awful. Firstly the told me they didn’t have half of my order in stock 30 minutes in when I went to collect my food. Then once i got home they’d forgot the rice. The salt and pepper chicken was cold and has no spice. The noodles were burnt and the prawn meal had about 3 prawns in. Would not recommend

I have put a 1 star but wouldnt even give it that first time trying from here due to my original chinese been closed I have never tasted anything so disgusting in all my life there was no flavour to the food what so ever everything tasted exactly the same very bland I'm very disappointed will never order here again... £22 worth of food straight in the bin GUTTED!!

The food isnt that great but my main reason for once star was the customer service the female on the phone had the most disgusting attitude and even started shouting when I rang up requiring about my food after 2 hour wait ridiculous never again would I go here STAY AWAY

Food ok but staff terrible. While waiting to be served staff can be heard using bad language and being rude about other customers. Arrogant and rude. Would rather spend my money somewhere where customers are appreciated.

I’ve been going here for years. Last few times I’ve ordered I’ve been very disappointed, food has been old and cold and delivery has been well over what they have stated it would be. Ordered food today, firstly kept getting my order wrong over the phone, after over an hour of waiting I asked how long it would be to where a young lad which wasn’t his fault I heard him go to the back and say how long for so so address the owner Maisie say for f””k sake I’m no where near that order in the background. She then came on the phone very rude and was like what do you want me to do with this order then it’s going to be at least 40 mins are we cancelling it. I’m very disappointment this is not the service you want especially having being a regular loyal customer. Wrong attitude all together you have lost a customer.

Mate beautiful food i could live off it

This was the strangest sweet and sour I've ever tasted. It had a strong taste of washing up liquid. Never had a sweet and sour like it. I left the whole thing and cannot recommend this place. A total waste of money and I'm still hungry.

Officially the worst Chinese takeaway iv ever eaten Ordered pork curry and ribs amongst other things. Everything was soaked in salt the curry sauce was so salty I threw it straight in the bin.. The ribs in ok sauce were the same. I eat a lot of Chinese food this was like nothing iv ever tasted.

I used to order from here regularly over the years but recently I've had a lot of poor quality meat with lots of gristle in my food. Slowly getting worse, began using Flying Dragon across the road.

Fab service and lovely staff always aim to please , the food is taste and always hot in temperature. Keep trying new dishes these then add to the favourite list . Keep up the good work

Been going to the Golden Star since 1979. Not once have i had reason to complain.

The personal service is fantastic, we always enjoy our meals , it comes hot , flavoursome , good portion sizes and reasonable prices .make it a must thanks for feed us

This was the worst Chinese we have ever eaten, spent £27 and threw it in the bin. It wasn't edible. Really disappointing after all the good reviews I had read. Won't be trying again!
