We went here for a surprise Birthday meal we were all made to feel very Welcome. I asked the staff for a recommendation on a Curry as I wanted to try something different. I was recommended to try the Chicken Chat. WOW it was Amazing. All our meals were lovely even my fussy teenager who doesn't eat curry loved his sticky chicken and egg fried rice. We will definitely be back again.

First class curry tonight! Large fresh tasty vegetables with an amazing flavour!! Mushroom rice was beautiful and chicken chunky and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend

Second visit - again absolutely amazing. Faultless staff, attentive and friendly. Naga Wala Chicken & Lamb is the go to meal here. It is now our monthly Indian hot spot! They serve Kingfisher on draught, fresh poppadoms, succulent chicken. Keep up the good work see you next month.

No atmosphere in restaurant, rough clientel, average food, and long wait for our orders. Couldn't hear myself speak as big tables of drunk young men and middle aged women raising their voices and roaring constantly.

Heard nothing but great things about this place so really excited to try it as not from the area, but quickly became really disappointed. I ordered the tandoori prawns for starters which cost me £10. I wouldnt usually spend £10 on a starter but for that price expected something amazing as we were out for a special occasion. However i was served two, may i repeat TWO small sized prawns. Two bites for £10. Daylight robbery. Id never felt like that in a restaurant before, it was a joke. The curry itself was average at best chicken was dry and hardly any of it. For £14 a curry youd expect a lot more. Rice and Naan were good but should be expected at £5 each which is extortionate. Overall this place is incredibly over rated and would stick to a local curry house where you can get curry naan and rice for max £15. Very disappointing and wont be returning.

I was brought to this restaurant by a local lady who visits often. The staff were very welcoming and attended to us quickly. The environment is modern and relaxed. It was nice to be given a choice to sit by the log fire. The food was very presentable and served promptly. The wine was pleasant. I had a tandoori chicken curry which I would highly recommend.

My friends & I have been frequenting this Restaurant on a monthly basis for a few years now. The staff never fail to warmly welcome us. The restaurant is always clean warm & modern. The meal last night was absolutely delicious & wonderful quality. I had to leave my appreciation. FABULOUS.

Incredible food. The Jaipur chicken was like no curry I've had before absolutely world class. Great service and nothing was too much trouble.... will definitely be back!

Amazing food as ever. Great selection of wine. Chef Rocky is a magician and food is of supreme quality. Highly recommended for families and couples as the service is top class. Ordered saag and a mixed grill which was all made to perfection, prawns were succulent. My children say the cheesy naan is best in Britain. Thanks for a wonderful time yet again.

Celebrated a 50th birthday. A party of 30 of us enjoyed a fantastic evening with the food, service & atmosphere absolutely fantastic. Everyone without exception said how much they enjoyed the meal. The brothers went out of their way to ensure our evening was a huge success & we can’t thank them enough. With 30 to serve at the same time you expect some delays/hiccups but the service was slick, smooth but at no time did we feel rushed. Thanks again for making our evening so enjoyable

Being a Midlander I’m used to having excellent curry and Golden Moments is the best I have tasted since I left the Midlands 22 years ago. The restaurant is light and modern, the service is excellent and very friendly and the food is very well presented and full of flavour. Visited the restaurant after a long time, was greeted to a warm welcome by the staff and was instantly made to feel at home. Having tried every dish on the menu I kindly requested head Chef Rocky to make me a traditional Chicken Kadai. I must say they were good at making an exception and dish itself took me straight back to the time that I ate a traditional Kadai made by a chef who served his life time in Indian dining. This shows the versatility of the chef but most importantly the flexibility of the staff. In regards with the dish, the chicken melted in your mouth, peppers and onions were cooked to perfection in a rich Kadai sauce. Finished the meal with a classy single malt from their great drinks menu. Well done and keep it up team Golden Moments.

Ordered online and was told a time to collect and ended up waiting over 40 minutes past the collection time for our food. Given that the collection time was 35 minutes after we ordered it online, we waited for over an hour for food and it was a fairly small Order. Very disappointed with the wait times as this has ruined our whole evening.

We asked for a selection of three dishes. One wit chicken one with prawns and one veggie. The outcome was delicious. Enjoyed it very much. This was a great choice

Visited while on holiday in the area and we found the menu uncomplicated and the food exceptional! The waiters were polite and helpful and full of advice on all the dishes. Spotlessly clean with tasteful decor and good atmosphere. Good portions and great value!

Tasty food loved it! The manager gave us a extra dish cause it was our birthday trip to the country. Which was so nice of him. The food was so delicious if I was ever near there again I would go back but this time go to the restaurant. The only problem was that we didn’t take any pictures of the food as it went so fast.

Went with two other couples in August and as usual It was amazing. Service is superb and the quality of the food is 10/10. Never had a bad meal from there and always treated like members of their family when going back in. Staff always seem to know when to arrive at the table and the COVID precautions are spot on. Just had a meal here with my wife it was superb. Best curry I've had in a very long time.. 10/10. This used to be a good restaurant we’ve gone numerous times and had good service and quality food at a reasonable price. The restaurant has recently undergone a refurbishment and looks good. Today we sadly found that the new menu was missing a number dishes that used to be available. Not only that we found the price had gone up quite a bit and the service was not great as well. What happened?

I last reviewed this restaurant a couple of years ago so felt after many, many more visits I should inform people of any changes.It has been refurbished! and I love the decor. It is very modern compared to the old furnishings and now it feels to be able to seat more. I am not sure if this is so or if it is the new lay out. We had a table for 18 and I felt the table could have been easily made larger if we needed it. We booked up two days before, which was last minute but they got us in as they always do! But you really need to book in advance so you don't miss out.The staff as happy, polite and friendly.The restaurant is immaculately clean along with the toilets.The food is outstanding, hot, plentiful, full of rich flavours and colour.We went to celebrate my daughters birthday and they were happy to serve us a cake that we took ourselves.All our meals came out together and were served at the same time. No one was left waiting for food, even with the size of our table.We always eat here as a mixed age group and have even taken our grand daughter from birth (only weeks old). She sat top of the table on the last visit and is now a toddler. Our other young grand children have also previously been with us,They always welcome our whole family, which is important to us.The staff are happy to adapt anything on the menu to suit your needs. I don't eat hot, spicy food but like the look of some dishes. They say 'not a problem' and change it to make it less spicy or in my husbands case make it hotter!I am not able to fault this restaurant and our last visit was on a busy Friday evening.They have employed more staff so we didn't wait for a drink or anything to be cleaned away. The staff were attentive but relaxed, which gave a calm atmosphere.If you arrive early then there is a pub opposite that you can meet in and grab a drink.The restaurant itself does not have parking but outside the rank of shops is parking or if its extremely busy then we have parked in the pub opposite.If I had to complain about anything it would be that we have to drive to get to there as it is no longer on our door step. It is worth the drive though !!! Thank you so much for yet again for a lovely evening.

Being local to Saltford it was a great evening and good service and food. The food was excellent and the place was very clean.

Been here a few times now but this was first time after refurb. Place looks very smart now, well impressed. Service great as always and staff do look after you. Food is great, no gripes here. My wife turned up late so had not pre ordered, as a group of 14 we had pre booked food. Asked for a curry to be whipped up and this was not a problem for them. One of my faves.

I ate here on Saturday night as a treat to catch up with a girlfriend. I wish I had checked it out first as the layout had changed since I last ate here & it was really noisy! Not really what we wanted for a quiet chat. We were shown to our table & almost immediately asked what we wanted; we hadn’t decided so asked for more time. Well - that was a mistake! It then took ages for someone to take our order, and at no time was a long wait advised. We waited 1 hour & 15 minutes for our food! When we asked after an hour where it was, we got a dismissive comment of ‘It’s Saturday night, what do you expect?’ Yes, they were busy, but not that bad & it’s not a huge restaurant. I think the problem was they do Take-away as well & were trying to fulfill those orders too. Anyway - the food itself was delicious. I cannot fault that. I had a vegetarian curry & my friend a chicken curry, with a side order of plain basmati & pilau rice. I can’t remember the names of the curries, but they’re changing the menus next week apparently, so probably academic! We ordered a sweet of kulfi (2 scoops) to share & were given an extra scoop! The staff were pleasant enough, especially the younger waiters, but the service was just so slow. It also got really noisy towards the end & having been in the restaurant for nearly 3 hours, we had had enough & asked for the bill. This took ages to come, which was the final straw! Having heard such good reports of the place it was a disappointing experience & I won’t be going back. If you do go here, just check the waiting times before you order. If you’re on a time limit, maybe this isn’t the place for you!

Always lives up to and exceeds my expectations every time we visit

Went again with two other couple following an earlier visit in the year. Since we went a refurb has been done and this has merely improved what was a 10/10 last time - did not think it was possible.

This is our first visit since the restaurant area has been revamped. It looks great, the staff and chefs are still the same.

Friendly as ever, the renovation looks fantastic. As for the food, top drawer. Thanks guys haven’t seen you for a while but you still remembered us. See you soon, Sioux, Martin and Don xx

It really saddens me to write this negative review, the staff were lovely but when my girlfriend and I ordered food we told the staff that i'm vegan and I cannot have dairy / eggs due to a part intolerance and also being vegan. The man who served us told us it would be 100% vegan for me. He acknowledged that I was vegan multiple times yet once i'd got home I had come out in a rash that I used to get when I ate dairy as a child and I had a very upset stomach.

The restaurant had been renovated since we last dined there creating a room that could seat large groups. Unfortunately we were seated in this room on a small table beside a party of 12. Obviously noise levels were high so conversation was difficult. Another 2 parties of 9 and12 arrived during our meal .We had to wait 1 hour 20 minutes from when we ordered for our food to arrive. Couldn’t fault the food. My partner had finished his meal but I was still eating and the waiter attempted to clear the table .The icing on the cake !!!

Celebrated arrival of a new born at GM. We had mixed kebabs for starters. The king prawns were nice, the chicken kebab were awesome. Best I have had:). Mains were very homely and best Bangali dinner I’ve had since my trip to Dhaka.

The building has recently undergone an extensive renovation and looks great, especially the modern lampshades. Alas the food to me was just OK, the pickles with the popodoms were very disappointing and I had the Mixed Grill which had a rather inedable lamb chops with other items just a bit lacking in flavour. I so hoped for better but was left disappointed.

First visited 27 July and really enjoyed, so decided to go again on 3 Aug. Trouble started when the waiter spilt my tonic water over the table. He apologised, and said this would not be charged for. Next placed order and told waiter that I am allergic to fresh coriander, so did not want this sprinkled on food. Starter served with plenty of fresh coriander, which I had to pick off. Complained to waiter who came back and said chef apologises. The air conditioning was blowing directly over to our table, and was very cold. We asked 3 times if this could be turned down, or off, but no response. Obviously this made the food go cold quicker. My husband had mixed tandoori which was piled up on a plate which was really too small for it and did not look appetizing. The lamb chop was inedible and mostly fat and bone. My husband ordered a pint of kingfisher which never arrived. We decided to give up and asked for the bill. No hot towels were brought. Waiter asked if everything was OK and we explained the issues, but no-one came to speak to us. The bill was overcharged - £3 for 2 poppadoms without pickles, no free tonic water, and about another £2.50, but by this time we just could not be bothered. No one came to take payment, so we had to go to the bar and pay, where there was a queue of people waiting for takeaways. After this fiasco we are very unlikely to return.

Lovely place, fairly small inside. Had a table for 2. Price comparable to other indian’s I’ve taken him. One of the nicest Indian restaurants we’ve been to. Food lovely, staff nice & helpful.

Great food, brilliant service from friendly, helpful staff. Shashlik Chicken Bhuna was delicious. Very generous of them to bring us an impromptu starter however it was lamb which I don't eat so I can leave a review.

Visited for the first time on Saturday after many recommendations from local people.

Decided last minute to go out for a surprise meal for my boyfriend. Found this one on line and it had great reviews. We were not disappointed. The staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We started off with the popadoms and chutney tray, a nice change to have a tamarind one on there.For the main I had a Mango Murghi and my boyfriend had a Chicken Jal Jal. we had our usual extras of pilau rice, saag aloo, onion bhajis and garlic naan. The curry's were delicious and piping hot, plenty of meat in them. The only criticism, and its not a deal breaker is that the garlic naan was a bit too dry, a bit more garlic butter maybe on it and a touch thicker and it would be perfect. All in all this place a great find and we will definitely go again. 9.5 out of 10 as the garlic bread just let it down a bit....

I loved the seating arrangement facing the television with a great view of England game.. I opted for the Pathia.. When it finally arrived there was lack of heat in both taste and temperature.. No one there bothered to ask if the food was OK.. There was a good amount of meat in the dish.

Four couples went for a meal and first impressions do count - we were welcomed like royalty. Seated quickly and drinks and popadoms arrived within minutes.

Great selection of Gins and beers. Had Trio of kebabs for starters and the bite size golden fried puris were a delight , along with a healthy amount of salad. Ordered Jinga Moments for mains and it was served with balanced spice and subtle heat, mushrooms in the dish were caramelised well and the prawns were cooked to perfection. Onion salad with fresh chillies and chat masala was a great side dish too. Table was attended to often topping the drinks and clearing away the empties. Well done to the team.

Superb prawn puree. Never had a bad meal here and service always good. Took a non curry eater with me who loved it. Plenty of choice for those who don't like the hot stuff

Visited this last night for my wife's birthday. we had the shared platter, a lamb dish, a chicken dish, rice and chapatis.

We called the restaurant on a Friday night at 6.30 and they managed to find us a table for 7pm. Having driven past the restaurant many times we've always been intrigued but wondered if the setting might be awkward as we had assumed it'd be quite pokey inside. How wrong we were!

We have always loved the food we used to get at Blue Ginger the sister restaurant to Golden Moments. This restaurant served us delicious food which was superbly presented. The restaurant was busy but it was a Saturday evening and had lots of people picking up to take away, this is obviously a well established restaurant in the area. Will definitely be back again, it’s just a shame they sold the Blue Ginger which was closer in Bristol as it’s not as good as it once was or as Golden Moments still is!!

We decided to try Golden Moments as a result of reviews being so good. We’re so glad we did. The warm welcome to a lovely clean restaurant was clearly genuine. Even though the place was busy, we were welcomed as if we were the first to arrive. We were seated, with plenty of room between tables (unlike a few I have used). The orders were taken and the food took a while to arrive but Boy! Was it worth the wait. Beautifully presented, well cooked and incredibly tasty, the food was just fabulous. So hot it was clearly straight out of the pan or oven, no microwave preprep here. The portions are very good but not so much that you can’t eat it. We all raved about our choices the second we put them in our mouths. The best bit? The cost. Four of us had poppadums and pickles, starters, main course, rice, sag aloo and two naans (the peshwari was gorgeous) and two gin and tonics (one each for the ladies) and it came to £86. Probably one of the best meals we have ever had for under £25 per head. Booking is recommended as it was busy, but don’t let that stop you. Book and go, you won’t regret it.

Had a recommendation from a friend so after golf decided we would give it a go and so glad we did. The restaurant looks small from the outside but a bit like the tardis as seems to wrap around the central kitchen with much more seating at the back. We thought it may not have been so busy as we got there at 6 but already pretty full at the front where we sat but was completely full by eight and deservedly so. The menu choice is excellent and a lot of very different and individual dishes and the quality of the food superb. We had popadom's and chutney tray, kebab platter for two, followed by signature dishes of Golden murg and Bengal murghi. All beautifully presented tender and tasty. We saw plenty of dishes come out and all looked equally good and the comments from around the restaurant showed that everyone enjoyed their meals. There were also lots of people collecting takeaways and clearly the staff knew many customers and greeted them as friends We were made to feel very welcome and this will become a regular after golf / even bring my girlfriend treat. I will be giving the takeaway a go as well if we can't get a table.

If you want to try the best Indian/Bengali cuisine for miles around then you have to come here. Love it so much we keep coming back and i always try to chose a different dish. I've never been disappointed. The menu is so varied and the food always cooked to perfection. Best of all though is the great welcome and service you get. The family make you feel really special and the atmosphere is so friendly and relaxed. We always have a great night and will keep on coming back. Thanks guys, you're amazing!

This is the best and only place to eat curry in the bath area. You need to book. Don't eat anything in the day before going

We went for dinner on a recommendation. Checked out the menu online beforehand and it had chilli paneer so was a must!! Did not disappoint, we all had different and all enjoyed what we had. The wine was pretty reasonably priced so that was also a positive. Would go back again and would recommend

Had a takeaway for myself and my wife on Friday 31st August. Really enjoyed the flat onion bhajis. Wife had vegetable Biriani and I selected a lamb Buna. Both very well cooked with lovely sauces. Generous portions and very chatty engaging staff. Will be going again.

We have loved Golden Moments for some time, and are never disappointed! We are regular takeaway fans, but eating in is even better! The chicken is always succulent, excellent flavour, superb service and well priced for the quality. Would certainly recommend this as the best Indian in the local area.

Three of us had a wonderful dinner at this gem of a restaurant and are keen to visit again (and again). It’s clearly very popular with locals and the charming staff were very friendly and keen that we enjoyed our meal. We had, amongst other dishes, an incredible sticky chicken, lamb tikka balti and a special king prawn shaslik bhuna. My vegetarian friend was spoiled for choice and we all had excellent coffee before we left. Our compliments to the chef!

I come over here from Keynsham, shunning 2 or 3 Indian take aways en route, as this is good eats. Good variety, good banter.

We stopped here last week on the way to Bristol from Stonehenge.we ordered mixed grill starter and we asked for nice chicken curry and garlic nans for mains.We enjoyed everything All items were tasty and freshly cooked and mainly kingfisher on draft.

Visited as a booked party of 7 on the 14th. I had heard good things about Golden Moments and wasn’t disappointed. Three of the group had starters and poppadoms which we didn’t have to wait long for. The food was very good indeed and then it was cleared in good order and we waited for our mains which were all different choices. I had read some reviews to say about slow service,on our visit this couldn’t be further from the truth as even though the place was busting at the seams and people were calling for takeaways we all had our mains delivered hot and in good time after we had finished our starters. The mains were generous in portion size and the amount of lamb I had in my dish was outstanding. Our party had a fabulous meal and the staff were first class. No negatives at all and the place is a little gem,will definitely be coming back for more.

We usually get a takeaway from here but decided to sit in with friends and eat in for the first time . We wasn’t disappointed the food was superb the best Indian food around here . Staff very friendly, very efficient we received our drinks and starters quickly, the staff were attentive and served us well , mains arrived plentiful and tasty followed by efficient packing up into boxes what we wanted to take home cos we couldn’t eat it all , you do get good sized portions so beware of over ordering,followed by tasty desserts . A good night out , superb service and food will always use this restaurant it’s very good

Decided to try this curry house for the first time with friends. It was a Friday evening visit, so it was busy. The staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. It took quite a while to get our order in. If you are vegetarian then the menu options are quite limited, but they are ok if you ask to have a particular variation that is vegetarian. However, beware - they don't tell you about price changes - it costs £1 more to add paneer for example. The food took ages to arrive - too long really - even in a busy restaurant. It was pleasant enough, but somewhat boring and the main courses were smallish for the money. Rice a good size portion - price was up a little on most restaurants of this sort.

My wife and I had Curry’s for a night out midweek and visited golden moments the staff and food were very good friendly and polite staff and very good food highly recommended

Myself & my family, consisting of 15 people, dined here last night & it was absolutely great, from the moment we arrived. Welcome was excellent, staff a treat to get along with, attention to all needs could not be faulted. And, as for the food, well Excellent from poppadoms through to main courses, even the rice & nanbread all consumed.
