I ordered house special fried rice it had virtually no flavour at all and was lukewarm. I also ordered Chinese spareribs these were awful The meat was hard and stale and the ribs were just warmed up and poured very weak sauce over the top I rang and complained and I was told if you don’t like them don’t bloody buy them. As a Chinese chef. This person is a disgrace to Chinese food he certainly does not know how to cook will never ever go there again.

The Chinese we had was delicious. We went for crispy prawns with chilli, crispy chilli beef, pancake roll and singapore noodles. All the food was fresh, had a kick and the portions were really big - we had plenty left over for the next day. The chilli beef had visible beef whereas it's often just enough of a slither to make it more like chewy batter. I wish the prawns had been in a bag with the sauce separate as they were soft by the time I got home - I'm sure they'd have been epic had we been able to have them crispy. The pancake roll wasn't so good but all in all possibly the best Chinese takeaway I've had :)

We were on a staycation in the area and decided to order a takeaway rather than dine in at a local restaurant. The food was brilliant and very tasty. We ordered several dishes and arrived to collect it 7 minutes after ordering. Food was ready and waiting for us. Will definitely return when next in the area

We were advised to go by our hosts. The order placed, we collected, (worth noting NO CARD PAYMENTS, CASH ONLY HERE) we chose the house special fried rice, house special chow mein and chicken & Pineapple. The first thing to note was the very large and generous portions. Packed with lots of chicken Chinese roast pork, prawns etc. Hot, perfectly cooked and very tasty. Highly recommended and great value for £20 inc prawn crackers. Go on, you deserve it!

Called in for a take away.... food was very tasty and even after my drive home still nice and hot. Did not seem too expensive and portion size was good, as was quality.

My particular favourite double happiness rice. Chilli beef lovely and fiery, The ribs always succulent . Nice selection of dishes and some speciality ones Wandering Dragon rather good. The staff are friendly and the food is tastey. Never disappoints!

On our first nights stay in a rented cottage, we decided to indulge ourselves in a Chinese supper from the Takeaway next door to our cottage - mistake! The food was overpriced and undercooked and although the counter assistant was very friendly the cook (boss/owner?) was surliness personified. Not worthy of your patronage!

We live in Ross. We go here specially for the special fried rice. Very delicious. Rest of choice is ok. 4 stars for the rice. 3 stars for everything else.

While my wife and I were away on a short break for a few days, we placed an order for some food at the Golden Kitchen in Mitcheldean. I ordered the Beef chow mein, my wife ordered the Crispy beef, and as a starter we went for the spring rolls and finished off the meal with pineapple in syrup. A short while later, the food was ready, and off we went, back to our holiday cottage a couple of miles down the road. We unpacked out food, and started dinner. What a disappointment. The crispy beef was soggy and limp, while the chow mein, turned out to be chop suey - a totally different dish to the one I had ordered. The food itself was tasteless, and lacked any form of flavour. Crispy beef is supposed to be a spicy dish. Apart from being as limp as a noodle, and in dire need of a dose of viagra, it had no spicy flavour at all. The cop suey was a tasteless goo, with few very bean sprouts, and far too many onions. The best part of the meal were the spring rolls, and they left a lot to be desired. The pineapples in syrup were soggy, with a heavy coating of what tasted exactly like old fashioned Lyles Golden syrup from a tin. After a couple of bites, these ended up in the bin Looking on the bright side, as we were on holiday, we don't ever have to eat there again.

Visited the Golden Kitchen when travelling through. Easy to find and great food, It's a takeaway only so no where to sit in. Very affordable too!! Thumbs up!

Food good; service fast, friendly, efficient. All the time. I work in Mitcheldean, so have used this take-away probably 20 times in the last 7 years. It has always been good. The service is always fast, friendly, efficient...the food has always been hot, tasty and pleasant. If you and wondering whether to give it a try, I would say that you won't be disappointed.

Will never go back, when we got home and opened the bag there was no chips and we had chicken chow main instead of chicken foo young. The sweet and sour chicken sauce was bland, the chow main was very greasy and lacking in substance other than noddles and the spring roll was extremely greasy, almost £26 wasted
